Alright, here’s the deal. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 17".
Picked it up the other day.
I wiped the original Linux and installed Windows 10 on the very same day.
Everything was running perfectly until now.
But lately, this is happening: I log in, Windows boots up, the desktop appears, and everything looks fine. Then, about ten seconds later, the mouse and touchpad just die, followed by the fan stopping entirely. The whole thing just freezes solid, even though the power light stays on, showing the laptop is still "on."
It doesn't matter if the charger is plugged in or not. During one attempt to boot it normally, I got this error: 'Recovery: it looks like Windows didn't load correctly'.
The battery was at about 25% when this started acting up, then I charged it all the way (it’s an integrated battery, which I didn't realize they were doing these days).
I'm no tech expert, so I can only guess what's going on, but this is incredibly frustrating. I can't believe a brand-new laptop is already headed for a repair shop!
I'm positive I haven't done anything in these past day or two to cause this kind of "behavior," or have I?
As far as changes go, I've just installed some official Adobe and Microsoft programs, grabbed a couple of apps from the Microsoft Store, and played around with settings and customization (Windows 10 is new to me; I was a Windows 7 guy). I also messed with the sleep mode settings—I know systems can act weird when waking up, but I don't know if that's linked to this. Could I have picked up a virus while browsing since I haven't installed an antivirus? From what I understand, Windows 10 comes with some built-in protection by default.
I'm worried. I have a warranty, so I'm hoping they'll honor it.
Really hoping this can be fixed easily. Any advice?

I caught it last night. I’m a fan of Will Smith, so my expectations were pretty high. Plus, the genre and the core concept really grabbed me. Honestly, it didn't disappoint. In fact, 👍

I really wanted to get shredded, so I went hard on the calorie deficit. I was doing all my workouts at home, too. To be honest, the difference you see in these photos isn't exactly current—that progress happened last year. I've let things slide a bit since then, and now I'm struggling to find that spark to start grinding again.

*Dealing with some loose skin, as you can tell. It didn't totally go away in the second photo, but it's down to a level where I can live with it..

Hey there.. 🙂 Not sure if this is the right spot for this, so apologies if I'm off base. I’m just hoping someone who actually knows how this works can point me in the right direction. Basically, I want to know if there's any way to get Medicare to cover a type of aesthetic surgery. I obviously assume Medicare isn't going to cut checks just to make someone look "prettier" if there isn't a legitimate physical issue—things like crooked ears, nasty scarring, a cleft lip, or gynecomastia. But, enough rambling 😁 ..here is my actual situation. I have a massive amount of excess skin on my stomach because of huge weight loss back when I was a teenager. I'm only 20 now. No matter how much I lift, watch what I eat, or grind at the gym... that loose skin has been there for years. It’s become a serious mental burden for me. So, my question is purely hypothetical. Regarding the procedure itself, I imagine the first step would be a referral from a psychiatrist, but I highly doubt a state-run clinic would ever write a referral like that. Is there any possibility at all?

I’m honestly not sure how to categorize this one. Is it some kind of "live drama"? 😁 🤷
To be honest, I was holding out for a much more definitive ending. I kept waiting for things to actually escalate, you know? Like, I thought there would be some big payoff or a massive climax... but nothing happened.

Anyone catch this yet? I didn't see a thread for it here. I watched it a few days ago and was actually pleasantly surprised. Honestly, I was pretty skeptical about the whole "real-time, single-shot" gimmick. But it worked. It was fascinating to see how much tension you can actually pull from a setup like that, and I think Steven Knight really squeezed every bit of potential out of it.

All in all, I highly recommend it. A tight, intense little thriller. 🙂
