Regarding the TSI, my method is much more old-school—I just transcribe it by hand with a pen. 😂 😂 😂 I'm usually finished in under five minutes... I don't use electronic forms either... nor do I particularly want to, as a small act of protest. It feels somewhat absurd that they charge a fee for this type of submission when, in reality, we are simply making their lives easier and reducing their need for staff...
Honestly, you should be ashamed—joining in with everyone else like that. It’s genuinely rude and low. Since when did we give them the right to cut down on jobs (and by "jobs," let's be real, I mean well-paid, secure bureaucracy living in fancy government buildings)? It’s unforgivable, really. Anyone pushing for all this "e-government" stuff should be called out. In the end, even public transit suffers because fewer people are actually visiting local agencies like the LAPD or the IRS. Personally, I think we should scrap all this digital nonsense entirely. Or better yet, maybe we should just get rid of the IRS altogether. That kind of heavy-handed oversight is something you only see in repressive, dictatorial regimes—places that feel the need to have a "Big Brother" watching every penny. That's not how things work in civilized societies, where an entrepreneur and a bank can deal directly without some middleman hovering over them. If I read this correctly—and I had to rub my eyes twice to make sure—the IRS is now monitoring the sale of diesel fuel?!?!? At this rate, the next logical step will be the government regulating sheep farming (black, green, or orange sheep) and counting how many squids are caught per square inch of ocean.
I was actually wondering about this after my last post—what exactly do grandkids inherit from their grandparents, regardless of gender? Honestly, it’s pretty straightforward: money, real estate, and stuff like that.
amberbadger17 said:Dubravka, congrats! As for the eye color thing... my son is turning 3 soon, and his eyes have actually started darkening lately—shifting from blue to brown. Well, hey, at least he’ll get something from his mom! 😉
You really hit on the toughest question out there—brains versus beauty?!? Give my best to your little one!
mellowfox56 said:She’s got this thick black hair, cute little dimples, and bright blue eyes. I really hope she keeps those blue eyes (like her dad and grandpa), since they usually change color as you get older.🙂
Oh man, grandma life is something else!!! Huge congratulations—you are truly a seasoned pro at this point. I’m a little late to the party here, but I remember being totally floored when I saw my second grandkid on one of those color ultrasounds—it looked just like a photo! Though, it was really just the head, so I wasn't quite sure about... well, everything else. But hey, girls definitely run the show...
Anyway, looks and eye color are one thing—most babies start out looking pretty much the same—but honestly, I just hope she turns out as smart and kind-hearted as her grandma.
ruggedcyclist74 said:@Dubo, for heaven's sake, you copy-paste from ledger entries and tax forms, not from an internet forum (just look at the accounting software thread, post #1907).... 😲 😲😲
You know, I really can't find a way to make the same joke funny twice. 😂😂😂😂
From now on, I’m calling you Copy-Paste Dubo. 😂😂😂
Does anyone have an emoji for that kind of hysterical, cackling laughter?? I feel like I need one right about now...
In any case, copy-pasting works fine for me on the TSI system—I just open both windows and migrate last year's data, which seems okay? You can't really reuse old files since there’s always a new version coming out. But honestly, I have no clue how to pull data from the Syn statistics into an Excel form. I'll look into it, though! Send me a DM letting me know how to transfer those stats, because I'm genuinely stumped here.
Don't forget, I'm just running the microSyn version—I can't exactly go throwing money away on every single module... which means NO electronic forms for me.
Alright, I guess it’s my turn to brag a little too!! You guys have no idea how much work goes into processing all this data.
So, I went through the whole process—everything went smoothly, simply, and accurately—until I started transferring everything into the official form. Naturally, I copied and pasted the old data first, saved everything perfectly, printed out the main report, and sent it off. Then, yesterday afternoon, it hit me like a ton of bricks—I realized I didn't actually transcribe the first page, just the second one! Please, ladies (and gentlemen), spare me the comments—I'm probably older than most of you here. Dubravka can chime in if she wants, though, since she’s always been pretty understanding about these things.
Of course, the first two sections on the main page are totally blank. I mean, I should have caught that myself, and honestly, the lady at the bank should have noticed and asked something, but no—we were all a bit dazed by everything happening yesterday morning, and now, predictably, I have to go in and fix it... A massive pile of incorrect data, and for what? Seriously, nobody needs this!
Henry Edwards33 said:Man, I highly doubt we’re going to get treated with kid gloves here. 😍
I’m not holding my breath. 😛
And you better keep doubting! I’ll just quote this old saying—you know, the one about the old hen and the soup, or that other one about the rooster (let's call him a singer, just so the ladies don't feel insulted!!), but I won't say it—mostly because I'm trying to be a gentleman here!
mellowfox56 said:So, Jessica Grant56, am I really the only guy left hanging out with all these ladies? Where did everyone go, Dante, Vlad... Hey, did you notice Nat popped up too? It’s like the old crew is back together, plus some new faces. Honestly, it makes me so happy to see this. I was looking back through some of your old posts—man, when do you actually sleep? Do you even sleep at all? You're like a little machine that never shuts off.Let's grab a coffee down by the pier if it isn't freezing where you are.☕
Well, they say old dogs can't learn new tricks—or maybe they just don't bite as hard anymore... though every once in a while, they still snap! Anyway, Vlad is swamped with work, poor guy. Drop us a line when you can.
My actual "secret" side hustle—and I mean real secret, since everything is officially under the company umbrella—is something else entirely. Honestly, you can't make a living off retail; you're basically just treading water. But if you have expertise in mechanical engineering, electronics, or IT, you can actually sell those skills for five or six times what retail pays. I only keep the shop running so a few family members have a steady paycheck, and even then, it's mostly because the rent is already paid regardless. Since a lot of things in the service industry—hotels, parking garages, shopping malls, etc.—happen overnight, my workday usually starts when everyone else is sleeping. And hey, you can definitely charge a premium for that!
Here’s the reality of what I’ve learned: you can sell your brainpower, but selling physical goods is a gamble. Unless you hit something essential—like pharmaceuticals or eyewear—it’s tough. People always need medicine, and people always need glasses (even if they overpay for designer frames), so those sectors stay steady. Everything else? It's either breaking even or bleeding money. Every day, some new entrepreneur pops up trying their luck, only to vanish shortly after... there are more empty storefronts in my downtown area than I care to count. We're sinking, sinking, sinking—and if the bottom of the ocean is somewhere around 36,000 feet, then I guess we've still got plenty of room to fall. I really feel for the younger generations coming up behind us; it's an uphill battle.
mellowfox56 said:Hey person, just wanted to let you all know I'll be hanging around until Sunday, but after that, I'm going to be off the grid for a bit. I'll definitely check back in once I'm out of the hospital. peace🙂☕🙂
I truly hope everything turns out great for you—really, from the bottom of my heart. Though, I suppose there isn't much advice I can give, especially since you were always the one here helping everyone else figure things out.
Wishing you the absolute best—please reach out when you have some good news!
mellowfox56 said:No, seriously, Lili actually means it, I know her style. I mean, she can be a bit of a tough moderator (poor Dubo, he’s basically one step away from a red card, haha) Just kidding! Honestly, this coffee is amazing—at least for a "forum newbie" like me, I definitely need this kind of vibe right now. If my buddy Dubo keeps talking like that, I’m actually going to start believing him. Oh my gosh, you guys have no idea how much your welcome warmed my heart. It’s like... imagine you’re starving, just famished, and you run into a friend who says, "Hey, come over, my mom made an incredible feast."😛 We're talking layers of ham and cheese, hot soup, slow-roasted pork chops with potatoes, any salad you want, and then finishing off with chocolate lava cakes... yum. Now, I shouldn't even talk about stuff like that, but I live for good food. I'm a total foodie through and through, even if I don't look it.😂 And hey, Dubo, I might have to give you a new nickname—D.D.—but I won't tell you what it stands for unless we talk privately (or via a couple of emails). Though, if you want, I could spill the tea to the whole group here, sort of like that old "grandma" joke. I think I'll hang out with you all over virtual coffee for a bit while I browse through everything. I want to get a feel for the history here and figure out where to jump in without stepping on any toes—I really don't need any drama. Anyway, I'm going to pop into one thread for a second, but I won't stay long. Sending big hugs to everyone! I'm happy to be here. Wish me luck for tomorrow and Wednesday—I've got a doctor's appointment.🙂 Peace out!
Hope the appointment goes smoothly and everything turns out okay.
And hey, don't call me an old timer just yet—I'm also a proud grandpa, though I guess you might be a few steps ahead of me in the "senior" department... But my daughter is working hard on keeping me young so I can catch up!
Hey there, ladies!! Honestly, I think we’re actually holding our own pretty well—we definitely need more opportunities carved out for us, though. This younger generation? They're a whole different story. They can't handle the rain, they can't handle the drought, they hate the CO2 levels, they complain about gas prices being too high (which, ironically, means less CO2), and now they're making issues with Synapse... wait, let me rephrase that, that's not quite what they said...
Easy there, everyone—let’s not get ahead of ourselves. If we go too hard on the praise all at once, we might actually break the spell! It’s a woman, after all—you have to handle her with a bit more frequency and a lot more moderation. That way, she stays sweet like a kitten... though I know full well she can turn into a tiger when she wants to.
On another note, I have a quick suggestion: why not specify which letter you're talking about?? Every single question, every little idea, or even just a passing doubt—those are the real gems that spark actual discussions, where people debate and truly learn from one another. If we can all take something away from those moments, then we've really done something worthwhile!
We’ve definitely had our fair share of disagreements—just the two of us—but Lili, you're honestly one of those people I can't even stay mad at. And when I actually take your advice? We make a pretty great team! You have this way of calling things out while still being respectful enough to send a private message, which makes for such a healthy, honest dynamic. Thanks for that.
Michael Diaz4 said:Everything makes sense, though it really wouldn't hurt to go see a doctor. ...
Thanks for the advice—I know, trust me, I know. And of course, I’m telling everyone else the exact same thing. But everything feels like it can wait until tomorrow—but then years just slip by. It’s not getting any better, or at least it doesn't feel like it, so... Plus, they tend to scare you a bit with how painful the exams can be, so... anyway, I found out you can actually do it under anesthesia, as long as you bring a good attitude and everything should be fine. Once I finally made up my mind, the first available appointment was June 15th. And yeah, you can tell there's a crowd—people are definitely showing up for these checkups. Now I'm just waiting. We're all just waiting. Something...
Michael Diaz4 said:..., though honestly, it’s probably safer just to go get a checkup because of other potential red flags.
If you look back at some of my old posts—and don't get me wrong, I'm not disputing your conclusions, my doctor actually told me all those same things—I know I tend to come up with some pretty wild ideas sometimes... you can ask me if I've lost it... but: I've been trying to record myself "from behind"—you know, when they head outside. Is that a problem? Not because I care about getting a good photo, far from it, but there's a reason: I need to MONITOR what's happening!! If my footage from three years ago compared to the most recent one shows NO INCREASE, and everyone is still within the normal range, then I feel a little more at ease—it won't spike. (Not that it'll improve, either.) It just gives me a glimmer of hope that things will stay steady moving forward, even though—again, I'm repeating myself here—everything you said is spot on and the danger is always lurking. Still, I managed to "fix" them enough so they aren't bursting or causing too much trouble, so... yeah, just taking it day by day.
And for the record, homeopathy isn't "hemopathy"... It's funny how many people used to misspell that! At least it seems to be happening less often now.
One of the biggest headaches in medicine is this constant obsession with "discovering new treatments" and "new" drugs. When you've been dealing with this mess for over 25 years—when you've read enough literature to actually understand what we're fighting against and how—then jokes about "deep-sea backgrounds" just aren't funny. This forum shouldn't be a place for jokes anyway, because the issue is serious. We even had that case with a certain quack doctor from Canada advertising some weird medications made in... well, who knows which garage. These fake doctors just pop up everywhere, making claims like: "It's not good to apply nutrients to hemorrhoids, such as ointments or oils... and most creams are mostly on a nutrient base. You might think you'll miss lubricating the hemorrhoids, but from experience, I tell you, you won't miss those creams at all. This is really the peak of amateurish nonsense, so it's no wonder people react the way they do to this kind of "expert" rambling. Especially that ridiculous conclusion that ointments "feed" hemorrhoids. By the way: it's HEMO, not HEME. We have hemoglobin, not hemoglobin...
Because: we're well aware they haven't just gone away on their own. (Once they grow large enough, once they become an "in-and-out" situation...) We also know that everything described here is just alleviating the symptoms, not a final cure. Most of us have tried taking a cold shower when there was bleeding; there's nothing new there. Targeted cryogenic action—which I suppose is possible—but obviously with liquid nitrogen, not some deep-sea stuff??
My long experience tells me that some ointments work better than others, though most contain a little anesthetic to dull the symptoms, and only years of use show whether they actually produce results or not. My go-to ended up being Proctolyn, but you can't find it here. And I can tell you for sure, they don't "lubricate" anything!!
I should also mention this: even though they haven't receded—and they won't—I’ve managed to discipline them so they stop bothering me in terms of tearing and bleeding. My little experiment involved adding a small amount of Vazogel, or any vein gel, to the ointment. And the result has been pretty good: they haven't torn for years, and there's no blood! The walls have simply toughened up. In this situation, I'm not thinking about surgery, so for anyone who is terrified of going under the knife, I recommend finding a decent ointment and mixing in a bit of vein gel—but keep in mind, you won't see the real results for a year or two.
So, let's see how that arrogant person who blurted out all that nonsense is judged.
