Do you get that sharp, stabbing sensation when you’re, say, bending over, shifting positions, or stretching out?
It started just a few days ago for me, and honestly, the intensity caught me completely off guard—it actually had me feeling pretty worried... does this kind of pain usually pass in a couple of days, or is it something you're stuck with for good?😕
Brenda Bishop2 said:I’ve been wondering about something lately... when you guys get one of those massive, soul-searching yawns, can you actually take a deep, satisfying breath? Or is it just one of those pathetic, shallow little gasps where your lungs end up hurting more than they actually get any oxygen

Well, personally, I can! It honestly feels like it depends on how high your diaphragm sits—basically, just how much "room" you have to work with.
I’m dealing with intense bloating, shortness of breath, and this sharp, stabbing pain in my abdominal muscles from being stretched way too far. I can't even find a comfortable position to sit or lie down in, and my D-dimer levels are elevated... I just can't take any more of this.
Nicholas Gonzalez2 said:This damn cellulite that’s suddenly decided to take up residence all over my thighs 😱 🙂
how on earth do I get rid of this RIGHT NOW!!!!???!!! 🤦 🙂 I swear I didn't have this before, but now... I don't think I'm even exaggerating when I say it looks like an orange peel 🙂
anyone got ideas????

There isn't a quick fix, unfortunately. You might try some massage work, alternating between hot and cold water to boost circulation, or maybe a good exfoliant...
just stay away from creams and intensive treatments for now
Jeremy Thomas5, they’re just salty because you actually have a life...
I haven't had the headspace to be bothered by trivial nonsense lately because I've been completely consumed by "real" problems—medical issues, hospital stays, constant anxiety, old traumas... you name it. Honestly, there was a point where I thought I just wasn't going to make it through
So, now I’m stuck on bed rest, and my aunt, with the absolute best intentions, decides to send me two books to help pass the time. Well, I picked up the first one this morning and I am absolutely floored!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The book opens with a pregnant woman falling down a flight of stairs and losing her baby, and then she’s coming home from the hospital to face that empty feeling in her womb and an empty nursery... I mean, seriously... it's pure horror
I was BEYOND LIVID!!!
I’m sorry, but honestly, what is wrong with some people? How could she possibly think this was appropriate to send me!!!!! Does anyone out there actually have a brain?!!
As if I wasn't already losing my mind from all the stress... just great.
I couldn't help but think of you all today...
I was out grabbing some pastries with my mom at a local bakery in Seattle, and this sweet little old lady started chatting me up. She kept asking how far along I am and all that usual stuff. When I mentioned I already have two little girls, she just looked at me and said, "Well, those kids aren't to blame! You'll get a boy next time."🤣
My mom and I just gave each other a side-eye and absolutely lost it laughing.
By the way, I had a bit of a rough time on the bus earlier—people were being a little too pushy with the elbowing—but that’s usually just the younger crowd. Honestly, the hardest part about being pregnant is just trying to dodge elbows in a crowd!
Oops, it looks like there’s some accidental leaking whenever you laugh, sneeze, or cough.
That usually means your pelvic floor muscles aren't quite holding up the way they should be—they've lost a bit of their strength.
A great way to fix this is through Kegel exercises. Here’s a simple trick: every time you go to the bathroom, try to pause and stop the flow mid-stream using those muscles, then finish up as normal. It’s like doing reps at the gym for your core—it builds that muscle memory and strength over time!
Steven Reed said:Yesterday I received my first "compliment": you're looking fat 🤣
Naturally—my mind went straight to 🤣 🤣
I honestly just burst out laughing 🤣

Then my aunt dropped by for a visit and goes, "Well, at least you aren't fat yet." 🙄 I mean, seriously? That isn't exactly a glowing remark either! Is it always going to be about our weight?
Anyway, I told my husband how much I vent here because people can be so incredibly tactless when it comes to pregnant women and their bodies—he knows I have zero patience for that kind of talk.

By the way, he hadn't even seen my mom in six months, but he understood perfectly when she suggested I was getting heavy
The people defending her didn't even get through the front door before they started in on him—telling him how inappropriate that was, how much I hate those comments, the whole works. It was a full-blown monologue, loud voices and everything!
I tried to calm him down, and then he told me I wasn't fat, but the poor woman was just so flustered and overwhelmed that I don't know what I said to make it worse! 🤣
Yehane, if a friend keeps bugging you about it, just give them a heavy dose of reality to shut it down!
My close friend actually hit her pregnancy milestone a week before I did, and she was spiraling because she wasn't feeling anything at all. It turns out the doctors told her it’s just because she has an anterior placenta—that's why everything feels so different!
It’s honestly getting under my skin. Ever since I found out I was pregnant, my husband’s sister and her husband have suddenly become staples in our lives. We live in different cities, yet they’re constantly reaching out and making trips to see us. Since she already has three kids of her own, I guess we’re finally "equals" in their eyes now? Personally, I feel like I haven't changed one bit from being a non-pregnant person to this.
By the way, she’s been relentless lately with those intrusive questions like, "So, when are you guys having more?" We just shut those down every single time because, honestly, there's no rush—my husband is turning 34 soon and I'm 31.

And then there's the constant commentary on my bump. Last time we saw them, she couldn't take her eyes off it; she was staring so intensely I actually had to tug my shirt down and say, "Okay, fine, look all you want!"
They’re swinging by today for some business in town, and if I weren't pregnant, I’m pretty sure they wouldn't bother stopping by at all. It’s sweet of them, I suppose, but I feel like a circus freak being put on display.
...So, I’ve decided I’m wearing something oversized today specifically to dodge any talk about the belly.
...And frankly, just because I’m pregnant doesn't mean I want my entire existence to revolve around pregnancy and kids every time we talk. (Is this post even relevant for the non-parents here? haha)

On a side note, regarding gendered comments—they really don't need to exist.
I’ve carried two girls so far and haven't dealt with any mindless remarks yet, but if someone decides to be rude, trust me, I won't be staying quiet.
I am just so over people acting like they have a free pass to comment on my life whenever they feel like it.

Also, a little health vent: it's driving me crazy that I've developed these tiny broken capillaries on the left side of my stomach. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone else dealing with that.
I’m honestly starting to get on my own nerves because I still haven't pulled the trigger on anything, even though I have a pretty clear idea of what I want
It’s not like I’m being superstitious or anything, but it feels like I’m actually afraid to make the purchase. It’s like I need to break through this mental barrier first
I just keep putting it off—it's always "I'll do it after this checkup," then "okay, maybe after the next one..."
What the ??? I’m actually scaring myself here... I really am my own worst enemy
Shouldn't we be venting our frustrations here instead of letting this whole thread just drive us crazy?
Mary, there’s already a dedicated discussion about what foods to avoid during pregnancy, and I think that's a much better fit for this conversation than what we're doing now.

Even though it’s beside the point right now, I personally didn't touch a single drop of alcohol—not even before I knew I was pregnant, simply because I knew the risk was there. That said, at the end of the day, it's an individual choice, and everyone has the right to make their own decisions regarding their body.
I personally believe that having a tiny glass of wine once a month isn't going to do any harm. Honestly, I'm way more concerned about pesticides, herbicides, harsh chemicals in our skincare, smog, and all those various types of electromagnetic radiation (not to mention the fallout from nuclear issues overseas that could reach us soon).
Look, we live in the real world. If I tried to live by some impossible, utopian standard where everything has to be perfectly pure, I shouldn't have even gotten pregnant in the first place, and I might as well just give up entirely.
It’s honestly getting so frustrating—I can't stop dealing with these constant nosebleeds, and my stomach is bloating so much that I’m genuinely starting to worry about what’s going to happen by the end of the month. Seriously, where is all this extra space even coming from?
Steven Reed said:The fact that I’m still dealing with constant nausea at 29 weeks—it’s truly a marvel of modern biology 🙂

Oh man, you poor thing! I truly feel for you.
I was stuck with morning sickness for three straight months, tossing my cookies three times a day—it was absolutely brutal...
Hang in there!
I originally started coming here just to vent all my frustrations (and honestly, I fully intend to keep doing 🙂), but lately, this thread has actually been making me laugh! It’s such a blast reading about everything that gets under our skin—it makes me feel like even us "sweet, innocent" types can let our mischievous side out once in a while.
By the way, my tall hubby actually has a couple of horizontal stretch marks on his lower back that he didn't even realize were there until I pointed them out. It's funny because, a few years before I even got pregnant, I was obsessing over whether I'd get stretch marks—like, would it be the end of the world?

But you know what? I couldn't care less now. If he isn't worried about them, we shouldn't be either—especially when we know exactly why they happened in the first place...
Merry, I have to admit, I’m feeling a bit anxious too—especially since things have become such a complicated mess on my end. But then again, I’m starting to realize that staying stuck in this negative headspace is only making everything feel ten times heavier.
I finally made a pact with myself: I’m going to do everything within my power, but I am officially done stressing over the stuff that's completely out of my control. It's just not worth the energy.

Instead, I’m trying to focus on the bright side. I find myself daydreaming about all the good stuff—like what the babies will actually look like, or those sunny summer afternoons strolling through Central Park with the stroller, or even picking out names... You really have to flip the script and focus on the positives, otherwise you're just torturing yourself for no reason.
Ugh, honestly, Normabel isn't the answer here. My doctor put me on it for contractions, but I try to dodge it whenever I possibly can. To be real with you, I think I’ve only actually taken about four pills in the last three weeks, and even then, it was only because things were getting seriously intense.

So, I finally decided to take a Xanax for the very first time in my life. My entire plan was simple: knock it back, drift off into a peaceful slumber, and wake up feeling completely wiped out and emotionally drained. But guess what? Nope! Not happening! It’s like I expected a heavy fog to roll in, but instead, I'm just sitting here wide awake. Total plot twist!
I feel like I’ve been completely off my game lately! Honestly, for the fourth time now, I’ve been totally irritable, picking fights over nothing, and just feeling generally frazzled—I even ended up getting into a huge spat with my husband. I’m sitting here looking at myself like, "WTF is going on?"😕
I was just reading through the fine print on my prescription instructions, and one particular side effect caught my eye: irritability. It’s funny how those little warning labels work, isn't it? You read them and think, "Well, I didn't realize I was signing up for a mood swing!" It’s a bit like buying a high-performance sports car only to find out the engine tends to overheat if you drive it too fast—it works great, but there’s that one specific quirk you have to manage. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of stuff before?😕😕
It seems you might have sent a fragment or a typo! Could you please provide the full text you'd like me to rewrite? I'm ready to dive in and give it that polished, upbeat, and uniquely American flair once I have the source material!😲 I’m just not following... and then there’s that mention of leakage issues—which is exactly what I was dealing with myself!
cosmicfox8 said:My husband went absolutely ballistic yesterday, and then he did it again today—I honestly can’t even stand to be in the same room as him right now! 😠

He had the nerve to sit there, acting all self-important, telling me that HE won't be having a third kid once I hit 30. 😲😲😲

The thing is, I'm already pregnant with our second baby—I'm 36 weeks along—and I've been in total physical misery for weeks. My back feels like it's literally snapping, walking is a chore, and my hormones are just all over the place... and yet, he has the audacity to give me this ultimatum that I have to have another one within two years of this birth.

I mean, what on earth is going through his head? And the fact that he actually thought he could say that to my face!!!!!! Honestly, it's a good thing I didn't go full crazy and claw his eyes out. 😠🙂:2up:

Seriously, what is wrong with them? You'll probably end up asking yourself the same thing.
They just blurt out whatever nonsense pops into their heads, act like they didn't say anything, and somehow manage to walk away unscathed.
Hey Tina, have you thought about just telling your husband he really let you down? You could explain that you were hoping for a bit more support from him, and maybe once he realizes how much his reaction stung, he'll stop calling you that.🤷
Honestly, if I were in your shoes, I would have absolutely lost my mind.

I actually found myself breaking down in tears last night over the exact same thing!
My husband just headed straight to bed without even checking if I was coming or saying goodnight.
So, there I am, starting to tear up because he didn't even say goodnight, when suddenly he comes over, pulls me into a big hug, and starts soothing me.
Looking back, the whole situation feels pretty hilarious, even though in the moment I was convinced my hormones had completely hijacked my brain!😁
