I absolutely lost my cool on the subway yesterday. Seriously, what is wrong with people? Is it actually against the law to OFFER a seat to someone who needs it?!?!?!!??! It’s like everyone sitting there thinks they’re getting an extra bonus in their paycheck just for occupying a seat. 😠

I guess I am genuinely worried about the weight gain. I have such a small frame, so every extra pound shows up immediately. I’ll consider myself lucky if I don't hit 175 pounds before I go into labor, 🙏🙏 because right now I’m sitting at 170.
My partner does the same thing sometimes—hurting my feelings under the guise of "just kidding" (though thankfully, it hasn't been about my weight yet—better for him!)—and it's all supposedly in good spirits, but for God's sake, just think for a second about what you're saying and how you're joking. Especially now that he knows I'm not someone to be trifled with. 🙄
Oh, don't even get me started on mothers. I am seriously about to lose it. 🙂 So, yesterday we finally pulled the trigger on the crib, the mattress, all the bedding, that high-tech baby swing thing, and a bunch of other essentials. And then she calls me up just to tell me—"You guys bought way too much, you shouldn't be buying this much stuff yet, it's far too early" 🙂. It drives me absolutely insane. 😠 For crying out loud, where would I be if I actually listened to that kind of logic?! I’d end up giving birth with nothing ready, and then I'd have her and his mother staring me down while they buy everything for the baby anyway. 🙂

But there's a plus sign... 😉 From what I've gathered—and I'm no expert here—a test can give you a false negative, but a false positive just isn't really a thing. 🤷
Men who honestly believe they’re experts on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care—more so than the average woman—really get under my skin. 😠 I’ll say one thing, and he’ll just stubbornly insist on the exact opposite. A friend of mine gave birth just twenty days ago—she hasn't even really stepped foot outside the house yet—and there he is, right in front of me, lecturing her about how "gross" it'll be for me because I'll be stuck at home during my sixth month. 😲 So, naturally, I told him that's out of the question. As soon as I feel up to it, I don't see why I shouldn't go for a light stroll with the baby. But no—according to him, we have to worry about what *might* happen to the infant, whether I'm "stable," or if I actually understand how much time a woman needs to recover 🙂 : It's like this with everything. The same guy who recently argued that an umbilical cord connects from the baby's navel directly into the mother's belly button. 🙂 What else is there to say? Honestly... :2up:
Right now, my biggest irritant is actually myself. Honestly, being pregnant is wonderful—I’m feeling great, and there is nothing quite like those little kicks and stretches to remind you what's happening inside. It's pretty magical, really.
But at the same time? I am counting down the seconds until this whole phase is over and I finally have my baby in my arms. I never imagined I’d feel this specific kind of impatient. 😢 I’m being a nightmare—just constantly getting on my own nerves.
Only 85 days left. (And honestly, that feels like a shorter stretch than twelve weeks ever did. 🤣 ))
