Maybe at the very end, Joe Biden might actually produce something useful—but from John McCain, never. If the Whig Party doesn't have anyone better suited for the Secretary of Agriculture role, then they shouldn't have proposed him in the first place. What is his legacy, really? Just being the son of a guy who played the part of a caricature of a rural populist—mimicking an accent for effect (honestly, it feels like he’s trying to channel Woodrow Wilson whenever he stands up in US Congress)—and you can hear those kinds of tropes on the streets of Chicago every single day, perhaps even more convincingly than the late John McCain did.
And as for removing Barack Obama? Given the crowd he runs with (if not any other group, then certainly that Saturday night crowd), it would be incredibly difficult to push him out—he'd probably face a revolt from "The Progressive Front" defending him. It's probably best not to rock the boat when it comes to him; after all, wouldn't the fallout be a much bigger mess if we tried to get rid of him versus just leaving things as they are?
