I honestly think the Israeli national anthem is one of the most moving pieces out there. I remember feeling this incredible emotional surge during that USA vs. Israel game—it was just intense. 🙂

As far as other anthems go, I’ve always had a soft spot for the German, Russian, French, Spanish, and British ones. They just hit different.

To be blunt, our own anthem isn't exactly catchy or melodic... I guess I can't help but wish we had gone with something more like this instead:

It's basically that same melody, just updated to actually fit the modern era and how we speak today.

As for moving that thread about the Election Law, it’s sitting on the main Politics page because Election Law is inherently a political issue. It’s also listed in the Elections PDF just to prevent people from unnecessarily opening duplicate threads.

You're right regarding the general forum poll; the old one is locked, and the new one (yours) is currently live.

The real headache with these polls is that some users end up voting in multiple districts because, I guess, the forum doesn't have any way to restrict that. On top of that, the polls only list the names of the first candidates on the ballot... but most people are actually voting for the parties. For example, if someone wanted to vote for the Libertarian Party in their district, they’d probably have to spend way too much time Googling just to figure out which candidate represents them, since everyone in that party besides the lead guy is basically anonymous.

Wouldn't it be more efficient to just lock this down and instead add polls featuring full party lists to the top topics?

Is anyone actually moderating this subforum? 🤷 It’s cluttered with Gallup polls broken down by voting districts where nobody even participates. On top of that, why hasn't the general party popularity poll been locked? It’s nearly a year old, which makes the data completely irrelevant... so now we're just stuck with two identical polls sitting there. 🙂 I also wanted to ask why the "What kind of Election Law do we need" thread is still marked as moved. That tag has been hanging there for months now. 🤷

Hey 🙂

I've been dealing with this one annoying issue for about a week now.... Basically, almost every single time I try to play a video for the first time in any player—whether it's Windows Media Player, VLC, or Real—my whole system just stutters and freezes up for a bit. After maybe 15 or 20 seconds, my computer gives me a notification saying the drivers have recovered... and then everything goes back to working normally. But this constant freezing right at the start is honestly starting to get on my nerves 😢 Does anyone happen to know how I can fix this? I realize it isn't some massive catastrophe, but I'd still really prefer if it stopped happening 😁
