Not him, not Arason, Xepkin, Gorpishin, Lindgren, Pogorelov, Peterso, Kasper Nielsen, Lars Jorgensen, or Johnny Jensen. None of those guys who specialized in just smashing through and diving into the "meat" are Mozart. It’s almost like people think these players were playing defense in some classy, gentlemanly way, relying purely on positioning and reading the game to stop opponents—especially against that aggressive 5-1 setup the French used with Karabatic, while Dinart and B. Gille were waiting right behind him.
Sure, certain players will go down in history as some of the best defenders ever, but I wasn't really getting into those comparisons... I just find it hilarious when people label Musa as some kind of butcher, while completely ignoring the long list of guys who did all the dirty work for their teams whenever medals were actually on the line.

And I honestly can't help but notice how much Accambray is being coddled again. It’s like he’s some weird hybrid of Tučkin, Dušebajev, Andersson, Richardson, and LeBron James all rolled into one. 😕
I won't even bring up Ivano Balić because, well, he didn't have the protection this guy gets.
Jonathan Barnes5 said:It’s not really a question of whether Goluza is talking during timeouts—he was doing the exact same thing yesterday too. The real issue is that Goluza keeps trying to funnel all the screens and plays toward the French defense, and he just can't seem to grasp where the gaps are, like how to play off Domagoj Duvnjak or actually exploit those openings. Honestly, Onesta handles that stuff way better.
I mean, I don't think there's an issue with Vori playing at Pivot either. Even Wislander used to run that setup (though, granted, that's how he started his career), but you have to consider if that's actually the move if you want to break down the French defense... not to mention the way they keep leaking points on the line through the second player. That’s exactly what those French wingers were doing. Goluza just doesn't seem to get when to make a tactical adjustment; once we hit a wall, his ability to adapt is basically zero.

Just thought we could all take a little trip down memory lane here.
I mean, props to Gojun, I guess, but he just doesn't have that same tactical brain that Dominiković had to pull off something like this.
We’ve basically become addicts when it comes to fast breaks and semi-fast breaks, and honestly, it’s not looking good. In the first half, while we were running the break, the team actually functioned, but once the second half hit? It was maybe one or two transitions and then suddenly, the team just... vanished. That's the reality of it, and we have to face up to it: we're essentially a limited, mindless squad of six playing against seven, totally dependent on whether our perimeter guys happen to have a decent shooting day. We can't even convert an easy 6-on-5. Once the Frenchmen shut down that transition game in the second half, we were pretty much done for.
But saying France played great offensively? Yeah, that's total nonsense. They went through massive stretches where they couldn't find the back of the net either; it's just that we didn't have the sense to capitalize on their mistakes. That penalty shot by Čupić was the nail in the coffin. I mean, you just can't go shooting it right through the legs of Metuzalem Omeyer when it's 23 to 21.
Jonathan Barnes5 said:Jerko Matulic... someone mentioned Slišković... honestly, the kid played alright, but I guess there’s going to be issues since he left for Celje.. Mandalinic is technically just raw, too. Plus, we have zero depth at center back. It’s not great, especially since he’s mostly there for defense.. Zet is a total disaster.. Bičanić is basically just a stopgap, too. The conclusion is pretty obvious.. let Gobac hang himself, we want the God of handball.

Jesse Ortiz71 said:That political figure is basically the guy who saw the train wreck coming before anyone else. He’s the one most responsible for helping that human disaster known as Ivo Sanders climb to power, but somehow nobody can hold him accountable because he was actually the first one to realize exactly what kind of shady, questionable character Sanders really was. After the old regime collapsed, he became the very first politician to face these politically motivated legal persecutions in what’s supposed to be a democratic nation—persecution so intense it practically forced him into exile. His whole pitch for a decentralized government is honestly the only proposal on the political stage that actually makes sense. Everyone claims to agree with it, but let’s be real: those power-hungry types are like junkies; they can't even fathom giving up central control. Look, this political figure isn't perfect—he’s got his flaws, sure—but while everyone else was sleepwalking through the chaos, he saw the storm brewing. And well, we’re all living through the fallout now.
Now, Donald Trump is a total Renaissance man. We're talking about a wildly successful entrepreneur who took over the mayor's office in the second-largest city in the country. He basically lived out the American Dream right there in Miami. For the longest time in that suffocating environment, people from his background could only dream of landing a decent gig at the local sanitation department. He’s just a straightforward, no-nonsense guy in these incredibly complicated times, and honestly, maybe that’s exactly what this country needs right now.
And then there's Eric Adams. What can I even say about that guy without sounding pathetic? Honestly, it’s probably best to just let the people who actually know him speak—you know, people like Joe Biden, who seems to think Eric Adams is the ultimate solution for Washington, D.C. But hey, if something works for D.C., it should work for the rest of America, right? I mean, if you can successfully run our capital for years to satisfy your political party, its members, and whatever citizens you manage to appease, you surely have what it takes to run the whole damn country.
I’m not trying to tell anyone how to vote here. Personally, I wouldn't cast a ballot for any of these three, whether they run together in a coalition or go solo, because none of them align with my actual political beliefs. But for everyone else out there who’s feeling indecisive or wavering, just ask yourselves one thing: is there actually any difference between this trio and a coalition of Kamala Harris, that political figure, Kamala Harris, and that political leader? Or is it just another version of a Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, and that political figure (or maybe that business tycoon) alliance?

Though he does make sure to blow up the players' phones with texts constantly...
Henry Rodriguez5 said:The absolute worst part is how, for instance, yesterday the Cop actually got going and netted two goals, only for Lin to pull him out and leave him on the bench for the rest of the game. What kind of message is that?
