My laptop keeps dropping the Wi-Fi connection in IT Support ·
I tested this on other browsers. It isn't a bad idea, but unfortunately, I am seeing the same thing... Internet Explorer crashes immediately, and while Mozilla and Chrome are a bit more stable, they still crash eventually.

It seems to be working fine for everyone else... I don't know much about hardware, but I'm starting to worry that something might have actually failed. Does anyone have any suggestions before I just take it to a repair shop?
My laptop keeps dropping the Wi-Fi connection in IT Support ·
As the title implies, my internet connection keeps dropping out constantly. I'm using an Ethernet cable at my college dorm, and the connection crashes roughly every 5 to 10 minutes.

Once it goes down, there isn't much I can do except reboot the laptop. I'm running Windows 7 and the built-in troubleshooter is useless. If I try to disable the LAN in the network settings, I can't turn it back on; everything just freezes up. Even the laptop won't shut down properly because it seems to hang indefinitely...

The Wi-Fi on my laptop works perfectly fine since I can connect without issue when I'm back home. (I can't use Wi-Fi on this specific campus network, though).

There might be one other important detail to note. For instance, if I start streaming a game and leave it alone, the connection stays stable without any drops. A stream can run for two hours straight without a single hiccup. But as soon as I spend five minutes just browsing websites, that yellow exclamation mark pops up on the network icon and says "No network access."

At the moment the connection breaks, nothing seems to work. Windows doesn't even recognize if I've unplugged the cable or anything else. My only option is to disable the LAN in the settings, force a shutdown on the laptop (since I can't re-enable the LAN after disabling it), and then enable it once the system restarts... though even that doesn't always fix it.

I have already attempted a full reinstallation of Windows, yet the problem persists. It's unclear whether this is a Windows issue or a software conflict...

Naturally, I also tried using a different cable and even plugged into a port in a different room where the internet works fine, but the result is exactly the same.

I see there are some people here who are more knowledgeable about this topic, so I have a question.
I haven't had nose surgery (though I am planning to fix a bump one day 😁), but regardless of that, my nose runs constantly throughout the day. It isn't anything special, just clear fluid, but it is truly non-stop. I've lost count of how many tissues I've used, and this has been going on for years. Everyone who knows me has noticed it; once, I even received a huge pack of tissues for my birthday as a joke. 😂 It becomes especially noticeable when I step outside or walk back into a building, or whenever I take a deep breath because I'm in a hurry. I understand that a runny nose can be normal, but I feel like mine happens far too frequently.
I'm sure it isn't anything serious, but I am curious about the cause. Is my nasal mucosa just overly sensitive, or could it be something else?

Thanks in advance! 🙂

I dealt with the exact same thing throughout high school. You likely have a deviated septum. I had to wait until I was 18 to have surgery, and things are much better now.

It's usually in the morning. I don't have any other symptoms or issues... 🙂

I used to experience that quite often. After doing some research online, I realized it was actually due to consuming too much Vitamin C every day. It sounds a bit strange, but it really was caused by that... as soon as I stopped or just cut back on it, those problems completely vanished...

I actually just scheduled an appointment with Dr. John Doe at Mayo Clinic today. The earliest available slot isn't until late January. Though, I suspect he has the longest waitlist of all...

On another note, does anyone know if Dr. John Doe would be open to performing minor rhinoplasty corrections following a previous septoplasty?
Hey everyone. Following my septoplasty, the tip of my nose has completely changed shape. It seems to have dropped down, leaving it looking uneven. If I manually lift it with my finger, it looks fine, but then it just sags back down. It isn't incredibly obvious, but it’s definitely bothering me. I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with something similar.
I'm currently considering a revision surgery to straighten everything out. I don't think the procedure itself would be overly complicated, but I am curious about the general price range for these types of corrections and which surgeons or clinics in the States would be the best to visit.

Has anyone here registered with DraftKings? If you could share some details here or via private message regarding how deposits and withdrawals work... I was thinking using Skrill (PayPal) might be the best route, but I'm not entirely sure how that works. Could you also let me know which bank you use and what kind of account you have set up for PayPal...

Casey James56 said:This isn't some trap or a gift. If you think they're baiting you at 1.7, remember a "gift" would be something like 2x the 2.45 line. I'm convinced they set the odds at 2.5 for the LA Galaxy just so half the bettors wouldn't touch it.You're relying too much on odds that are completely unrealistic. But God, I hope I'm wrong and the Galaxy pulls it off today... It feels like this is heading for overtime
.

I agree with the first part, but not the second. Don't ever assume the odds are unrealistic. It is nearly impossible to find a flaw in them. We don't even realize how much these Vegas sportsbooks know about every single game. A 1.70 line is perfectly legitimate; don't go thinking you've found a mistake. As for the idea of "baiting," it doesn't exist. The only thing a sportsbook cares about is setting the exact right number to ensure their profit. Baiting isn't a strategy, unless you count those daily "super picks" where they bump the lines by a few percent to attract action

I agree with you. We really need to go all out against the French today...
An investment like that certainly isn't a minor or mid-level stake...

As I stated previously, I placed a moderate wager. When I mentioned doubling down, I simply meant that if I were to put any money on anything today, it would be this specific game. The emphasis is on TODAY. Even if I had gone with a heavy bet at a place like DraftKings, the result would have been the same... I don't understand why there is so much friction regarding this...

I'll say it again: this was just a friendly match. The result isn't everything... And regarding what Ethan Jones5 wrote... hmm. I find it hard to believe that players are actually out for blood.

I only partially agree with that assessment. It’s true that the primary goal here is to gauge the national team's rhythm and test out some tactical shifts, but we have to remember one thing. Players at this elite level step onto the pitch with nothing less than a hunger for victory. You can bet the French won't be thrilled to see headlines tomorrow claiming they struggled against a secondary lineup from the US, or worse, that they were outplayed by us... If you actually watched the match, you would have seen that these players weren't exactly holding back. They are conditioned to give one hundred percent the moment they step out there. This isn't some local amateur league...

What I want to emphasize is that these kinds of games aren't meant for big stakes. At the end of the day, we're all just playing for our own money, so everyone can do what they like...

It’s simply the truth. Anyone betting on friendlies up to this point hasn't had much luck staying in the black. Personally, I would never risk a significant stake on a match like that... unless I had some sort of inside information.

In the end, I see the only issue was my choice of language... though that shouldn't have been such a dealbreaker. If someone interpreted my wording as a tip for a big sportsbook like DraftKings, then they walked away with a win. Regardless, I provided a concise analysis of why I’d place the bet... leaving it up to everyone to decide the level of certainty for themselves...

Greetings to everyone. Please share some suggestions for tomorrow. I would like to see this thread become a bit more active...

Have you forgotten that this match carries zero weight? The result isn't mandatory. There is certainly no need to go all-in on a friendly or preseason game like this. Personally, I might put a little action on friendlies via an app, but never on any serious parlay...

It's already 2-0 in the 15th minute... it should cover... though I wasn't betting big stakes either, just a moderate amount... but perhaps you are forgetting the most vital aspect of these games. For the national team, creating a good atmosphere and leaving a positive impression before the Euros is what matters most. Not to mention the players are killing themselves out there because everyone wants to fight for a starting spot. Who gets to play depends entirely on performances in matches like these... anyway, I didn't even take France with a handicap today, just a straight win combined with the young Spaniards and tipsarevićem...

What are your thoughts on tomorrow's championship final for the local indoor soccer league... Los Angeles Lakers vs. San Diego Padres 1 @1.35??
I suspect the L.A. side will take it quite easily. The odds look solid, and they might even climb higher...

USA v Mexico (Friendly)
The US is fielding 10 new players today compared to the squad that lost 0-2 to Spain. Only Captain Miller remains from the previous lineup. The projected roster looks like this: Smith - Miller, Johnson, Davis - Wilson, Anderson, Garcia, Thompson - Adams, Walker – Scott.

bet 1

I agree with you. We need to dominate the French today. It’s worth taking the single bet on France +2 at 2.60 odds...
There is quite a bit of chaos within the US national team right now. There was some controversy regarding the anthem, along with poor tactical decisions... Meanwhile, the French side has played exceptionally well over their last two matches (aside from that first half against Ireland) and they are stepping onto the field today with a full-strength roster...
