So, how do I actually find those sections in Word? S
I haven't really run into that issue before, I guess
Edit: I think I might be totally overthinking this
So, I've got this document open in Word, and I'm running into a bit of a headache. When I try to print a specific range—like, say, pages 100 through 200—it just won't cooperate. It keeps trying to print the current page or just dumps the whole thing at once instead of sticking to the range I actually want. I guess I'm wondering if this is some weird setting buried within the document itself, or maybe it's just my printer acting up?

So I stopped by the school to talk to the teacher, and she told me that someone totally messed up the transportation arrangements, which meant the teacher ended up driving just four students in his own car. I told her straight up that I expect someone to sit down with my kid and actually explain why they were left behind and what kind of criteria were used to pick who got a ride. She said she’d follow up with the teacher to figure out what really went wrong.

Nicholas King said:Where on earth are you getting this theory from? There's just no logic to it.

Not to mention, an appeal like that would be completely baseless—I mean, you might as well try to appeal because a subway train was delayed due to track maintenance. How exactly do you envision this "makeup date" working out? Would they just sit down and write entirely new exam questions just for one student? Even if some saint actually went through the trouble of doing that, how in the world would that score even be compared to everyone else's results?

Charles Murphy6 said:Look, there is a theory and there is actual ground for an appeal—you’re just being incredibly exhausting, and frankly, I don't have the energy to go back and forth with you...

Look, honestly, it doesn't even matter anymore—like I said before, the competition is over and done with, water under the bridge, as they say here in the States... but what's left is just this massive sense of disappointment from my kid toward their teacher, and then there's the whole question of why things went down that way. I feel like I really need to sit that teacher down and ask them straight up what happened and why my child got kicked out of the competition, but I'm honestly kind of terrified that I won't be able to keep my cool.

It’s not even about who wins or loses, honestly... it’s more about how the school staff acts like total jerks. If someone had just been upfront and said, "Hey, we messed up because we didn't sort out the transportation," I probably would've just tossed my kid in the car and driven them myself. But acting like they don't exist and letting a child sit there wondering why they can't go? That's what really got under my skin.

So,
today was supposed to be the regional competition for one of my kid's school subjects. The kids were told to meet in front of the school at 7:45 AM to head out to the venue, which is about twenty-five miles away. Then, around 9:00, my child walks through the door and tells me the teacher just never showed up. Apparently, the principal tried calling him a few times, but he wasn't answering. They just told the kids they could all go home. My kid is totally crushed because they worked so hard for this—they actually had the highest score in the whole district during the school-level qualifying round.
Later that afternoon, I ran into the principal and asked why the trip didn't happen as planned, and he just casually mentions that only four out of the eight kids ended up going. Hearing that honestly broke my child even more; they can't wrap their head around why they weren't part of that group, especially since they realistically had the best shot at winning the whole thing.
There’s been zero official word or explanation from the school itself. The teacher just mumbled something about being sorry not everyone could make it, without even explaining why people were left behind or why they were forced to sit around the school for an hour if the whole group couldn't go. My child is just sitting there swallowing their pride, feeling like they were unfairly sidelined, and now they don't even want to attend the after-school tutoring for that subject anymore. As a parent, I'm left wondering if teachers are actually allowed to act like this just because they're in a position of authority.
Would you guys just let this slide, or would you be demanding some actual answers from the administration?

So, I guess all those school field trips during the year really need to be officially listed in the annual curriculum and program that gets approved right at the start of the school year, and they definitely have to have a legitimate educational purpose or some kind of reason behind them, especially if they're organizing trips outside of our local town. If anything were to happen while the kids are out on one of those trips, the school basically needs to have total coverage explaining why they went and where they were headed, because if a trip isn't part of the official yearly program and teachers decide to take students along anyway, the school could end up facing some seriously massive legal trouble or sanctions.
I mean, just so we don't get too carried away with the rules, since sales have started popping up all over Chicago, you might have some teachers from the rural outskirts using parent money to refresh their wardrobes or maybe pick up some Christmas presents for under the tree.
So, about yesterday

There's this girl I'm not exactly super close with—you know how it goes, we're just acquaintances or whatever—but she got so incredibly excited when she saw my belly that she actually wrapped her arms around it and started talking to it, and then she even gave it two little kisses!!! 😲
I was just staring at her like, what is actually wrong with you???
I was almost like, okay, maybe I should head home right now and tie a red string around my finger or something, just to make sure I don't catch any bad vibes or anything evil!!!
