Forgiveness vs. Ego: How do you let go? in Spirituality ·
Sam Hayes said:I’ve come to realize that I don't actually understand what the word 'forgiveness' really means. In the past, I probably would have just called it making up with someone...

Now that I think about it, I suppose I feel the same way. It’s more like accepting the reality of who someone is... and realizing they might not even be aware of their own actions. I guess we all lack awareness of how we behave and react sometimes.

Letting things go, staying indifferent... maintaining composure and peace. You shouldn't pay too much mind to other people's provocations or outbursts, because honestly, that’s just their way of hunting for attention and trying to act important.

I used to get angry, and I guess I just wasted so much energy that way. Now, I mostly just laugh at it all. Why so serious? 😉

Of course, you shouldn't let someone make a fool out of you... you just laugh. Maybe state your opinion calmly without getting heated, letting your arguments and the facts speak for themselves. There are always those people who think they are always right; when you run into individuals like that, just keep driving. It seems unnecessary to waste energy on someone who refuses to understand anything or anyone who shows zero interest in hearing a different perspective...

Mark Clark76 said:Sorry, but personally, I've always found the phrase 'I can't live without you' to be peak melodrama. Especially when you pair it with his voice... it just doesn't work for me.

That’s just how it felt in that moment; she was speaking pure love with all logic switched off, which happens to everyone... but then again, time has passed, and they've both moved on. He eventually fell in love with someone else, leaving behind this beautiful song that shows just how much love can truly transform a person. 🙂 It’s as if nothing else in this world compares to the sheer power of Love 😉 It can make a person feel invincible one second and completely destroyed the next... love is a fickle thing. 😁

From what I understand, Stay the Night is about him and his new girlfriend... at least, that's what I heard somewhere... correct me if I'm wrong.

And his voice... man, it never bothered me... I don't get what people find so irritating about it...🤷

Mark Clark76 said:And who are you to judge me (or anyone else) for being soulless just because I don't enjoy his wailing? Does that make you feel better or more superior now? I'll never understand why people always resort to that "if you don't like it, don't listen" comment. This is a forum; people are bound to say negative things about stuff you actually love. Just accept it and life will be easier.

Back to the point... regarding the lyrics, there's a fine line between being heartfelt and being pathetic, and he definitely crossed it.

Everyone has music that speaks to them... that’s all I was saying. We are all different, and I have no desire—nor any need—to feel superior to anyone. The lyrics are what they are... written when he was left by a girl he clearly loved deeply. Honest emotions aren't pathetic. He felt that way in that moment, and I think many people can relate to at least a part of the song. 🙂

I honestly don't think I'll ever understand why people feel the need to bash or belittle musicians. Does it actually make you feel better about yourself or more superior? If you aren't a fan, just don't listen—there's really no need to start an argument. Who are we to judge someone else's musical taste?

Just listen to what you enjoy and stay away from all those pointless debates...

If you can't find the soul to relax and appreciate the peace and beauty in his voice, that's on you. To truly feel the beauty in the lyrics... that love... like in the song Goodbye My Lover. But then again, everyone has their own music for their soul... 😉
Why do some people need so much money? in Psychology ·
It’s actually quite simple. These people only find happiness if they have more and more... than everyone else. They seem fundamentally broken... they've lost their way... they don't know any other way to live... and they don't want to... money and wealth have become their entire identity.

You don't even need to look at millionaires or billionaires... just observe everyday life where people are constantly competing... over who has the better car, the better clothes, or the newest iPhone... just material things. For the average person, having a little extra is plenty... enough to share happiness with family... to help someone else... to give what they have instead of stepping on others to get ahead...

Technology and the endless stream of new gadgets have just created more things for people to compete over just to feel better about themselves. And in the process, they forget that true happiness should be found outside of material possessions...
Those numbers depend entirely on how much water you drank throughout the day. Personally, I think lower readings are more concerning, as that could suggest your kidneys aren't functioning quite right. I wouldn't stress over it too much if I were you.

I forgot to mention that the 24-hour urine test is used to measure potassium and sodium levels. If my memory serves me right, cardiologists look closely at this because both potassium and sodium play a huge role in regulating blood pressure...
