You can't exactly make life choices on behalf of your mother... Personally, I think it’s actually quite healthy that she’s fully aware of where things stand... There really isn't much else for her to do besides keep pushing forward just like she always has, building something of her own—even if the only way she can truly support the family is by carving out her own path...

Look, you said it yourself—back then, you were living in a house with its own set of rules that you were basically "forced" to conform to. It makes sense that being back home feels like such a struggle right now; you’re once again feeling pressured to adapt to an environment that isn't exactly perfect, especially since you've already had a taste of what a better setup looks like... Don't drive yourself crazy obsessing over everything you can change, because the hard truth is that you can't force people to be different. If anything, try to flip the script and use that frustration as fuel to focus on yourself... After all, you're finally at the starting line, building your own life from the ground up anyway...
