I don't think the drive is the culprit here. I've got an NX7400 and I'm running into the exact same issues—it looks like a BIOS flaw, which is a real headache.

It isn't the motherboard itself, but the BIOS needs an update. You'll need to take it to a repair shop to get the BIOS replaced.

I’m a little worried you might have fried the BIOS, which means you're looking at a replacement. Unless you're getting some kind of signal on your monitor, there isn't much we can do. If the screen stays black, I'm afraid the BIOS is likely toast.
