Terry Wells3 said:I watched the trailer. The plot looks like your run-of-the-mill American quasi-comedy. Except, of course, the entire cast is Asian instead of those awful white people, so now the movie is patting itself on the back. ☕ Pure PC propaganda. Correct me if I'm wrong.
You might actually have a point there—we'll just have to wait and see how it lands when it hits theaters here.
The movie based on that same-titled book is out in theaters right now—and honestly, it’s been a massive hit with both critics and audiences alike! It’s absolutely crushing it at the box office, too, and they officially confirmed yesterday that a sequel is already in the works They shot the whole thing in Washington, D.C. and Singapore, with filming spanning about two months.
I don't think the movie has made its way to Europe just yet, though I couldn't say for certain 🤷
I somehow managed to get it working, and the black screen isn't there anymore—so that’s a win! I'm thinking the issue might have actually been with the outlet, though the display still looks a bit off; one half of the screen is noticeably darker than the other, almost like it's all blurry or out of focus
Last night, my screen suddenly went pitch black while the computer was still running perfectly fine—I actually knew it was active because I could still hear all the game audio playing in the background.
I tried checking if my keyboard was still responding by hitting the Caps Lock key, and everything seemed to be working normally, yet the screen stayed totally dark. By this morning, I had to manually press the power button on the monitor about three or four times before it finally kicked in, and now it’s working... mostly. I can see my entire desktop and play games without an issue, except for one thing: the screen is noticeably dimmer. Even with the brightness cranked up to 100%, the backlight just feels much darker than it should be.
The kicker is that every single time I shut down my PC, the same thing happens—the screen goes black, and I have to repeatedly toggle the monitor's power just to get the desktop to show up again.
Has anyone else dealt with something like this, or does anyone have any ideas? I’m definitely not a tech expert, so I’m honestly at a loss here. Also, if anyone knows how to fix that brightness issue, please let me know—it's incredibly dim and I really can't get used to it.
Magical 😍 That falsetto is honestly incredible—it's such a shame she isn't leaning into it more 🙂 The lyrics are top-notch and the melody is great, too. Personally, I actually found the verses a bit stronger than the chorus, but I really have nothing against it... overall, it's a solid track for me! 9/10
The lyrics on this one are actually pretty solid—really hits the mark—but honestly, I found myself getting a little bored halfway through. It’s definitely worth a listen if you're looking for something mellow, but I wouldn't exactly put it on repeat. Personally? I'd probably skip it most times. :/ 6/10
Donna Castillo38 said:9. Where Are You Now - such a gorgeous ballad, but honestly, it was perfect until those backup vocals kicked in—that little choir thing—and just ruined the vibe. Whoever decided to add that needs to be locked in a basement for a week without any food or water . I’m dropping my score slightly because of that: 9/10
🤣🤣
Man, I'm right there with you—those backup vocals totally missed the mark for me too.
It’s pretty much the same vibe as One Kiss—a decent enough pop track, but honestly? It feels like total filler on the album. You can definitely give it a listen if you're in the mood, but I'd probably skip it most of the time. 6/10
Honestly, this is hands down the best ballad on the whole album—it definitely beats 🙂 Dont for me. I actually think she should have filmed a music video for this one. I seriously got chills when she really opened up her voice during 🙂 her Belt 10/10
It’s a decent little pop track—pretty catchy, though I have to agree with what someone else mentioned about it being a bit cheesy. To me, the melody feels a little thin, but it's definitely listenable. That said, just like silverdrifter24 pointed out, it doesn't really seem to fit the vibe of the rest of the album. 6/10
Just another iconic song from her catalog—honestly, this one hits home for me, bringing back all those 2011 -2014 : cry music video vocalist 🙂 vibes. The 😍 music video is great, and I have to say, the vocals are absolutely top-tier. I really can't find a single thing to complain about with this track; it’s an immediate autobiographical 10/10 for me, right up there with Stronger.
As soon as I heard this, I got hit with a massive wave of 90s pop nostalgia—it really takes me back! Personally, I actually find the chorus to be the weakest part of the song. I'm much more into the verses; they seem to complement the melody in a way that feels more complete. Still, it’s a solid bubblegum track. Though, seriously, why did they have to include that spoken word segment at the end? What were they even thinking with those dialogues back then?? 7/10
don't let me be The Last to know - Beautiful letter
Every time I listen to this song, I can't help but think about how incredibly hot she looked in that music video—and she was only 18 at the time! 🙂 angel otherwise 😍 It’s a really sweet ballad; honestly, the instrumental might not be quite my favorite style, but I have zero complaints about anything else. That chorus is genuinely amazing. 👍 8/10
Whenever I listen to this, I can’t help but flash back to that iconic VMA moment from 2000—you know, when she mashed this track up with "Oops! I Did It Again." It was such a huge moment. Honestly, it's a decent enough cover by the USA artist, though I have to say, nothing beats the original. It’s definitely worth a spin if you're in the mood, but it’s also totally fine to skip if you aren't feeling it. I must admit, I haven't sat through the whole original version very many times, but to me, this version feels way more repetitive than it actually is? 🤷 5/10
I honestly love watching the performance of this song from the Oops tour—it’s such a vibe 😍 The track itself is pretty solid, just pure bubblegum pop. I noticed that back in the day, at least with these three songs, she always loved to belt out those high notes at the end. It's a really decent pop tune, though if I were producing it, I’d probably cut out those girly lyrical bits at the finish. 7/10
Personally, I think this is way better than Oops—it’s easily one of her best songs, period. Her vocals are just so powerful here, the lyrics actually have some substance, and the music video is miles ahead. For me, the absolute highlight has to be that bridge. That final chorus 🙏 🙏 👍 is an autobiographical 10/10
I honestly got chills from the very first beat—it’s such an iconic Song, even sixteen years later. They went for that whole Baby One More Time vibe and they absolutely nailed it 👍 Her Voice 🙂 9/10
🙂 🙂 is the absolute perfect way to close out this album 🙂 Destroy me queen !! 10/10 I have to admit, though—this whole record is genuinely incredible. It’s such a massive step up from Baby, where it felt like only the singles were actually worth listening to; even on Oops, the ballads were much better than what we got before.
