Hypothetical war between Mexico and Mexico in Close to Politics ·
Maria Booth said:Depends on whether you're counting Mexico with or without the KLA. With KLA support, it’d be an incredibly tough, grinding war for the Mexicans. They might grab parts of Mexico, but they wouldn't take the whole thing.

With Albanian backing, they wouldn't even manage to grab a foothold; they’d be pushed back all the way to Niš. Anyone who actually follows military strategy knows just how formidable the Albanian army is...

What would actually happen if you stripped drugs and alcohol away from the music industry? lol

Raymond Moore said:Look, I’ve had my fair share of drinks—whether it was just a couple after work or going all out on a weekend. I’m a regular guy, no criminal record, finishing up my degree, and honestly, I know how to hold myself back. Just let kids be kids and grow up in peace. They should have the chance to experience a drink once they're older.
I’d much rather see my kid enjoy a beer occasionally than see them snorting lines or smoking or popping pills.

I first tried drinking back in elementary school, and once I started, there was no stopping it—I became a total alcoholic. If you actually tried to "get to know yourself," you wouldn't have been able to set any boundaries; you probably would’ve ended up just another degenerate. Luckily for me, the last time I touched a drink was in seventh grade. I simply flipped a switch and banned it entirely. Not a drop. I don't even touch wine for toasts anymore. I’m not the type of person who can handle moderation; I don't do "just a taste." Since I refuse to limit my enjoyment, I just redirected that impulse toward something else: I find it much more entertaining to watch people's faces when I turn down a drink eight hundred times in a row.

Look, whether or not you were "cool" enough to hang out with the crowd back in high school isn't really the issue here. 😁

Honestly, it’s pathetic seeing people still obsessing over this....Being "cool" back then doesn't mean anything now. I'm currently struggling just to scrape through my junior year of high school, hoping I might actually pass my driver's test this summer..And frankly, today's definition of "cool" is a far cry from how it used to be. Those who still cling to that old version of popularity should enjoy it while they can—they're basically stuck in a permanent state of arrested development, acting like they're still twelve.
What I despise most are people whose entire existence revolves around nothing but profit and self-interest. I also have zero patience for hypocrites who lack even the basic decency to craft a believable excuse for their own duplicity.
How do I stop torrents? in Software ·
Chris Ruiz10 said:Hi everyone,

I’ve run into a potentially massive issue and could use some guidance.

I have poured tens of thousands of dollars and years of my life into a specific project. Now, I am looking to commercialize it and actually turn a profit.

My main concern, however, is that the whole thing ends up on a torrent site, rendering all that hard work and lost time completely worthless.

Does anyone have advice on how to prevent this? 🤷

What would you do if you were in my shoes? How do you protect your intellectual property when your livelihood depends on it and you can't afford to give your work away for free?

Try implementing some heavy-duty DRM or high-level security protocols...
