Michael Martin4 said:It honestly bugs me so much that whenever I show up for a checkup, the first thing everyone asks is, "So, how many pounds did you put on?"

I mean, is that really the most important thing? I guess not. My arms, legs, and butt all look totally fine, but my stomach is just huge. 🙄

Preach...
"How much did you pack on? Where did you put it? How bad is the cellulite??" 🙂

Ugh... I’m only halfway there, and my belly is just medium-sized—you can only tell if I'm wearing tight dresses or fitted tees. I haven't gained a ton of weight, but I've definitely filled out, and it's all going from my ass up to my chest—my cleavage is practically hitting my chin at this point. 😁

-The heartburn is killing me
-And I'm so moody and tearful—I feel like a total wreck sometimes
Quick question for the ladies—is anyone else dealing with insane nose pain lately? It’s been the last two days and I'm barely a month out from surgery, maybe a little more
Is it just the weather changing or what? Seriously, sometimes I feel like hitting my head against a wall just to distract myself from how much this hurts 🙂
Hey
Anyone know—I can't make it to pick up my package today, so I'm wondering who's footing the bill here.
When the mailman leaves one of those little slips saying a package is waiting, and there’s some weird "RIN" code or whatever at the top
...and then right under the tracking number there's *another* number listed... could that mean there are actually two packages? Like, is it possible both arrived at once? I don't even have a tracking number for the second one—it's a birthday gift for tomorrow—so maybe he just scribbled both on the same slip? Help a girl out 😉

Look, maybe I can help you out a bit—even if I'm totally not an expert 😉
I didn't even realize I had a deviated septum myself! I’d just wake up every morning with my mouth feeling bone-dry and finally realized I wasn't breathing through my nose at all during the night—just mouth-breathing. Plus, my husband mentioned I was snoring, which was a total first for me... 😁
The sneezing, especially when moving from a warm room to the cold air, the constant stuffiness—usually one nostril would clog, then the other would take over, and so on. So, I went to see my doctor to get a referral for an ENT. As soon as she sat me down and checked my nose with that little light gadget (doesn't hurt, they just look inside), she told me I had a deviation. She sent me for X-rays and sinus scans, and once those images came back, the reality of the situation really hit home—you can see everything so much clearer on an X-ray, right? After that, I booked a cosmetic procedure with her immediately and was on the operating table within a month. 😉

Hey—it’s been about a week and a half for me since my surgery, and honestly, if there’s any smoke anywhere, it’s usually just in my own apartment. People are constantly dropping by, and when we all light up at once, you could practically cut the smoke with a knife. (My cat is basically going to need an inhaler soon 😬).
Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I was a smoker before and I’m still smoking just as much as I used to... whether it's "allowed" or not, I don't know, but my nose is clear and I can breathe perfectly fine..
What I really want to know is how long it takes for the swelling to actually die down? Right now I’m shaped like a bumblebee. It’s been about a month—is it almost over? My nose looks great and I’m stoked, but it feels like the sides (that bone area under the eyes) and the tip are still pretty swollen..
Joining the club—it’s been 7 days since my surgery...
I don't get how some people claim they didn't feel a thing—like, what, a little tickle? Total BS. For me, the pain was brutal and I'm still getting hit with it every now and then. I had both the septoplasty and the cosmetic stuff done. Still got some bruising around my eyes, but nothing crazy—they're already fading from purple to yellow 😁
The actual procedure went fine, though the anesthesia absolutely wrecked me—I was puking and crying my eyes out afterward, plus there was a lot of bleeding. Honestly, though, my profile looks amazing; it's smaller and that hump is totally gone. It just looks a bit swollen from the front. My doctor told me to stay put, so I'm basically a hermit right now—just moving from the bed to the couch and back again. I'm using Maxitrol nasal drops and dabbing some on the bruises, and they're shrinking every day.
As for breathing issues? Please. Even now, I'm breathing through my nose like I've got massive lungs. 👍
Rebecca Thompson76 said:It’s totally false to say all ENT surgeons act like this. I went in for a septum surgery and they ended up smoothing out my hump too—basically broke the bone and reset it. No sanding or anything weird like that.

I am 100% with you on this.
A colleague of mine just had nose surgery at a local hospital with an ENT who’s been around since forever—like, decades of experience. She only had a mild deviated septum, nothing majorly urgent, but she was feeling pretty down about her little hump and how wide her nose looked. So, he fixed everything up perfectly—broke it, reset it, no sanding, no bumps, no side effects. The only catch was waiting a few months for the appointment, but insurance covered the whole thing and now she’s got a gorgeous nose.😉
