I have a quick question. I bought a new car this past Tuesday, and then yesterday, some lady in a parking lot totally ripped into me. After thinking about it—and talking it over with a few people—I feel like she's definitely the one at fault here. She’s insured through GEICO, we didn't end up calling the cops, and we just signed all those claim forms on the spot. They told me to wait for an adjuster to call, but I’m wondering what actually happens next? Like, what are my options or how does this usually play out? Thanks!

It’s about the heating element... Supposedly it’s from Switzerland, but I can't be totally sure... based on what George Sanders37 described, it should be this Italian one because the prongs are perfectly aligned and the middle one sits right in the center between them...

I've got this one device that has a standard plug just like ours, but there’s an extra third prong right in the middle. I was wondering if there's an adapter out there for this? Does anyone know what I should search for so I can actually use it? Thanks!

So, here’s the deal. I ordered a basic car emergency kit from a shop in Washington, D.C. The guy says he sent it out the Saturday right before Christmas via standard mail. But honestly, there’s still no sign of it. He gave me some kind of tracking number, but I’m a bit confused—how does standard mail even come with a tracking number?? I could use some help here. Should I just keep waiting, or maybe head down to the post office?? Just to compare, a different package sent on Thursday, January 3rd, already showed up today via certified mail.

Hey, I noticed this thread hasn't been active for about two months, but I figured I'd ask here anyway. I'm planning on picking up my first car soon, maybe something around $2.75 including registration—thinking along the lines of an old Ford Escort or maybe a Chevy Cavalier, nothing fancy or expensive. Since this would be my very first car, I was wondering how much I should expect to pay for mandatory insurance as a new driver? I guess it's hard to say, but any help is appreciated! Also, if anyone has recommendations for a good insurance company, please let me know. Thanks!
