I really need some help here!
So, I’ve pretty much nailed down the specs I'm looking for (Okay, fine—it wasn't actually me, it was an IT guy who mapped this out)
Can you guys recommend something along these lines:
An Intel Core i5 8GB RAM setup, a 1TB hard drive, integrated graphics, and if possible, a DVD drive. Needs to be a 15.6" screen, ideally under $1333. If there's a cheaper option, even better! It doesn't even have to run Windows.
I'm definitely not gaming—just basic office stuff, browsing the web, and hooking it up to the TV for movies. It would be awesome if it could handle AutoCAD, but we're talking simple models only, nothing crazy like heavy 3D work or anything.
Since I've got a baby to look after, I don't exactly have time to go running around different stores—is there an online shop where I can just filter everything by specific specs?
Thanks a million!

But man, those comments? They really get under my skin.
Especially the ones coming from the 30+ crowd on TikTok.
I mean, what are you even supposed to say when someone hits you with some "you're getting bigger and bigger" nonsense?
Okay, fair enough—you definitely have a right to feel that way.
Me? I once had this girl—who was being seriously obnoxious, by the way—tell me I had a huge stomach, and I just looked her dead in the eye and told her there was a baby growing in there because the food I ate earlier was so good it was basically pushing its way out! 😁 Anyway, at least I managed to shut her up for a second. 😉

For real though? It’s just a tiny little human in there, so I can't help but wonder what exactly is fueling all this growth. But hey, thanks for the reminder that I'm getting bigger by the second. Love that for me, truly.
I mean, isn't that basically every girl's dream, right?
Personally, it doesn't bother me one bit... if anything, I actually find him even more adorable now that he's getting bigger! 🙂
Now that I'm pregnant, I finally feel like I love my body exactly the way it is!
Ugh, tell me about it... I was actually just venting the other day about how I feel like the only complete idiot left who actually knows how to give up their seat to seniors or pregnant women.
It’s a total disaster.
The only thing that actually caught me off guard—in a good way!—was this local celebrity I recognize. He’s got a little kid at home, and while I was waiting in line at Chase Bank, he was on the phone with his wife, who was already there with the baby. He was explaining how she’d been waiting for over half an hour and he’d be right there soon. Then, when it was finally his turn, he actually offered to let me go ahead of him! And get this—he was clearly in a rush too. I’m only about six months along, so my bump isn't even that huge yet.
But the other ten people in line? They totally ignored me and gave him the dirtiest looks ever because he was letting me cut in front...
Ugh, oh man... advice! 😁
It’s always the same thing—everyone thinks they're some kind of genius, right? If I grab ten random people off the street in Chicago and ask them the exact same question, they’ll all swear they have the perfect answer, but you won't get two people saying the same thing!
But honestly? My favorite part is when I don't even *ask* for help, and they still start lecturing me like I'm clueless. Like, I'll be out driving somewhere and some lady's grandma friend pulls up next to me, starts interrogating me about everything under the sun, and then has the nerve to ask if my nipples are good enough for breastfeeding. Like, how am I supposed to know if they're "good"? What, you want me to pull one out right here on the highway so you can inspect it? 😁

What does he mean, "spoiled"? Is he planning on running a little patriarchy over there, or is he just a total chauvinist?
My own mother basically told me I’m a failure as a woman just because I won't give her a granddaughter instead of a grandson! 😁
And honestly, let's just skip to the part where I wish it was a girl too!
Seriously though, until recently, she wouldn't even accept that I was having a boy. She kept telling me how she spends every single weekend at church praying for a girl instead. And get this—she claims her whole extended family is backing her up, like everyone is sitting around praying for a little girl!
Since everyone else is venting, I guess it’s my turn to join the complaining club... 😉
Honestly, this insomnia and constant heartburn at night are driving me absolutely insane... I am just dreaming of the day I can finally sleep like a normal human being—on my stomach or my back! (you know, how I used to sleep before getting pregnant... hopefully that's coming soon!)
It also really bugs me how there’s so much stuff about pregnancy that nobody ever warns you about, but once it actually starts happening, everyone acts like it’s totally normal and happens to everybody. Like, the brain fog, the clumsiness, the hormones going haywire, and just being physically unable to do basic tasks (seriously, I almost wiped out twice yesterday just trying to dry my legs after a shower. Twice!!)
And don't even get me started on the lack of manners—like when I'm standing in line at Chase, nobody even thinks to offer me a seat, let alone let me cut ahead. I feel like I'm the only person who's ever tried to be decent to someone else in a queue😢 But hey, as long as everyone gets to say: "Oh, you're pregnant, you get special treatment." Yeah, right.
But what kills me most? It's this whole "festive December" vibe where all my girlfriends are constantly hanging out, and every time I call them, they've already got plans. They never invite me because they see me as such a "drag"—since I can't stand cigarette smoke and I definitely can't keep up with their crazy pace.😢
As for my belly? Only people I actually like are allowed to touch it.🙂 I don't mind that, but if some random stranger tries to grab me, they might lose a hand.
