When you just can't let it go.

I know how this feels... I ended things with my girlfriend about a month and a half ago after six years together—quite a long stretch, really. I actually ended up seeing a psychiatrist, and they prescribed some medication, though I haven't touched a single pill since. Right now, I’m just in this strange, hazy headspace. I feel completely isolated, without any friends nearby, and it honestly feels like I’ve drifted away from the rest of the world—like I'm living in some sort of parallel dimension. I don't go out, I don't talk to anyone, I don't even grab a drink with anyone... I just feel like a ghost drifting through life. There have been moments where I just wanted to end the misery once and for all, but I’ve put those thoughts on hold for a bit, just to see where things land.
