Alex Walker5 said:Yeah, that makes sense. It actually reminds me a bit of that Native American legend about the two wolves—the good one and the bad one—fighting inside of us, where the one you feed is the one that wins.

A long time ago, an elder Cherokee shared a fundamental truth with his grandson:
'Deep within every person, a battle rages, much like a struggle between two wolves. One wolf represents darkness: he is made of rage, envy, jealousy, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, sin, wrath, inferiority, deceit, false pride, and ego... The other wolf represents light: he embodies joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, warmth, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.

The young Native American sat in silence for a moment, letting his grandfather's words sink in before finally asking, "But which wolf wins in the end?"

With a gentle smile creasing his weathered face, the old Cherokee replied, "The one you feed..."

I mean, where there is frequency, there is energy... you know, like how electromagnetic waves and light—photons—work according to the formula E = hν, where ν represents the Planck constant. A higher frequency carries more energy, which leads me to think that positive thoughts possess high energy. On the other hand, negative thoughts might have such low energy and such long wavelengths that they essentially get swallowed up by our own brain's electrostatics. They can't even really reach other people, I guess. Unless, of course, someone gets extremely close, in which case they might be more exposed to them. I suspect that might be why good tends to outweigh evil. 😍

dustyskipper3 - hey, I'm back... 😁

Regarding the concept of thought energy—I’m aware of certain basics that most people pick up on, but I suspect Gregory Jackson could dive much deeper into the nuances of how our thoughts carry weight... he’d likely present it in a far more compelling and engaging way than I ever could, much like what you'd find through Inside Silence... 😉I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say... 🙂
Just waiting for Gregory Jackson to snap out of it after that whole mess with the duplicate posts and that massive, lost thread... 😳
Gregory Jackson, I know exactly what you’re going through—I’m sure anyone who tends to write long-winded posts feels that same itch... There have been several times when I’ve stared at a massive sledgehammer, maybe something from Craftsman, and felt a sudden, intense urge to just smash every single piece of computer hardware into stardust and walk away from this whole posting thing forever... But then, something always pulls me back. Mostly just curiosity... 😍

Yeah, dustyskipper3, you really hit the nail on the head with those thoughts on mental energy... short, sharp, and straight to the point. Just the essentials...

I truly value your words and the sheer amount of time and energy you pour into these posts just to share your lived experience with the rest of us. It’s invaluable, and I’m deeply grateful... I assume you’re well aware of the weight your contributions carry.
I understand what it means to talk about time and energy. It is the most precious thing we possess, alongside awareness. Once it's gone, it's gone... it's everything.

A few questions have been weighing on my mind lately.

First, how can one best utilize time through a Toltec lens? What would be the actual definition of time/energy in terms of its maximum utility? Just a few guiding principles—the absolute essentials every human being ought to know regarding this... Specifically, I’m curious about the characteristics of a lifestyle optimized for the rational use of time and energy, based on your teachings.

You mentioned conserving energy by listening to an inner voice... is that the core of it?

Secondly, how does one dispel or transform a sense of light, constant tension? It isn't quite stress, but more like a restlessness, an internal fidgeting... almost like an inner call toward awareness or alertness. If I calm down, I stop searching, I stop acting the way I act, and I effectively break my own path. It feels like playing a role that shouldn't be fully revealed for some reason, like a preordained fate or a soul's mission... I'm not sure how else to describe this tension. Is it even possible to rise above such a heavy feeling? Part of me thinks it isn't, and that perhaps everything is fine as it is, and I should just accept it with a sense of nonchalance.

I imagine that tensegrity exercises might help ease this, and I'm fairly certain I'll start looking into them.

I am also wondering how to distinguish a genuine feeling from a false one. For instance, when the mind says one thing and the soul says another, leaving me lost as to which is which. One insists that I want or must do something, while the other resists—whether out of laziness or some other reason. Both are so intense that I can't tell what I am truly feeling... I'm just confused.

Is the solution here to silence the mind and persist in silence, allowing thoughts and feelings to crystallize so they become easy to understand?

I am asking you because you understand energy, and feelings are nothing if not energy.
I'm interested in an energetic perspective on feelings, rather than a psychological or "scientific" one...
My main focus is on feelings—that inner voice, intuition, guidance—and how to sharpen and amplify them, as I believe there is immense power contained within them. How does one break free from the shackles... find their wings? 🙂

Please, do write back. I intend to step away from the forum for a while, but I will certainly be following along.
Thank you. 🙂

If you’re struggling to make a call, there are tensegrity exercises in the series specifically designed to sharpen your decision-making and intention.

So, yeah. Start there, but do it right this second.

Thanks! 🙂

This really hits home for me, because I've fallen into this rut in my life where everything feels heavy, and moving forward feels impossible—mostly due to indecision and a weakened power of intention, I suppose... I find myself wondering if there is a simpler way to get moving when you're stuck at a complete standstill (the gap between theory and practice is huge; I've gathered so much knowledge, but it's cost me a certain level of passivity in my actual life, and now I want to finally bring it to life)...).
How can I break this curse of passivity and just move, SIMPLY?

I need to be able to just start, RIGHT NOW...
Good grief, I have questions coming out of my ears along with the answers... 🤣

Zachary Cook2 said:I’ve been doing them for about a year now—not strictly, though. Sometimes I do them daily, sometimes just once or twice a week, depending on how I feel. At first, you won't feel a thing—it probably takes some time for your energy to actually kick in. But after a while, you start feeling this sense of calm wherever you go; it kind of strips away that fake ego mask we all wear. Then, you start to look... brighter. People will tell you that you've lost weight, even when you haven't—they just don't know what else to call it because they have no clue what's actually happening.
After practicing for a while, you start to feel a slight hum of energy when you pull it through or move through it. Just last week, I actually had a vision of how certain movements disperse energy through the egg and the directions it flows, or how the energy fills up the aura. Most importantly—and this is the best part—it perfectly redirects sexual energy, which is absolutely vital if you want to maintain consciousness during dreams.

Specific descriptions like these—theoretical knowledge turned into actual practice, the beginnings, the step-by-step progression, personal experiences, and so on—that is the LAW! 🙏 🙏 🙏
That is exactly what interests me. Turning theory into practice. Every stage of the journey... the details...

In short, Zachary Cook2, this description is perfect.

Born on the exact same day, too—funny how that works when you think about how differently people usually process things... You asked how to know if you aren't pushing your opinion too aggressively? The answer is right there in front of you: just feel your own intention behind it. Is it coming from the ego, or is it coming through the light? Be the shovel digging the hole, not just some guy holding a shovel.
Also, whatever I write—or anything anyone else writes—try to look at it with your own eyes, not just the physical ones.

Devil, Devil,... 🙂

Well, I asked if my posts come across as aggressive because I'm feeling a bit confused. Every single thing I write comes from a deep internal necessity, sometimes even inspired, and occasionally when I re-read my own words, they strike me as slightly odd—the phrasing, the assertiveness, the assumptions and so on... Since I feel like I'm writing with complete sincerity and the best intentions, without any malice or a desire to force my views on anyone—which seems pointless to me—I still find myself surprised by the negative reactions people have to what I've written... though I suspect that friction might actually be quite healthy and useful...

And then I read here that every form of "attack" is actually something beneficial...
The practice of seeking ways to conserve energy by engaging in more "attacks"...
The degree to which one suppresses the ego...
What determines the intensity or frequency of these "attacks"?
Which is preferable: more or less "attacking"?
What kind of mechanism are we looking at here?
What is the ultimate point?

Experts, please clarify this idea of "attacks" being desirable... Is it some kind of cleansing process, a way to strengthen the spirit, a test...?

You don't look arrogant; you just seem... excited? I don't know how else to put it. It's like you finally found your niche here on the forum and everything is just clicking.

It’s just a phase, though. You'll grow out of it eventually.😁

I was thinking (while flipping through magic movement) that maybe you were inspired by that whole Westwood series—all that theory from the book. The whole thing about Quote : Inside Silence / living in the NOW / awareness. Which makes the story even better—that you were inspired by actually living what you read...

Nah, I haven't actually read that book yet. Usually, I experience something firsthand and then go find it in a book later—that's always been more satisfying for me. What inspired me was just the state I found myself in, and that moment when I realized what was happening. Like, crossing that threshold where the whole narrative shifts—where the "normal" state becomes Quote : Inside Silence, and talking just happens sporadically rather than being the main event.

I mentioned somewhere that I read one of those books by Carlos Castaneda. Specifically, "the art of dreaming." But the book I wanted for my birthday—and ended up getting—is "magic movement." I haven't fully tackled "magic movement" yet; I've mostly just skimmed the chapters. It's basically a manual with photos showing you step-by-step how to practice tensegrity (magic movements), along with some interesting side notes.

Read the magic movement stuff; it's incredible for redirecting your energy.

Lucky you. 👍

Any tips on how to bridge the gap between theory and actual application more quickly? 🙄

I didn't exactly plan on jumping into this so soon—I had high hopes that the conversation would actually be productive for once—but here I am... It’s the only way to protect my own peace of mind... 😁

Gregory Jackson said:Exactly, it involves a superintelligence. And it's literal, too; there isn't really a metaphor at play here.

I guess it sounds pretty shocking if you aren't already swimming in these waters. Honestly, about 15 years ago, I felt the exact same way, though I think I was more of the "positively shocked" type, you know? It all just clicked for me, and suddenly everything that used to confuse me—or even push me away from spirituality because it seemed so contradictory and nonsensical back then—started making sense, even though I always felt this weird pull toward it anyway.

I mean, you can actually connect with it once you've done the spiritual work to grow. These connections aren't usually like having a chat, per se, but more like having a request heard, maybe for healing or something similar. You see, the energy of Christ vibrates at 8.6 Hz, and if someone can consciously lower their brain waves to that frequency, or even lower (without just falling asleep, obviously!), which happens through spiritual development, they can essentially ask for contact. Our normal, waking frequency is around 20.6 Hz, which is where the aura operates too. It’s kind of a simple principle: the spiritually stronger a person is, the more their brain emits these prayer-thoughts at a lower frequency during prayer (and I don't mean those random, low-frequency thoughts that just clutter up the Earth's aura!). The lower the frequency during a plea to this energy or to the Creator, the stronger the response tends to be. Using 8.6 Hz as a minimum baseline will probably just yield mild effects, almost like a gentle blessing for the person praying. But as you hit even lower frequencies, accessing greater powers—like asking to see an aura or gaining other abilities—becomes much more real, and eventually, it becomes automatic, where things just manifest based on our simple intention. It’s kind of like how Sai Baba could pick pears from an apple tree, you know? For him, or for the energies he's able to tap into, nothing is really impossible.

It’s not even really mysticism when you look at it; it’s more like physics, but I won't get too deep into that. Personally, I can't really ask this energy for anything right now—at best, I'm hitting maybe 10 Hz, so I mostly just "connect" by getting these mild, healing sessions from some of the less advanced energies, but honestly, it's enough for me just knowing that I'm on the right track.

I thought I’d take a moment to look into the whole business of brainwave frequencies, perhaps even touch on a bit of quantum physics—mixing some quick research with whatever I can pull from memory... it's a subject that always catches my interest. 🙂

Brain waves—beta, alpha, theta, delta—essentially dictate our state of consciousness. Alpha waves serve as our gateway to the spiritual realm. When we enter an alpha state, typically ranging from 7 to 14 Hz, we are entering a phase of true mental and physical relaxation... a state where we remain calm yet fully conscious. At exactly 8 Hz, the left and right hemispheres of the brain achieve perfect synchronization. Generally speaking, the lower the frequency of our mental state, the more relaxed and spiritually grounded we become. It is in this state of repose that we truly connect with the Creator, the soul, and the ultimate source of energy. Furthermore, it is scientifically recognized that healing processes accelerate during alpha states, as this is the level at which we become most receptive to life force and the influence of positive energy...

Quantum physics essentially tells us that everything is just energy and vibration. This field of science has uncovered the existence of the zero-point field, an endless sea of subatomic particles and photons that seem to pop into existence out of thin air only to vanish a nanosecond later... there still isn't a truly rational explanation for how or why these particles and photons flicker in and out of being like that...
Subatomic particles aren't really anything more than energy vibrating at specific frequencies, which means the only thing we can actually quantify is the "quantum"—that discrete amount of energy itself. At this level, mass and matter essentially cease to be measurable metrics, leaving us with nothing but the measurement of vibrating energy...
Stone, wood, steel, titanium—it’s all largely just empty space, isn't it? Only a tiny fraction actually consists of vibrating energy... which makes you wonder if any of this is just an illusion... 🙂
It’s nothing more than vibrating energy creating that illusion, just a trick of the light...
We are spiritual beings, denizens of a spiritual realm, merely passing through this illusory material world for a brief moment to play at being God...

It’s a shame you mentioned you won't be going into as much detail anymore—please, don't hold back on my account... There’s no need to apologize or walk on eggshells here, either; after all, rule number one of this forum is that you don't have to justify yourself to anyone... 😍 This is my absolute favorite!
Just write about whatever you know, provided you actually have the desire and the time... There are plenty of people out there who enjoy reading and writing 😁. Then, of course, there are those who don't read, don't write, don't learn, and seemingly don't even bother using their brains—it’s funny how diverse people can be. My suggestion? Just be yourself. Just write! (Write as if nobody is ever going to read it—that’s how I find my flow)😁 I’ll handle the rest.

The fourth group... Quote: Inside Silence

Don Juan once remarked that achieving a state of inner silence was the ultimate goal for the ancient shamans of Mexico... He described it as a natural state of perception where thoughts simply cease, allowing all human faculties to operate at a level of consciousness that bypasses our usual cognitive processes...

Inner silence has always been linked to darkness, perhaps because when a person's perception is stripped of its usual companion—that constant internal monologue—it feels like falling into some kind of dark void... Don Juan suggested that while the body continues to function normally, attention becomes significantly sharper. Decisions happen instantaneously, emerging from a distinct kind of knowledge that requires no verbalization of thought...

According to Don Juan... When a person's perception operates within a state of true inner silence, one can reach levels that are simply beyond description... Some of those levels of perception exist in entirely different realms, bearing no resemblance whatsoever to the worlds we access through the art of dreaming. They are states that defy description, impossible to capture using the linear paradigms that our ordinary perception typically relies on to make sense of the universe...

Quote: Inside Silence, according to what Don Juan understood, is the fundamental matrix for taking a giant leap in evolution... Silent knowledge—it’s that specific state of consciousness where understanding becomes instantaneous and automatic. At that level, knowledge isn't some byproduct of cerebral processing, nor is it reached through logical induction, deduction, or those tired generalizations we make based on superficial similarities and differences... On the level of Quote: Inside Silence, nothing exists... a priori...There isn’t really anything that exists to form a collection of insights, because everything is just... one thing... nowComplex data can be grasped without any cognitive processing at all...

Don Juan believed that silent knowledge was gifted to people from the very beginning, though they never truly possessed it... This kind of hidden endowment carries far more weight than anything the modern person experiences, where our entire collection of insights is merely the byproduct of mechanical learning. The wizard’s axiom remains that even though we have lost our way, the path leading back to that silent knowledge stays open through nothing more than inner stillness...

Don Juan Matus stood firm on the principles of his lineage... Achieving Quote: Inside Silence requires constant, unwavering discipline. It’s about gathering it, bit by bit, second by second... essentially forcing ourselves into stillness, if only for a few moments at a time. He maintained that all sorcerers understand the method, and that if we remain persistent, that persistence eventually overrides our ingrained habits, allowing us to reach a threshold of accumulated seconds or minutes—though that specific threshold varies from one person to the next... If someone’s threshold for inner silence sits at ten minutes, then once they actually hit that mark, the stillness just begins to happen on its own...

He warned me beforehand that there was no way to calculate my threshold; the only way to find it was through direct experience. And that is exactly how it played out. Following the instructions of Don Juan, I practiced disciplined silence with relentless consistency, until one day, while walking past UCLA in Westwood, I finally hit that mysterious threshold. I knew it had happened because, for a fleeting moment, I experienced precisely what Don Juan had described in such vivid detail. He called it the stopping of the world. For a split second, reality ceased to be what it appeared to be, and I became aware, for the very first time, of seeing energy flowing through the universe. I had to sit down on some stairs. Intellectually, I knew I was sitting on brick steps, but that was merely a memory... at the level of actual experience, in that moment, I was sitting on pure energy. I was energy, and everything around me was energy too. My interpretation system had simply shut down...

Once I finally caught a glimpse of energy directly, it triggered a realization that turned into a sort of daily dread... a truth that no one could have articulated quite like Don Juan. It wasn't just about the sight itself; I realized that while I was witnessing energy flowing through the entire universe of my life, I had been completely oblivious to it. The novelty wasn't the vision of energy moving through the cosmos... the real shock came from the question that forced me back into the mundane world. I found myself wondering what on earth had kept me from realizing that I was seeing the flow of energy all along...

(…)

Every single time we spoke, he would reiterate how unsettling the effects of inner silence can be, suggesting that this very restlessness is the only thing standing in the way of the kind of pragmatism born from a body that is submissive, agile, and strong. He insisted that for sorcerers, the body is the only true entity they comprehend, leaving no room for any distinction between the body and the mind...

"The five-area sequence—the Westwood sequence:

In the realm of tensegrity, one of the most vital configurations is known as the five-area sequence. It earned the nickname the Westwood sequence because it was first introduced publicly at Pauley Pavilion at the University of California, Los Angeles, located in the Westwood neighborhood. This sequence was designed as an attempt to integrate what Don Juan Matus referred to as the five areas of the shamans from ancient Mexico. Everything those shamans practiced revolved around these five domains: first, magical movements; second, the energetic center within the human body known as the center for decision; third, recapitulation—the tools used to expand the reach of human consciousness; fourth, the art of dreaming—the ability to break down the parameters of normal perception; and fifth, Quote: Inside Silence—the states of perception from which sorcerers would move into all other perceptual endeavors. The order of these areas was determined by how those shamans perceived the world around them.

According to the teachings of Don Juan, one of the most stunning discoveries made by those shamans was the existence of a binding force that ties energy fields together into specific, functional units. The sorcerers who discovered it described it as a vibration, or a vibrating state, that permeates and binds groups of energy fields together.

Regarding the arrangement of these five areas utilized by the shamans of ancient Mexico, magical movements serve as the vibrating state they spoke of... When those sorcerers constructed that shamanic five-area sequence, they were essentially copying the energetic patterns revealed to them while they were able to perceive energy flowing through the universe. The binding agent was the magical movement. The magical movement acted as the unit that permeates the other four units, aligning them into a single, functional whole.

The Westwood sequence, following the pattern of the shamans of ancient Mexico, is therefore divided into four groups, organized by importance as perceived by the sorcerers who shaped them: first—the center for decision, second—recapitulation, third—the art of dreaming, and fourth—Quote: Inside Silence.

It all comes down to consciousness. I’ve come to realize that mental stillness—that quietude where the internal dialogue finally ceases—is essentially what it means to be conscious in the present moment. Silencing those thoughts is the fundamental prerequisite for stepping into NOW. And honestly, grasping this... it’s been more rewarding to me than anything else in this world... 🙏 Now it’s just a matter of turning all that knowledge into actual practice... That’s where the real artistry lies—it’s easy enough to talk about it or dwell on the theory... It seems like such a waste, all the wisdom in the world if it never meets real-world application, doesn't it...

While flipping through Quote: Inside Silence, I thought perhaps you were inspired by the section from the Westwood series—those theories found within the book. The magic of inner silence, living in the now, and true awareness. It makes the story even more compelling if you were actually living out what you read...

I mentioned once that I had read a book by Carlos Castaneda. Specifically, "the art of dreaming." The book I actually wanted for my birthday, and eventually received, was "magical movement." I haven't fully immersed myself in "magical movement" yet; I’ve mostly just skimmed through the chapters. It functions quite a bit like a manual, filled with photos that provide a step-by-step guide for practicing tensegrity (the magical movement), along with various interesting insights...

To save a bit of energy—essentially by transcribing, which is much easier on my energetic system—I'll briefly outline the core concepts...

As Joseph Cook7 previously noted, 🙂 there are six tensegrity sequences:
-The sequence for preparing intention
-The sequence for immersion
-The five-area sequence (the Westwood series)
-Separating the left body from the right body
-The masculinity sequence
-The sequence of means used in conjunction with a magical movement
Each of these sequences meets the criteria for maximum efficiency and serves as a replica of how the longer sequences of magical movement were originally utilized...
It is important to recognize here that these movement sequences weren't simply made up; they are the result of observing unconscious movements the body performs during states of heightened awareness, movements that resulted in a profound improvement in physical and mental states. Initially, the Toltec warriors attributed this improvement to the elevated state of consciousness itself, but they later discovered it was actually caused by those inexplicable, unconscious bodily movements, which they observed and subsequently began to perform consciously in these sequences...

Joseph Cook7 said:Well, what you're doing definitely isn't "controlled madness"—that technique is damn complicated, and let's be real, even I haven't mastered it yet. It's not about being uninterested or just acting like a moron because we all have those impulses sometimes. It's actually achieving a total detachment from this world while still staying active within it... basically, having zero internal drives or expectations regarding whatever you're doing. You just try to do your absolute best at a task, and when it's done, you walk away without giving a single damn about the results.
I've tried to give you a rough framework for what "controlled madness" looks like, but you can't really explain it—it's more of an internal shift in how you view the entire world.

Aha. Great. I'm glad to hear it's a specific technique, because it sounded a bit absurd, like mere foolishness. 😍 I feel a strange sense of relief...

I have quite a few questions...

Does this mean a complete—as maximal as possible, if I may say so—merging with what is, characterized by zero expectations and a mind that is entirely silenced? Living in the here and now. Without thought.
You mention this technique (mental silence) is incredibly complex, yet simultaneously, it seems to be the simplest thing imaginable... difficult, but exceptionally straightforward.
In this context, is inner silence the tool used to reach controlled madness, which would serve as the ultimate goal? Something like: using the silence of the mind to step-by-step reach a final, absolute stillness. Or am I off base? 🤔
Please, provide some details. 🙂

How long does one spend mastering this technique, and is it even possible to truly master it within a single lifetime? What is the primary hurdle or difficulty? How can one make the process as smooth as possible? Is mastery reserved only for the "chosen few"—those possessing specific traits like persistence, optimism, composure, or a slower pace of life? If so, how does one reshape their character to make the path easier?

There is a vast difference between talking about this technique and actually mastering it... it sounds like a personal rebirth and the ultimate attainment of freedom.
From what I gather, this is the life goal or mission of every human being, which means it is worth every ounce of effort and every single step; it certainly isn't achieved by accident, let alone overnight. One has to conquer their own demons.
Is this about overcoming duality in some way, rising above the shackles of the material world, and finding a balance between the spiritual and physical realms?
Is it a complete and fundamental overhaul of one's mental framework and perception?
The ultimate correctness and Truth, in the sense of living out one's own authenticity?

Am I closer to understanding controlled madness now?

Joseph Cook7 said:Look, we can't exactly stop being human and part of a social circle called society... that much is obvious. In the Toltec way, there aren't any cookie-cutter templates or recipes I can just dictate to you for you to memorize. It's more about adopting new perspectives on the world that tear down the stereotypes and learned patterns this whole society is built on. Basically, they break the stereotype that this material world is fixed and unchangeable... that's their starting point and how they prove their point. The second thing is how they interact with the world and the people around them—it's a specific approach called controlled madness . The term comes from the idea that human behavior is inherently crazy, so they use controlled madness as a defense mechanism. It means the warrior adapts to society instead of standing apart from it—they work, they struggle, they grind just like everyone else—but they're basically just playing along. Underneath that mask, they're as cool as ice and totally detached from all the human drama. That's about it for now...

Sometimes it happens spontaneously, and other times I lean into being a complete idiot on purpose... just pure, unadulterated stupidity... 😛 I try to conserve my energy, mostly because I have this tendency to give too much of myself away... I find myself getting sucked into someone else's movie, desperate to truly understand... 🙄It’s like some kind of energy vampire latches onto me and just won't let go, staring me down with this relentless, unblinking intensity... and the more they try to drain me, the harder it becomes to break free... 😠

I mean, I’ve definitely mastered the art of playing the fool for this society... It happens rarely and usually only when the mood strikes me... levels... The energies involved—that sense of being present, the relaxation in the moment, the level of composure... it all starts out naturally, but over time it becomes more frequent and intentional, growing proportionally... It seems like things are starting to pick up... If this really is all about energies... then I suppose I’m planning on becoming a complete idiot at record speed... 🤣
There's also this sense that all this acting feels somewhat hollow, a kind of surface-level absurdity regarding human existence that pales in comparison to my own experience of actual meaning...

Joseph Cook7, would you say that spontaneously playing along with society or just letting things slide counts as controlled madness, or does it actually require a certain level of skill developed through intense self-work? It feels like a bit of a silly question, since you really only reach that point after doing the work... energy...But still, I find myself curious about what an expert has to say on the matter...

Is it actually possible to experience a sense of purpose and the joy of being during the process of transformation—to feel comfortable in one's own skin and in the company of others—or is the defining characteristic truly this coldness, which strikes me as nothing more than a profound sense of emptiness and the sheer meaninglessness of existence... 😢

The concept of controlled madness feels absolutely brilliant... 🙏
Zachary Cook2 said:Man, where have you been hiding? 😁 Seriously though, it's nice when someone actually gets it, but from what I can see, you still have a lot to learn about this stuff... 😉 Dreams are just as real as what we're doing right now; the only real difference is that in dreams, things are much more fluid and relaxed, so we can shape energy however we want. Here, everything is already set in stone—we don't have that kind of control.

Up until now, I’ve mostly been coasting along at the bottom—pure leisure.
Which meant I was eventually forced to actually study. 🙂
And—voila—here I am (and now 😁).

I definitely still have more to learn...

First and foremost, I need hands-on practice...

Zachary Cook2 said:Wow, that’s a huge deal... it’s wonderful, especially if you’re conscious of it right now in this moment, because then you already have a real head start...

I'm learning, I'm learning...

For me, the hardest part is shedding everyone else's expectations. For as long as I can remember, there’s always been some external force expecting something from me—apparently because I’m supposedly "bursting with potential"—and it feels like this crushing weight. I find myself constantly trying to dodge the urge to justify or explain my life choices and my way of thinking to anyone who asks. 😠 Honestly, trying to explain it to others is just... mission impossible. How do you actually let go of that need to please and just exist as yourself? Is there anything more practical than just trying to force the mind into silence through sheer willpower? From what I can tell, that path is pretty damn rocky...

Sometimes I feel caught in a web, lost in a labyrinth, mostly because I'm not even sure what I want myself—all I get are endless suggestions, directions, criticisms, and a mountain of expectations (well-meaning ones, of course 😁) that only serve to pull me further away from my own center. The people in my life are wonderful, truly, but how do you remain honest with yourself and them without being brutal? How do you break that intrusive connection to everyone else? Is there a version of this that doesn't hurt so much?

I keep asking questions, and the answer I get from deep within is that peace of mind is the foundation and the prerequisite for everything else (as you said, Joseph Cook7), making it perhaps the most concrete move one can ever make...
