You need to learn when to step back and let the moderators handle things instead of trying to take matters into your own hands. A partial suspension isn't the same thing as a full ban or a permanent strike. You were told multiple times that you were facing a partial suspension, yet you chose to just ignore it—you even admitted to doing so. Furthermore, a moderator doesn't just hand out a partial suspension on a whim. For your specific case, the entire moderation team at CNN was in agreement, and the head admin had to sign off on it too. It happened today; you received your partial suspension. And let me be clear: you weren't banned, so there is absolutely no reason for anyone to be sending you links.

If you need a little refresher, go check out the Narcos or Show Me a Hero threads and look at who you were arguing with and how it ended. That should settle the idea that people are allowed to insult you without consequences. The real issue is that you never actually fight back; instead, you just methodically report every controversial post. You're basically fueling the fire. Is that really what we need on this forum? NOT. You can't blame us for being tired of cleaning up after you or for refusing to look the other way anymore.

That is precisely where the trouble lies and why those posts were removed—it became an overly broad discussion that failed to remain focused on the show as required.

You can't really "accuse" me of deleting comments regarding characters or concepts if your posts only touch upon them briefly before veering off course. If my memory serves, there were mentions of Ragnar’s blue eyes or how the actors look like fashion models, followed by a tangent about when we might see a version featuring Islamist characters or dark-skinned Arabic models instead. I’m sorry, but if you write two sentences about the series and then follow them with twenty sentences about Viking history or irrelevant theories about distant peoples, I have to either leave it alone and issue a warning or delete it and ask you to get back on track.

As far as I'm concerned, the deleted posts from the Vikings thread aren't coming back, unless the supermoderator or the admins decide otherwise.

The CBS thread is moderated on a daily basis. A lot of unnecessary filler gets wiped away, and out of those 150 comments you mentioned, any that the moderators deem irrelevant will be removed.

Analysis, impressions, opinions, etc., regarding what was shown in an episode, season, or the series as a whole. A discussion rooted in specific examples. In short.

We also have the Vikings thread over at Unseen US/UK (also on the television pdf). Out of 472 comments, not a single one has been deleted, and we are only halfway through Season 3.

This was just one time thing. It’s not a weekly show that warrants its own dedicated thread. That’s the main difference between this topic you started and something like Sunday at 2 or Pyramid.

Since you even mentioned in your own comment how embarrassing this was for PBS, along with a few other similar points, I thought it made more sense to move the conversation over there.

I honestly don't see any issue with discussing the lack of professionalism from PBS anchors or their inappropriate reporting style within the PBS thread. 😉

I trust the moderators in Politics won't have any trouble with people discussing this from various angles, provided the debate remains respectful and fair.

Hey everyone, I have a bit of a dilemma regarding installing Windows XP on a machine running Windows 7. Here’s the situation: I use a bootable Windows XP disc on my laptop, which currently has Windows 7 installed. The system recognizes the disc just fine, but after about three minutes, it throws an error saying the installation isn't possible because it can't find the hard drive or something along those lines. What's strange is that I used this exact same disc today to install XP on my friend's Vista machine, and everything worked perfectly! So, I'm wondering, how can I get past this Windows 7 hurdle to finally get XP running? It works seamlessly on Vista, yet on 7, it just refuses to cooperate. Where could the catch be? Is there a way to completely wipe Windows 7 so the laptop has no operating system at all, potentially allowing for a clean Windows XP installation? I've tried searching Google for solutions, but nothing I've found so far seems to work.
