Absolutely wonderful
Karma vs. Free Will in Spirituality ·
Dennis Moore4 said:"Free will" is a fundamentally flawed concept because nobody actually controls their own thoughts...
What we really have is just the ability to choose which specific impulses to act on.
That's the long and short of it.

I control mine, and I know plenty of other people around the world who control theirs too.

Without controlling your thoughts, is it even really a life? It’s as if you aren't even alive! You're just living out some collective consciousness—which, frankly, isn't looking great at the moment, though that won't last much longer.😁

If you and people like you didn't believe that *you* were the sole authority on this, wouldn't you just head over to a local bookstore or a library and find—get this—a direct translation from Sanskrit into English, complete with an extensive study? A book like that came out a few years ago and is incredibly easy to find.
It would be quite improper, even unnecessary, for me to boast about how many translations and commentaries of the Gita I have read or which languages I've used.
After all, isn't there that old saying about casting pearls before swine?

I read it in Sanskrit.😁

'Free will' isn't actually free at all 😁. Sure, you can choose to drink alcohol whenever you want, but after a while, you just end up becoming an alcoholic, don't you?

It is our duty, our obligation, and honestly our greatest joy to live in alignment with who we truly are—God's children, expressions of Love, spiritual beings inhabiting material bodies... everything else is bound by the law of cause and effect. You reap what you sow, plain and simple. But since Love sits above even that law, the ultimate joy is always within our reach to wipe away those karmic debts. We just have to choose it!

A true treasure trove of spirituality and wisdom! It holds everything you could ever need to know. It’s over 5,000 years old, yet here we are in the West, barely grasping what happened even two

Whatever question crosses your mind, the answer is already waiting there for you! ☕

I honestly think it’s high time he finally sees the light.😁

Gregory Jackson said:So, I guess I’ll just throw out a little something trivial here too, just to see what everyone thinks, you know? Like, maybe...

So, I guess you're wondering what kind of monitor I'm currently staring at all day? Honestly, I haven't really thought about it much lately, but if I remember correctly, it’s a Dell—just one of those reliable ones you can always count on when you're deep in a rabbit hole, I suppose.
So, I was just sitting here thinking about that question—you know, wondering which countries actually hold the keys to the kingdom when it comes to the company I work for? It’s kind of a trip when you really stop to mull it over, I guess. Like, you go into your shift, grab your coffee, and just assume everything is local, but then you realize the whole ownership structure is this massive, complicated web stretching across the map. I mean, maybe it's just one big American conglomerate, or maybe there are pieces of it owned by folks halfway across the world, but honestly, it's hard to say for sure without digging through all those boring corporate filings, right? It makes you feel sort of small, thinking about how much global influence is tucked away behind a simple office door, but hey, that's just how the world works these days, I suppose!
So, I was just sitting here thinking about all this cosmic stuff, and I started wondering, like, what am I actually according to my horoscope? I guess I should probably check my birth chart or something to see which sign I fall under, you know? It’s kind of funny how much people obsess over those zodiac signs and whether they’re a Leo or a Scorpio or whatever, but maybe there's some truth to it buried in there somewhere, who knows? I'm honestly just curious to see if my personality actually lines up with what the stars say about me!

I mean, if you ask me, for someone like him, this probably shouldn't even be a struggle, I guess.

John Jones3 said:Then how do you distinguish between what happens in a week versus two weeks, or today versus tomorrow? If everything is just "now," pinning down a specific future event seems impossible.🤷

Ah, I honestly thought you had already grasped this concept! 😍

Everything is simply "now," not "today." This means that even a future event is unfolding at this very instant! 😉

I know exactly what is going to happen because I am the creator of my own reality. Sometimes, God steps in and makes things even better than I could have ever imagined! 😁

Even the past is unfolding right now; we are operating at the quantum level.

John Jones3 said:That joke about the porn was just that—a joke. Not sure where your sense of humor went. Anyway, thanks fadedskipper52 for the critique and the concern; everything you said is spot on, and I’m well aware of it—working on it. 😉

Now you're claiming some big change is coming my way soon—don't tell me you've decided to start using your "supernatural powers" on this forum too? That would be a real step down to the exact level you claim to despise in me.

Supernatural forces simply don't exist. If we are all interconnected, what is left to be "supernatural"? And if the present moment is truly all we have, why is it such a problem to glimpse the future?

Contempt? Quite the opposite! I sincerely hope we can become friends. Not many people undergo these kinds of experiences. I just hope you won't be watching while I 🙂

Most of what was written in that post applies to every single one of us. 🙂

It seems we had a bit of a misunderstanding, rukfas. Your subconscious is crying out for a sense of "release"—it needs to let go of traumas, sadness, stress, fears, and all those other abstract burdens we carry. Everything you write is essentially a reflection of yourself (just like it is for the rest of us), filtered through that deep subconscious layer. The ego then misinterprets this data, creating a desperate need to prove a reality that exists entirely outside of yourself. And what does that kind of proving lead to? It leads to a total lack of awareness regarding your own actions!

That message you sent to Miller was, to put it mildly, pretty rude. Are you really suggesting that people should treat you with absolute awe just because you have certain insights? It’s not like Miller is the one looking for adult content—which isn't inherently a bad thing—but rather, his subconscious is simply revealing who he truly is.

Everything you "see" is merely filtered through the lens of your own subconscious and personal perception. Is it not simply a reflection of who you are?

If your ego ends up taking the driver's seat, you are heading down a very dangerous path! I strongly advise you to give this some serious thought. A massive shift is on the horizon for you, isn't it? Ultimately, whether that change leads to success or disaster depends entirely on you!

Keep this in mind: everything in the world is actually perfectly fine! The reality we experience is merely a reflection of our own internal state. So, if we perceive something as "bad"—though that’s entirely relative, isn't it? It might not feel bad to everyone else—then that negativity actually resides within us. Isn't that right? We must look inward to find the answers we seek. Otherwise, the world remains in perfect harmony, and it becomes clear that it is only a matter of time before everyone else realizes the same thing!

As long as we find ourselves chasing external validation to prove our enlightenment—or any other internal state—something within us remains fundamentally out of alignment. Don't you think?

First you ask the question, then act all shocked when you actually get an answer. You still have a lot to learn from the pros—you're just a little wannabe light show enthusiast

Keep this up and I might just have to shut you down myself.

Who can blame you while you're still on your journey?😍
