beebop said:We really ought to scrap the whole monetary system and just go back to bartering goods. I was watching this documentary the other day where they mentioned a sculptor who carved a statue of the Holy Trinity, and his payment ended up being worth about 200 eggs! We need to reconnect with nature. People should honestly just move out of these crowded cities and settle on farms where they can focus on agriculture and live a peaceful, simple life. This modern way of living—driven by nothing but capitalism and pure greed—is easily the greatest tragedy ever to strike the human race.

🤔 But wait, how exactly would you afford to buy a massive ranch to start your farming life and find that peace and quiet? With eggs?

Benjamin Rodriguez2 said:To put it simply, socialism was a dream for people who just wanted to sit tight and do nothing, but an absolute nightmare for those high-energy types hungry for profit, career growth, and new skills... They basically had to find creative loopholes just to channel their drive into something useful. Capitalism works in the exact opposite way..

That is such a brilliant way to frame it! 👍

What I think doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, does it? What actually matters is what your wife thinks after watching you churn through 11,000 posts! Honestly, has she even stayed in the room while you were typing, or did she make a run for it halfway through?

It’s a holiday here today! You know what that means—it is officially time to fire up the grill, crack open some cold beers, and get the whole crew together. Is there anything better than a perfect summer afternoon like this? I don't think so! 👋

Honestly? I don't think that's nearly enough. At this rate, I might just spend my entire weekend lining the whole house with lead shielding. You can never be too careful, right? 😵

I’m actually hiding from the NSA right now! Honestly, I'm too terrified to even pick up the phone. I don't even touch my email anymore. I've even gone as far as wrapping my head in aluminum foil just to make sure they can't read my thoughts!

Gary Kelly8 said:Just going a bit off-topic here, mistyraven6—do you feel more fearful living in the States than you did back home? You know, regarding general safety, your quality of life, or just the general vibe?
And honestly, do you think it’s actually realistic for someone with your mindset and skillset to achieve the same level of success in America as you have here?

Fear? Honestly, I don't feel afraid at all. In fact, quite the opposite! What exactly would there be to fear? Failure? Starvation?
Could I replicate my success back home? Most likely, yes.

Just a moment ago, the group was practically moved to tears talking about how tough things are abroad, yet the second they hear someone in the States actually owns a home, drives a nice car, and has a stable career, suddenly everyone has a grievance! 😉

Personally, life here in the US has been absolutely fantastic—my job, my career path, the income, the real estate, my lifestyle, health, food, vacations, friends... everything has honestly exceeded what I ever expected when I first arrived.

And you know, it’s actually really heartening to hear from those of you who are doing well back home in America. It truly warms my heart to hear that there are people out there living decent lives and enjoying the ability to afford whatever they desire.

Joey said:And let's talk about capitalism—it’s honestly fantastic. You put in the work, you stack your cash, and then you spend it. If you think you've made it big and want to live the high life, you start your own company, and if things go well, you're out there cruising on a yacht, flying private, and rolling in a Lincoln limousine. If capitalism wasn't working, socialism wouldn't have failed so spectacularly. Besides, people would be fleeing the US for Cuba, not the other way around!

Honestly, I would give anything for even a tiny chance at living in the same universe as Keanu Reeves.
