If anyone cares—if not, no big deal! 🙂
Anyway, ladies, just enjoy yourselves. I don't really plan on hanging around this forum much anyway... try not to get too worked up over everything; you're young, so save those nerves for something else!
I just don't get why people are always fighting on these forums... (it's hardly social, is it?).
Basically, when someone actually has some decent insight into these issues or cases involving kids with various struggles... believe me, there's a reason they might be feeling irritated by the reaction... 😢 unfortunately...
Wishing you all the best... and if someone tells you something for your own good and the sake of your babies, at least give it a little thought instead of just brushing it off and claiming you know better than they do... because even on amateur sites like WebMD or similar places where everyone ends up lurking eventually, it says the same thing: stay away from alcohol (and definitely skip the cola)... 🙂

Look, some people are retired and they've gotta kill time somehow...
Some folks are bored out of their minds at work...
And honestly? Some people just love this damn forum...

At the end of the day, everyone's got the right to spend their free time however the hell they want.
Michael Barrett11 said:It honestly gets under my skin seeing some of you having to stay completely immobile because you’ve started opening up early. For me, I feel like I could go for a mile-long walk and still not have any issues with opening up prematurely.

I realize it isn't exactly comfortable to start opening up before you're ready, but I suppose I’m just being selfish—I’d really prefer to get the baby here as soon as possible.

Please don't come for me 🙂

Man, I feel that. I want my little angel here yesterday. 😍
But... let's be real, rushing things isn't exactly great for the baby. They need to develop properly and actually have lungs that work (currently at 32 weeks).
If everything looks good at my checkup next week, I'm getting back out there for those walks.

Once I hit week 35 or 36, if I'm still dilating? I don't care. 😍 I'll be hopping around, taking the stairs, doing whatever it takes... just get my angel here already!
Ugh, it’s driving me absolutely insane. It’s such a gorgeous day outside, sun is shining, everything’s perfect... but I’m feeling a little too open right now so I really need to just stay put and rest, grrr
But hey, I’ve got my checkup next week, so if things are looking up, I’ll finally be able to get out and hit the road again starting then.
Michael Barrett11 said:I feel pretty pathetic, if I’m being honest.
I’m not going to go into the reasons why, nor am I going to explain exactly what happened or why I feel this way. I just want to say that I deeply regret certain things, and honestly, I’m embarrassed by how much those regrets weigh on me.

I don't ask for much, and I really don't expect a lot out of life—truly, I don't. But when I feel like even the absolute bare minimum is being withheld from me, or when I'm treated like I haven't even earned that baseline, and people constantly fixate on my flaws... well, it makes me want to just throw myself off a balcony.

I'm so sorry you're feeling this way.
Since you didn't give any specifics, I don't really know how to offer more concrete comfort.

God, I hate it when people just fixate on your mistakes and completely ignore all the good stuff you do. It makes you just want to throw in the towel and stop trying altogether. When someone only sees the negatives while taking all your hard work and positive actions for granted, it's infuriating. Nobody appreciates the effort.

I hope this passes quickly. Honestly, I hope you're just being extra sensitive right now—in a good way, meaning things aren't actually as catastrophic as they feel in this moment.

It sucks that you have to deal with this, especially right now while you're pregnant. This is the one time everyone should be looking out for you and treating you like royalty.

Hope this helps even just a little bit...
I think you’ve put on like 45 pounds—you can't just say it like that. Maybe once the pregnancy is over, you'll end up even thinner than you were before
It’s only like 5 pounds and she’s out here talking this much trash, so what the hell is her problem?! 😠
She's being totally moronic (sorry for insulting your mother-in-law) but honestly, if you weren't pregnant, I bet if you gained 5 pounds she wouldn't even notice it.
God, stuff like this drives me absolutely insane
I’m honestly losing my mind right now because everything is hitting me all at once
1. I’ve got this minor wound that’s slightly open—like, barely a scratch, but still—so I have to take it easy, which sucks because I was actually feeling amazing while crushing my workouts
2. Now that I’m forced to slow down, my hemorrhoids are starting to flare up. I mean, I've dealt with them before without any drama, but sitting around and lying on the couch all day is making things way worse
3. Plus, since I lost weight previously, the fat is just rushing straight back to my midsection😠
God, I am seriously losing my mind... I don't even know who to blame—my brother-in-law, his wife, my mother-in-law, whatever... but it feels like we have a freaking "daycare center" for four kids right in our own house. I AM LOSING IT!!!! 😠

From the crack of dawn, they’re whining, screaming, slamming doors...
And then my mother-in-law has the nerve to ask why I’m up so early, like how am I supposed to sleep through all that racket?!
Everything can be heard, even though my husband and I have our room upstairs with the door at the top of the stairs...

What the hell were they thinking having this many kids if they can't even handle them?!
They're constantly dirty, messy, hungry...

No, I refuse to wrap my head around it—how can people have this many kids when they clearly don't have the cash for even two? Did they never hear about freaking CONDOMS!!! They just don't listen. Always making a mess... (and they aren't even little anymore; the oldest is starting 2nd grade and the youngest is 3 and a half) They all need to 🙂 get a good reality check so they actually start listening to someone for once

Of course, they need something cooked right now, too. "It's too cold," "I won't eat this," "I won't eat that"... Yeah, sure, I bet they're just as picky at home, it scares me just thinking about it

And naturally, when they get sick, they're right here, because their "brilliant" parents aren't smart enough to realize there's a pregnant woman living in this house!!! I AM GOING CRAZY, COMPLETELY INSANE...
And then my mother-in-law acts surprised when I start coughing?! As if I'm always sitting around in the heat... (this was back in January)
When my husband gets home, he kicks them all out, but his mom has no backbone, leaving me stuck right in the middle of the chaos.

I finally retreated to my room and put on some nursery rhymes (for my little nugget in my belly) just so I don't have to hear them

Once my baby is born, I am NOT seeing them here. That's what I told my husband, and he already said, obviously, they have no business being here, but I'm still worried about my mother-in-law.
She even had the audacity to ask if they could babysit my little one. Yeah, right... as if I'd hand over my angel to those little savages. No freaking way

I AM LOSING MY MIND, I AM ACTUALLY LOSING IT!!! 🙂 😠 🙂
Bryan Diaz said:I was just scrolling through a thread about moms taking sick leave to care for their kids, and honestly, one particular user really got my blood pressure up. I think I’m going to stop reading those kinds of discussions altogether.

Look, don't let them get under your skin for no reason.
Not too long ago, someone on one of those women's forums drove me absolutely insane too.
I can't stand people who act like they're some kind of know-it-all 😠 and feel the need to chime in on literally everything.
Everyone’s got an opinion—unless we're talking about actual US federal laws, obviously, because then there's no debate there—but whether someone agrees with you or not is their business. You don't have to go out of your way to shut them down just because they think differently.
I’ve got them all over my ass,
noticed it just the other day,
Man, I was cracking up, honestly felt so good (call me wicked if you want)
At least I'm not the only one dealing with this crap 😂 😂
John Baker5 said:Stupid stretch marks 😠😠
On top of one line right below my belly button, I've got new ones popping up higher up now... and honestly, my stomach is the only part of my body I actually bother moisturizing 😢

Michael Barrett11 said:Those marks get on my nerves too; right now, I feel like I'm covered in them. 😢
But usually, it's the ones forming a sort of snowflake pattern above my navel that bother me most. 😁
I have them below my stomach as well (though I only really notice those when I'm looking in the mirror 😛).

So, when my little one is literally stretching my skin out, it makes sense that I've ended up with cracks everywhere. 🙄

John Baker5 said:I know for some women they're just a natural part of being pregnant... but I'm honestly scared. I still have over two months to go, and I'm worried I'm going to end up with stretch marks all over. 😢
It also really bugs me that my husband acted like I was making a huge deal out of nothing when I brought it up this morning—he basically told me why should I even care... 😢

I've had stretch marks forever (back when I was 16 and dropped from 160lbs down to 115lbs, I had a few, but they really showed up and got worse during the weight loss process)
So far in this pregnancy, I haven't gotten a single one, but that's just what's happened up until now at 25 weeks.

I read somewhere that using lard helps them disappear, so I'm definitely giving that a shot after the baby comes.
A few days ago my back was killing me—like, I was legit screaming and crying from the pain. I’m telling you, long walks and soaking in a hot tub really did the trick. Every day the pain got a little more manageable. Obviously, the soak was just for the first day, then I just stuck to walking.

And this whole weight thing? They are ALL absolute trash. 😠
Just shove them all into...
Instead of being understanding—I mean, damn, you're pregnant! Not every pregnant woman gains the same amount. Some barely put on 10 pounds, others gain like 70. I know this one girl who gained over 45 pounds and now she actually looks thinner than before she was pregnant, even without the baby. So don't sweat it.
I would seriously lose my mind if my husband was constantly nagging me about my weight.
But, for better or worse, he’s actually obsessed with how my ass and boobs have filled out lately. He isn't usually a fan of super skinny girls (which sucks for him because I love being thin)
And I bet your mom and aunt aren't exactly stick-thin either, and neither is your husband.
That "penguin" comment he made is honestly disgusting.
You're pregnant, it's not the time to be starving yourself. Explain that to him 😠 and to your mom too.

Hmm...
Look, if anyone told me I was fat, I'd go ballistic, no matter how much they claimed it was "out of love."
I am just incredibly sensitive about my weight and gaining mass, not just during pregnancy but all the time.
So if you ever find yourself in a spot like this again, just don't say it. You never know if someone is super sensitive about it like I am, or if they're just being blunt thinking it's coming from a good place.
Anthony Watson35 said:Oh my god, public transit 😠
So, some day I’m heading to work (where I spend 80% of my time STANDING, btw) and I hop on the bus. Ffs, wearing my jacket, you couldn't see anything anyway (okay, let's be real, you can barely see anything even without the jacket).
And of course, some old guy rolls up—not even ancient, maybe mid-50s—and literally almost drops her bag in my lap:
- You could stand up for me.
Not even a question. Just a statement. And "you"? Look, I know I look young, but I'm 30 damn years old, give me a break!!!
Usually, I'd freeze up, but this time I just fired back:
- I won't be standing up, I'm pregnant. I'm pregnant, walking to a job where I have to stand all day, and I really don't feel like standing right now either.
Then I just stared out the window. Who cares what they think? Not me.
Honestly, I don't get why all these retirees who have the WHOLE day to themselves decide to swarm the buses and subways EXACTLY when everyone else is commuting to work or school. 😠

That's how it should be😠
People like that drive me insane (been since my college days, I wouldn't even sit on the subway because of people like that, even when it was half empty), and there are always these intense "grandmas" and "grandpas" just looking for a reason to complain and make a scene. Ugh, I lose it over that stuff😠
At least you could have apologized, you brat😂
And I'm positive if you weren't pregnant, you'd soon start lecturing people about how disrespectful and rude kids are nowadays
Jeremy Thomas5 said:I'm exactly the same way. Afterward, my mind just starts racing with all the things I could have said. But in that moment?
I was just standing there in total disbelief. At least I didn't burst into tears.👍

We seriously have to speak up, otherwise people are just gonna walk all over you—whether it's at work, in daily life, or when it comes to the big stuff.

I absolutely hate that I get passive sometimes. It drives me crazy because I end up letting things slide when I should've stood my ground.
John Baker5 said:As for me, I usually run into those types right when I'm having a great day and feeling totally unbothered. Then later on, once I actually think about it, I start coming up with all these perfect comebacks I should have used.

So you're just like me,
you'd probably snap back if you felt like it
but we're either too "nice" or way too "chill" to actually react

But man, I've told myself a thousand times already (completely separate from any pregnancy stuff) that I seriously need to change this for my own sake.
Sean Long4 said:Honestly, when I zip up my jacket, you can't even tell I'm pregnant... and I've definitely caught people giving me those weird looks. It’s usually that judgmental vibe, like they're thinking, "Look at her sitting there like a little kid," mostly because I tend to look way younger than I actually am. But honestly? I really don't let it get to me.

I remember being at my doctor's office once (I wasn't really showing much) and they told me to take my coat off since it was freezing outside, basically implying that pregnant women get priority seating and I should just smile about it.
But... I wasn't actually pregnant. And it pissed me off so much seeing all these people cutting in line while I’m standing there like an idiot, waiting my turn patiently even though I technically had the right to go first.
Next time, I'm wearing a tight t-shirt so the bump is impossible to miss (and yeah, the jacket is coming off).

Seriously, you can't tell if a woman is pregnant unless she tells you. Sometimes she's just built a bit sturdier or has a little extra weight in her midsection, and other times, you wouldn't know it by looking at them at all.

I'm telling you, I hate how people act when someone younger does something like "taking a seat on the subway"—suddenly everyone thinks it's the rudest thing ever.
Jeremy Thomas5 said:On another note: I was riding the light rail yesterday. It’s getting harder for me to stand for long periods, so I sat down. (This was later in the evening after finishing up at work, running some errands downtown, and hitting the grocery store for a few things for the house).
I deal with low blood pressure, so cramped spaces and standing for too long really take a toll on me.

So, I hop on the train. It wasn't packed, but there was only one open seat—and it happened to be one of those priority seats reserved for people with disabilities. Naturally, I took it.
There was an older gentleman sitting directly across from me using a cane, but he was already seated. (He had been there before I boarded, so I wasn't taking a spot away from him.)
Then, a woman in her 50s comes on and stands right next to us.
Suddenly, the old man with the cane turns to her and asks, "Ma'am, would you perhaps like to sit down?" Honestly, I was thinking, *WTF? Is he picking on me?*
The woman just says, "No, thank you."
Then he goes, "Well, I suppose I have to be the one to ask when the younger generation won't... I can certainly take the priority seat while you stand there." 😠
I just stared at him in total shock and disbelief. 😲
My mind started racing: first of all, why wouldn't he just take the priority seat himself if he's making such a big deal about the right to use it? I looked him straight in the eye and asked, "Would you like to sit here?" He told me, "No." 😕
I then asked the woman if she wanted to sit, and she said no.
Look, I needed to sit. I couldn't stand, and since I was wearing a heavy coat, nobody could even tell I was pregnant. But that old man completely blindsided me.
Later on, he even muttered to the woman, "It seems the young lady is unwell..."
The sheer audacity of that man! 😠 😠

You should've just snapped back immediately without overthinking it
I AM PREGNANT AND MY LOW BLOOD PRESSURE IS MESSING WITH ME SO I CAN'T STAND FOR LONG
Let them turn red and feel awkward, not you.

Back when I was a student, I always hated that attitude from older people, like they're the only ones entitled to a seat.
And they'd often make such a scene if someone younger was sitting while, God forbid, someone older was standing.
I mean, sure, it's fine if young people stand so seniors can sit, but you never know if someone is actually sick or feeling unwell, so they should just shut it.

Jeremy Thomas5 said:signature 🙏

I'm not entirely sure why, but it does.
Up until now, I've read people complaining about it here, but I hadn't really felt it myself until recently.
And since I've experienced it firsthand, I can tell you, it's a total joke.

Hey Nata, maybe your little guy is just too small, so you haven't quite felt the urge to nitpick yet...?! 🤷

He's not that small, we're 24 weeks along, and he's already showing pretty well
Luckily, nobody ever messes with my stomach
Except for MM (which I’m totally down with) when we’re hanging out in bed and they give me little belly kisses before heading off to work.
And my sister a couple of times when she wanted to feel my abs—but hey, that’s family, and she always asked first if it was okay.

But if some random stranger tried touching my stomach? I would absolutely lose my mind.
Michael Barrett11 said:I'd be losing my mind too.
I mean, why have that many kids if you aren't going to look after them properly?
I don't get why you're constantly being handed their responsibilities. Is it just so they can have peace and quiet so they can make another one, only to end up stuck taking care of that one too?

I just don't understand certain people!

As for my grandmother, honestly, talking to her a little bit is almost a relief because it gives my blood pressure a little spike. 🤣
She didn't find out about my pregnancy or my wedding from me. She actually told me that my husband better make sure to notify her the moment I'm admitted to the hospital so she doesn't find out about the birth from someone else.
When I told my husband, he just rolled his eyes because he can't even wrap his head around her behavior.
I totally feel for you. 😁

Look, all I know is once I have this kid, I am done with the constant chaos in my house. Period. I’ll just tell Michael Barrett11 to deal with the mess and call it a day. Done.
I just want some damn peace and quiet. That’s it. I need my baby to have some calm for once, and honestly? I need to be able to actually catch a break and get away for a bit without everything falling apart. Simple as that.
I just want to raise my kid my own way without all these people breathing down my neck or trying to take them away from me. Seriously, if they keep acting like this, I’m actually going to lose it.
I’m just sitting here praying to God that my mother-in-law doesn't try to pull that "he should help out" nonsense with my oldest kid. Like, give me a break! As if I don't have enough on my plate already—now I'll be stuck babysitting him too? And oh yeah, sure, he’ll magically show up right during the holidays exactly when I'm in labor. Unbelievable. 😠
Look, if I don't make this crystal clear, Michael Barrett11 is gonna end up dropping me off at my folks' place. And honestly? Once he’s off the clock, I need him to come grab me. I just need to get out there and have some actual peace and quiet for once. My neighbor over there is my daughter-in-law, and she is a total lifesaver—basically a pro babysitter. I won't be lacking any help whatsoever once I'm settled in.

Look, I don't give a damn about what your grandma thinks. I know things are rough for you right now, especially if she’s out there "massaging" you like that—honestly, it sounds like a total nightmare for both you and Michael Barrett11.
Your mom will definitely give her a heads-up, don't sweat it. She won't be tripping.
Look, you and Michael Barrett11 are gonna have way more important things to deal with than this. You’ll be swamped with actual responsibilities and real problems. Seriously.

Linda Ward312 said:Steven Barrett6, those people of yours totally give me "Malcolm in the Middle" vibes 😁
Honestly, we’ve got my husband's aunt hanging around our place almost every single day—and that's not even counting the rest of the relatives, kids, and grandkids who basically live here, though I really hope they eventually get the hint and back off 😁. She’s always pestering us and asking way too many questions; I actually think she goes around town bragging about how much money she gives us 😲😲 😠. Plus, she shows up with a nasty cold, sniffing all over the place, and leaves piles of bruised fruit on my counter 🙄... man, I just hit my breaking point, so I finally told my husband I've had enough of her!
So now, we just quietly lock ourselves in 😁, and if she actually realizes someone is home, he’ll crack the door just enough to lie and say I'm visiting my parents or just catching up on sleep 😁
You should try something like that. Just fake being sick... tell her the little girls can't come over because you don't want them catching whatever you have 😉

Look, they aren't dumping them on me. It's my mother-in-law doing all this. And she’s over here trying to play games, telling me the oldest kid needs to head straight to my place right after school lets out instead of doing anything else. She's always pushing this stuff on me. 😠
And even if they weren't sick, it wouldn't matter because these kids are constantly catching something, and honestly, it drives me absolutely insane. Like, what are they thinking coming over to my place when I'm pregnant? Where is the common sense?! I’m terrified I’m going to catch some nasty bug from them, and I am seriously losing my mind over it.
One time I almost lost it—the oldest one (he's in second grade already, he should have at least an ounce of sense by now) was sick and hanging out at our place, eating with us, sitting right next to me, just coughing all over me. My skin was literally crawling. All I needed was for him to pass some bacteria onto me.
Once this baby is born, I am not letting any of them anywhere near the room where the baby will be if they can't stop sniffing and wheezing.😠
And don't even get me started on their toys—if you can even call them toys, since half of them are broken anyway. Everything is covered in their paperwork, I can never find anything I need, and they leave a massive mess everywhere.
I remember back when the two oldest used to come over—it was summer, my husband and mother-in-law were working, so I was home. I’d still be sleeping and they’d already be in the kitchen, drawing all over the table and making a disaster.
I was absolutely livid,
I walk in and they don't even say "good morning" or anything.😠
And there I was, acting like a fool, buying them breakfast and pastries. They made a total mess, but boy, did they know exactly when to clean up the table when the food was arriving.
Their great-grandmother used to tease them about always hovering around me, and she’d actually lock the gate so they couldn't get to me. Honestly, she's clearly the only smart one in that whole group.
My mother-in-law is driving me absolutely insane

So I’m trying to head out for a walk, right? And I’m low-key rushing because I don't want my nephew to spot me—he lives with us, and he was busy doing homework with her. Suddenly, she’s all like, "Oh, you want to take [Nephew] for a walk with you too?" Like, excuse me?! WTF?!
Just leave me alone! I want to go by myself, throw my headphones on, and just power-walk in peace without having to deal with a kid the whole damn time. If I actually wanted to take him, I would have asked.
Does she not get that I'm pregnant and just need some freaking solitude?
And then I’m stuck having to make up these stupid, lame excuses just so I don't have to walk with him.

She used to piss me off like this all the time back in the day. She’d be like, "Hey, tell him to come over to our place after school so we can finish his homework together." Seriously? He isn't my kid! And let me tell you, that little guy knows exactly how to push my buttons. He never listens to a word I say. So, if I don't want to deal with the headache of him, fine—his own mom and dad can sit there and help him with his homework. It's not my fault they had four kids and now they can't find the time to keep up.

It's the same thing with them being over here constantly. She basically babysits them, and even my husband already told her that if she wants to watch them while they're at work, she should just go over to their house instead. When the parents are working, it's pure chaos here. All four of them are screaming their heads off by 4 PM, nobody listens, and then three of them wander off somewhere when the oldest one isn't around. But the second he walks through the door? Total mayhem and fighting.
It sucks too, because they're here from early morning, so if I want to grab a kiwi for breakfast, I can't, because I don't have like five of them sitting in the fridge.
It's just ridiculous when the parents are actually home and they still send all four kids over to our place. Like, hold on a second...
Having kids is easy; actually raising them is the hard part.
But the thing that gets me most is stuff like this: We’ll be having a quiet weekend at home—just me, my husband, and his mom—with the kids not around. Then Sunday night rolls around, someone comes over to visit us, and suddenly the kids show up looking like they just crawled out of a dumpster in torn clothes and dirt everywhere. Like, do their parents even care?! My husband is losing his mind over it.

Look, I love them. I really do. I'm always buying them stuff, baking cookies, making pancakes... but now that I'm pregnant, every single disobedient kid is just grating on my nerves.
I don't mind them visiting, but there has to be some level of respect and order.

Also, I absolutely hate how my mother-in-law treats me like I'm some little child. I know she means well, I really do. For example, we were out for dinner on Saturday and she was freezing. She kept asking me, "Are you cold?" and I said, "No, I'm fine," but she asked me three or four more times! Then today she’s like, "You probably didn't even feel the cold because you were too cold yourself." Like, WTF? I'm 24, not five. I know how to take care of myself. If my own mom were here, she would have shut that down immediately, but I just felt too awkward to say anything.
Jeremy Thomas5 said:I wouldn't go so far as to say I hate pregnancy, but yeah, I definitely feel like I’m getting the short end of the stick compared to my wife, and honestly, it's starting to get under my skin.

The reality is they only get to experience that sweet, easy part right at the start—you know, the conception phase.🙂
Then the heavy lifting for the rest of the pregnancy falls squarely on us.
It sucks, but that's just how it goes. There's nothing we can do to change it.
But hey, look at the bright side: we get the incredible privilege of literally growing these little angels inside us.
