So, I’ve had this thing on the left side of my tongue for a while now, and honestly, I had zero clue what was actually going on. Back in the summer, I basically scorched my tongue on some hot food, and ever since then—after it felt dry and rough for a long stretch—everything just keeps getting worse every time I eat something spicy. I went out and got a swab test done to check for yeast or fungus, but that came back negative. Then I headed over to an ENT specialist because it felt like the little bump was actually getting bigger. The doc told me straight up it’s just a fibroma, saying it probably gets irritated by whatever food I'm eating. Has anyone here gone through having a tongue fibroma removed privately? Like, where did you go? Any horror stories or success stories? Please tell me everything. But honestly, the fibroma itself isn't even the biggest headache—it's more about how that specific spot on my tongue constantly stings and tingles. It usually flares up right after I finish a meal, swells up a bit, and then settles down again. But it feels so weird... if something is bothering me, why does it only react on that one specific side instead of my whole tongue acting up?
Not really.😕 I just had that ultrasound thing done on the vein in my right leg about ten days ago. Then yesterday, I went in for a Doppler scan on the same leg, and everything came back looking fine. My internist suggested I start taking some Aspirin 100 as part of my routine, but then the cardiologist who did the Doppler yesterday was like, "Nah, you don't even need that." I guess I'll just have to redo the tests in a week.
So, they just ran some routine bloodwork and found out my platelet count is through the roof. It’s 30 points over the upper limit. Anyone else dealt with this? Help a guy out.
People like Keith Allen4 always jump in just to stir the pot because they can't stand things being peaceful for five minutes.😛 Ugh, honestly, S.C., you know how it goes—it's always those women, right? The "perfect" moms who are all smiles from the first trimester until the day they deliver, breastfeeding without a single hitch, living in pristine houses, never raising their voices at the kids, and basically posing for a cover shoot for Vogue at any given second.😉Just block them and move on.☕ Trust me, you’ll have those moments where you’re questioning everything—like, why did I even do this? Like, wouldn't it be easier to just toss the husband and the kid out the window and run away? But even then, nothing is ever going to change how much you love that baby. It’s all going to work out. For me, Tin was an absolute dream from the moment he arrived.😍
Roger Rodriguez, stop telling me my kid’s gonna turn out slow.😉My 12-year-old is actually freaking brilliant—definitely smarter than I ever was, to be honest.😉I had him when I was just 22. In my book, you’re never truly "ready" to be a parent, but whether I was 22 or 34, that excitement for the baby stays the same. It’s a grind, don't get me wrong, but it’s beautiful.🙂 And honestly? Post-baby sex? For us, things actually felt better down there afterward.🙂 Look, balancing college and a newborn is going to be a massive headache. Seriously, grab anyone and everyone around you to help out so you can actually breathe and enjoy the moment while you can.
Honestly, looking back, I feel like I was such a freaking kid when I was dealing with Pregnancy at 22. I was way, way more chill back then than I am now🙂. Back in the day, we didn't have the internet constantly screaming in our faces. I had my friends who were also pregnant, a couple of books like "What to Expect When You're Expecting," and maybe some old issues of *Parents* magazine. Google? Zero help. I didn't have any worries because, frankly, I didn't even know what was coming my way. Fast forward to 34, and man, I’m a total nervous wreck. I’m constantly overthinking everything, just spiraling. I’m drowning in information, and even though I’m trying so hard to just enjoy the moment, it’s impossible. It’s just constant stress—waiting on ultrasound results, worrying about every little thing, checking for discharge, dealing with nausea, and now I've got a UTI🙂—I’m losing my mind, seriously.
Man, I just love these badass women, total queens. Honestly, I’d probably 😠give them my full support too. And don't even get me started on those groups of kids out there who basically ignore contraception; I 😠don't even want to go there. She isn't being biased without reason... A close friend of mine went through years of grueling IVF and finally had this absolutely beautiful little girl about a year ago. When you realize everything she had to endure just to get to that point, hearing people argue against it makes me want to just lose it on them, but whatever, that's a whole other rant for another day... Look, there is no way I'm backing down on this one. 🙂
Brandon Scott5 🤣I seriously cannot believe this. Like, I’m finally pregnant after twelve long years, and now everyone is breathing down my neck asking if we planned this or if it was just a surprise🙄? Why do you even care? Honestly, I am dying for a little girl this time—since my first one was a boy—so all these comments about whether I'm "sure" it's a girl are driving me absolutely insane. On top of that, my hair is thinning out like crazy, and don't even get me started on how I feel physically. Everything stings, everything aches, I feel totally nauseous... I'm basically just a zombie at this point, constantly resting because I have zero energy left for anything else.🙂
Seriously,🙂 it’s like she personally ordered this kid into existence, and we only even went through the whole process after twelve years of waiting because of her.🙂186 miles Honestly, it just pisses me off.
Ugh, here I go again... So, I finally made the switch from Seroxat over to Prozac. I tried to be all responsible and did a slow taper—half Seroxat and half Prozac for a bit, which seemed totally fine. But now? I’ve been on nothing but Prozac for 18 days and everything is just... off. The anxiety is hitting me hard, my heart is literally skipping beats like it's trying to escape my chest, and I have zero motivation. Just total lethargy. Is this some kind of side effect from the Prozac? I’ve been popping 5 mg of Ativan every now and then to cope, but honestly, I'm terrified I'm going to build up a tolerance. It basically just numbs me out for a second before reality hits again...😢
Hey, Sophia Moore38, I’ve got an echocardiogram from my private doctor, but if you really want it, I can shoot you a DM. It’s probably just how I was born, honestly.
Man, you really gotta give them your whole medical history first. I learned that the hard way back in July when my doctor wouldn't even bother prescribing my heart meds properly.
I was knocking back half a bottle—maybe five days straight—and honestly? I felt like absolute garbage. Just constant nausea, especially after finishing the whole thing, but hey, that’s just one of those side effects that eventually wears off... I used to take mine first thing in the morning right when I rolled out of bed.🤷
Eglonyl completely trashed my cycle, gave me breakouts, and even made my breasts swell up and leak🙄, plus that Seroxat had me in a total fog for the first two weeks—just constant nausea and drowsiness. I couldn't eat, couldn't watch TV, couldn't even pick up a book... I just slept through everything.
So, I was on Eglonyl twice a day—around 200mg each time, I think—and I’d take Paxil in the mornings too. Honestly? It worked fine for me, at least until the side effects started kicking in. I was on that combo for maybe two months or so. Dealing with that whole depressive-anxiety mix, you know how it goes.
Brandon Lopez6, how on earth were you taking Seroxat for that long if it wasn't even working for you? Seriously, how much weight did you put on because of it? And did you actually bother with psychotherapy or anything like that?
Seriously, you must have been seeing my therapist every single day back when you were mixing Effexor and Paxil🤣. Personally, I felt totally fine mentally on the Effexor, but man, those side effects🙄... And with the Paxil, I was basically a zombie at first, just completely wiped out, but things are finally leveling out. For me, it actually worked the opposite way people say—since I started taking it, my emotions actually feel alive again rather than numb😍. The only thing is, I’m putting on weight like crazy, and now I'm sitting here wondering if it's the meds or if I'm just eating too much🤷. Has anyone else been on this stuff for the long haul? I've been taking it for about four and a half months now.
