But man, he looks pale. When he started turning his eyes toward me a couple of times... it hit me. He’s lost so much weight, too—just constantly working himself to the bone. Aside from the fact that he's a genuinely good guy, and he always will be... time is just cruel. In his case, it should have just stopped.
It honestly felt like it almost didn't happen... at one point, the keyboardist started to go for the ball throw, but Morrissey gave him this hand signal to hold off—like he wasn't quite ready to call it quits yet. It’s like when they leave the stage and come back out, they aren't even sure if they're actually going to play the encore. I think people were just left reeling from that video. Everything was such a standard, normal concert, and then suddenly that ending hits you. It leaves everyone totally disoriented. It’s like you're just out having a good time, and then suddenly you're staring at footage of some horrific disaster or mass slaughter. It ruins the vibe for me. Honestly, I just want to go home.🤦
He reached out to Julia, basically checking in to see if she was doing alright... Julia runs that True to You site and she’s been at literally every single show for ten years now... like, every single one. I was standing right behind her, too... he talks to her at almost every concert, so it made sense that he gave her a shoutout this time.

Anyway, what’s your take on how the crowd reacted once the video wrapped up and he came back out for the encore?
Alright, the dust has finally settled on my impressions... The show itself was incredible. When he stepped out right in front of me, I honestly thought I was hallucinating—like someone had just smacked me upside the head with a frying pan. I actually felt a bit bad for the poor guy looking out at us from the stage, haha... I was just completely flooded with adrenaline. The only thing that sucked about the concert was definitely the crowd; they really managed to ruin the whole vibe and my memory of the night. It was basically a gathering of total psychos. I even overheard this one group arguing—some woman who got shoved in the front row was yelling, "Do you even know who this guy is?? He's been to a thousand Morrissey concerts and doesn't even pay for tickets anymore... don't you dare touch him!!!"

And yeah... surrounded by all that, I felt like I was part of some twisted cult. 🤦
It wasn't what I was expecting; honestly, it was worse. I was surrounded by a bunch of freaks in the front row, including Julia... just weeping and wailing. Good grief, it felt like I was at a Lady Gaga show. The concert itself was a bit of a shocker... people were literally throwing up around me... even he looked surprised... It seemed like the crowd was just totally lost, not knowing whether they should be clapping or what. Morrissey doesn't look healthy at all... at least not to me.
Missing this concert was never even an option for me. He’s been my absolute favorite singer for ten years straight... there were even long stretches where he was pretty much the only thing on my playlist, along with The Smiths. I actually almost flew out to Berlin for a show once too, but work stuff just got in the way. It's a bummer thinking there might be certain songs I'll never get to hear live... just a thought. Skipping the show wasn't an option; the second the announcement hit the news sites, I grabbed my tickets. I might have even been one of the first ones to do it.🤦

Everyone else, have a blast at the show and enjoy yourselves. 😁 Let me know how it goes.😁

Henry Rollins talking about Morrissey, haha. 😁
Mexico City setlist:

The Queen Is Dead
(The Smiths song)
Suedehead
Speedway
Staircase at the University World Peace is None of Your Business Neal Cassady Drops

Dead The Bullfighter Dies Kiss Me

Lot Trouble Loves Me Yes

I Am Blind I'm

Throwing My Arms Around Paris Smiler with Knife Kick the Bride down the Aisle I'm Not

Man Scandinavia

How Soon Is Now? (The Smiths song) Istanbul Meat Is Murder

(The Smiths song)

Encore:
Asleep
(The Smiths song)
Everyday Is Like Sunday

He could afford to be a little more flexible with the setlist, especially when playing in territories he doesn't visit all the time—something most other performers actually bother to do. But hey, this is Morrissey... as long as he’s happy, right? 👎

Looking at this whole lineup, I have no clue why "Throwing My Arms Around Paris" even made the cut... plus, those two are just so-so for me (Smiler with Knife and Kick the Bride down the Aisle).

Also, hmmm, feels like he’s prepared an educational lecture for us on all the heavy existential questions facing modern man... personally, I’d rather dance to some old-school Morrissey. Doesn't even have to be The Smiths—he’s got so many great upbeat tracks... Billy Bud, Sister I'm a Poet, November Spawned, Sing Your Life, etc., etc.

Or just hit up that sketchy little dive shop over in downtown Chicago.

Who knows? We'll find out soon enough...

Morrissey just touched down in NYC
City
Subject: Two long-time band members just walked out, which is why the shows are being pushed back... we're talking people who have been in the trenches with him for years. Solomon Walker on bass and guitarist Jesse Tobias are gone. Honestly, I have no clue what’s actually going on behind the scenes... or what kind of set we’re even going to get at this point.🤦

Dead or Alive - Mysty Circles (Dub) (1983) (Sophisticated Boom Boom - LP - 1984)

If you actually take a good look at their debut album cover, the breakup doesn't seem all that shocking. 🤣

He recently mentioned feeling bad about how David Bowie spent years stuck at home in a depression eating meatballs, and while he's glad the new album finally dropped, he hasn't even listened to it because the cover art is just hideous...🤣

btw a-ha? 👏 🤣 I actually dig some of their stuff—songs like the one mentioned, Hunting High and Low, Stay on These Roads, etc. 🤣

Also, has anyone actually spotted those posters anywhere around town?
They just pushed back the Istanbul show scheduled for tomorrow too... something weird is going on here. There’s a high chance they’ll cancel the Mexico City and Washington, D.C. dates as well. Let's hope I'm wrong about this one.
Correction, the Dublin gig actually went down on December 1st.
Looks like he barely moved any tickets in Athens... what a bizarre tour this is turning out to be. Does anyone here have any actual insight into how many tickets were sold for the Washington, D.C. show?
So, I’m reading that he canceled tonight's gig... apparently, he missed his flight in London. I mean, what was he doing waiting three days to head out? (His last show was in Dublin on the 2nd). He already bailed on the Switzerland date because of the flu, and now he’s claiming he’ll try to squeeze Athens in somewhere. Is he even going to make it to us? We still have Istanbul and New York ahead of us. This is getting ridiculous.🤣

Mozart might have been thinking about next year...😁
I’m looking for some insight or anyone who’s dealt with this before: what actually happens when a HER2-positive breast cancer patient can’t tolerate any of their prescribed therapies (like Herceptin or Anastrozole)?

My mom is reacting incredibly poorly to the treatment and I’m honestly getting scared. She’s going to be nearly a month and a half without taking anything by the time she sees her oncologist again... I managed to get her an appointment at the Mayo Clinic for early June, but I'm terrified that something bad might happen in the meantime. Her blood pressure spikes and she gets these massive headaches and bone pains whenever she takes the pills; apparently, she feels better when she isn't taking them at all...

Does anyone know of any supplements I could get her to help boost her immune system? It was an adenocarcinoma in her left breast, but nothing else seems to have spread... Has anyone here had experience dealing with this specific type of cancer?
Thanks a ton, Angela Wright, for the heads-up!!!!
Question for Angela Wright: Last year, my mom was diagnosed with aggressive left breast cancer. She had three main tumors, the largest being about 1cm. They performed a full mastectomy and cleared everything out—the results were clean, meaning there was no metastasis. She went through six rounds of chemo, which she handled incredibly well (she didn't have radiation, though I'm not sure why some people get it and others don't), and now she’s been on Herceptin for almost a year. Right now, they’re monitoring her other breast and a uterine fibroid (keep in mind she's HER2 positive), but the Herceptin seems to have stabilized everything; her labs look great. However, my grandmother went through this exact same scenario, and I refuse to let my mother suffer the same fate. I want her ovaries and uterus removed. I’ve asked her oncologist and her primary doctor multiple times, and I keep telling them I'm being pushy, but they insist it's unnecessary because everything looks fine right now. But I know "fine" can turn into something else in the blink of an eye. I want her to be evaluated at the Mayo Clinic so we can get a second opinion. Since her cancer is hormone-driven, why won't they listen to us when we ask to just take all those risks off the table? Who should I contact at the Mayo Clinic? She only has a few months left on the Herceptin, and I'm terrified of what happens once she's off it.

To add to that, my grandma had the same situation and only lived five years after her initial diagnosis, and I am not losing my mother like that. My mental state is also completely trashed right now because I spent the first part of this just refusing to face reality. Mom has been acting incredibly brave—almost like she's just dealing with the flu—but I'm scared that if there's a recurrence, she won't be able to hold up. As for me, watching this therapy wind down feels like a ticking clock over my head. I spend my time crying (not in front of her) and worrying constantly. On top of that, her left arm is swelling and hurting. She tends to blame it on leg pain, which drives me insane because I immediately spiral thinking it's a relapse. And now, they actually want to send her back to work once she finishes the Herceptin.

Is it normal for her arm to hurt and swell that much? She's ended up in the ER twice just from the pain. And seriously, who do we talk to at the Mayo Clinic?

Thanks in advance for any help.
Here we go, another loser... Have you considered that maybe you’re just the problem? Maybe it's just a little chemical imbalance in your brain and you're turning your life into a soap opera. How many more years are you planning on being this dramatic? Eat some more greens and get over yourself.😁
Bryan Palmer3 said:I'm 26, I can hold a conversation just fine, but honestly, finding genuine, sincere friends these days feels almost impossible...
I even stepped out just now to grab some cigarettes—and I haven't touched a pack in ages—and even then, it's still a struggle to connect with anyone...🙂

Stop playing the victim. No one is going to swoop in and save you, and nobody’s going to hand you a roadmap for your life on a silver platter. Most people aren't going to be there when things actually get heavy—that's just how it works. Accept that reality and learn how to stand on your own two feet. Grab a bike, go for a ride, head to the library, or just find a movie to lose yourself in. Just deal with it.

So, let me ask you something: when was the last time you actually picked up the phone and reached out to someone to grab a coffee? Or are you just sitting there waiting for everyone else to do the heavy lifting and call you first?
