If people claim a dog is more intelligent than a cat, they’re usually just basing it on the fact that a dog will fetch a stick while a cat doesn't even acknowledge your existence. It’s a shallow way to judge intelligence, and honestly, it says much more about the person making the claim than it does about the animals...
Paul Sanders5 said:If the owner kicks the bucket, the dog would just sit there howling until it finally gave up the ghost. Then the cat would probably eat you, and then find its own way out.

You know how it works. We can keep chasing quality until we hit five figures.
Exactly. I remember seeing the Samsung HW80 on sale in the media. It was around $1400 if I recall correctly. I ended up picking one up. I think that soundbar is a real gateway into the high-end tier. It makes sense, though, considering how much beefier it is compared to the models we were discussing before... especially with that weight being around 8kg, if my memory serves me right...
Respectfully, colleague, that Sony isn't worth it. It’s just okay, but the mids are pretty lifeless. I wouldn't even suggest the ZF9 at that price point...

A soundbar can't quite replicate a dedicated 5.1 system, but if you don't have the room to properly space out speakers for true surround sound, then a high-quality soundbar is the way to go...
In my opinion, this one offers great value: Yamaha YAS-209...
This one is actually better and more powerful. It's essentially Harman Kardon inside a Samsung shell, and you won't find it cheaper anywhere else compared to the previous model: samsung-hw-q70 (I just noticed this sale price is only valid today 😬)...
That JBL doesn't get much praise in reviews. I was considering the HW70 myself, but ended up passing because other expenses came up. By the way, since you're in the States, always check the local retailers first to avoid unexpected shipping issues or import fees on higher-priced items...
Peter Thompson4 said:But seriously, do you actually think a soundbar can ever hold its own against a legitimate home theater setup? I'm looking at a pretty small room here, maybe like a 15 by 15 space.
They can't. You'll definitely get better audio than your TV speakers, though. Just don't expect anything much beyond the basics from soundbars priced under $3,000...
I believe more evil has been done in this world by people claiming they are merely "choosing the lesser of two evils" than by those who set out with the conscious intent to cause harm.
In this second round of elections for a position that has zero impact on the actual lives of citizens, some people see a choice. I don't see one at all. Both candidates represent a political elite that has proven they care exclusively about their own interests and those of their party members. This classic struggle between the two most opportunistic organizations in the country isn't a choice of who will better serve the nation or its people; it's a competition to see which one gets the position necessary to pursue their own agendas. I refuse to participate in such an election. To me, this isn't a choice, nor do I care about the redistribution of power among people who have already spent multiple terms proving they won't lift a finger to change or improve this country.
Choosing the lesser of two evils is a conscious decision to embrace evil, and if one evil is simply less significant than the other, it doesn't make it good, nor will it ever be... When faced with a choice between two evils, my choice is to choose nothing at all.
The Stand by Me version is such a chill vibe. It makes me want to just snap my fingers and nod along to that "home, sweet home" rhythm... pure perfection...
I mean, if someone actually went out and disciplined those kids or beat them, they’d just be labeled an abuser.
Honestly? This whole world deserves one honest-to-God fallout.
People often wonder what kind of children act like this—killing small animals or doing such sadistic things. It makes you question who brings such offspring into the world...
The new season of True Detective offers a universal answer to that question:
I was genuinely blown away by 🙂 It actually surpasses any Spider-Man film, which is saying something... Honestly, whether it’s animated or not, this is easily one of the best Superhero movies I've seen in a long while. I really regret not catching this at an AMC Theatres, but I had no idea it would be such a masterpiece...
