My period is two days late today, though I’m usually regular and expect it on the 27th. My Fertility Apps flagged ovulation at 14 days past ovulation, but I’m fairly certain it actually happened at 13 days past ovulation—meaning today would mark 9 days since my potential ovulation and intercourse. Given that I’m experiencing all the typical symptoms associated with pregnancy, I’m wondering if I should just wait and retake a test in a few days if my period still hasn't arrived?
It’s my second day since my period was supposed to arrive. I took a pregnancy test, but it came back negative, even though I didn't use my first morning urine. My fertility app flagged ovulation at 20 DPO, but I’m fairly certain it actually happened on 19 DPO, which is when we had intercourse during our fertile window. I am still nursing four times a day, though I understand that shouldn't impact the hormone levels in my urine. Usually, my cycle is a very consistent 27 days, but right now, nothing is happening. What I really wanted to ask is: if my period doesn't show up, does it make any sense to just retest in a few days?
Listen up, everyone!
I recently gave birth, and believe me, every single day was filled with constant nagging. It was always: 😛watch your blood sugar, keep an eye on your blood pressure, make sure you’re drinking enough water since it's scorching hot out, get your BP checked every day and at every checkup, don't gain too much weight, watch for the baby dropping, check if they've turned head-down, watch this, watch that... why aren't you out and about during the day? (And let me clarify, I was pregnant all through that brutal summer heat)... now your belly has dropped, now it hasn't... watch this, watch that...
Then there are the people who say things like: "Just wait until you actually give birth," or "Wait until you realize you'll never sleep again," or "Wait until you deal with that one midwife, she's the worst," or "Wait until that nurse shows up who acts like a total nightmare"... blah, blah, blah...
...then finally, the day arrived. I had contractions all night—it was intense, let me tell you—but once it came down to it, I delivered in three minutes. Since having the baby, the midwives haven't been terrorizing me, I'm actually getting decent sleep... the baby isn't some monster or anything...
...just ignore those idiots and enjoy every moment of your pregnancy and upcoming parenthood... there will always be someone acting like a know-it-all...🙂🙂🙂
