- When checking for a pulse, I put my hand on their abdomen and they just stare at me like I'm being weird 😉
- It’s exhausting having to run to the restroom constantly because the baby is pressing on my bladder 🙂
- Then there are the endless questions about what I'll do with the dog...
- And whether I should pull my older kid out of preschool since I'll be home, supposedly "freeing up a spot" for someone more needy 🙂🙂🙂 - Honestly, I don't get it... I won't be on maternity leave forever 🤷

🙂🙂🙂
A daycare teacher asked me the exact same thing when I was a kid. If only having an opinion could actually kill you... 🙂

And then there’s this condescension regarding the name choice. 🙄
Mea culpa for not consulting the Catholic liturgical calendar, my extended family, and probably the clerk at the local CVS before deciding. 🙂
Steven Walker8 said:So, I’m jumping into this lovely little circle of women/girls... dilemma time... okay, my last period was December 17th. Since my cycle usually runs about 28-29 days, I should be due around January 14th or 15th! We've been going hard at it, tracking fertile days and all that jazz, but there's a catch. My breasts have been sore and heavy since ovulation—nipples are super sensitive, plus some itching and my stomach has been cramping like I'm about to start any second. And that's not even the half of it. Yesterday morning, I noticed this weird, brownish-red discharge, and it hasn't stopped... nothing on my underwear, just shows up on the toilet paper after I pee (which I've been doing a lot lately). I know it's early, and I took a test yesterday, but it was negative. Called my OBGYN and she basically told me to just wait until my period is actually due. I had this exact same discharge during my first pregnancy, but that was in the second month once I already knew I was pregnant (and had the labs to prove it) while taking Dabroston. I'm a bit anxious because I had a cone biopsy for CIN III/CIS five years ago, though I did get a full checkup and cleared everything with my doctor before we started trying. Has anyone else dealt with this—that light spotting/discharge right before you find out you're pregnant?

I had implantation bleeding around day 23–25, just a few days before my period was supposed to arrive.
It was a bit of a slimy, bloody discharge. My doctor sent me for a blood test the day after it stopped, and my beta HCG was 283.😍
I’m rooting for you to have that exact same experience.😉
good luck !

Does anyone here have any firsthand experience or reliable info regarding implantation bleeding? I’ve been reading up on it, and apparently, it can show up about 6 to 10 days after conception. It might look like light, bright red spotting, or it could be more of a brownish, old-looking discharge... just various little things like that.

Well, it actually happened to me yesterday—just some very light bleeding, leaning much more toward that brownish tint. We had unprotected sex about seven days ago, and then a few more times after that, though that seems a bit early, doesn't it? So, I’m having my doubts about whether it was from that initial encounter seven days back. 😁

I am fully aware that nobody here can give me a definitive answer—only my OBGYN or a pregnancy test can really settle this—but I was wondering if, based on your own experiences, this could actually be a sign of pregnancy? Normally, I don't deal with any weird spotting like this unless it's right before my period starts, but this feels different, and my actual period isn't due for another two and a half weeks. Do you think it’s way too early to take a test since my period isn't even late yet?

That could definitely be implantation bleeding.
I experienced it myself, about 6 days before my expected period. For me, it looked like light spotting and lasted for three days.
It's still a bit early for a home test. In my case, I went in for a blood test to check my HCG levels and found out I was pregnant three days before my period was even supposed to arrive.😁
Rubbing the stomach and those endless old wives' tales about barley!
