Patrick Chase4 said:Hey everyone. Here’s the situation: I’m planning on installing Windows 7 using the penultimate build—specifically the one where you can actually enable the new taskbar and superbar via a patch. My current hardware setup consists of a Core 2 duo T2400 running at 1.83 GHz on a laptop, integrated graphics, and 2 GB of 667 MHz RAM. The machine is an HP 530.
Will Windows 7 run smoothly on this specific configuration given that I don't have a dedicated graphics card? I've heard that all applications should function normally... and that Windows is quite impressive...
Also, will I be able to upgrade easily once the subsequent builds are released?
How exactly do I access that sidebar and superbar?
I just downloaded Windows 7 build 7000, but those features aren't showing up for me. How am I supposed to configure that?
Opera is running fine, and the latest MSN Messenger is working perfectly for now. Tomorrow, I'll get Microsoft Office 2007 installed...

Which beta did you end up downloading? I grabbed mine yesterday, and I’m thinking about moving it over to my older rig since it doesn't seem to eat through RAM quite as aggressively as Vista does... Are you seeing any issues with drivers? Any headaches at all?
I stick strictly to the VLC media player. It’s the only one I trust, and honestly, it hasn't let me down once... it just works better than everything else out there. The interface is straightforward, and getting subtitles synced up is actually effortless...

I mean, we really do need to stay sharp if we want to get anything done, but having a little refreshment like this during the workday makes all the difference. That’s why... thanks for the drink, it was truly a pleasure. Best regards... 👍
Forgive me for stepping off topic, but I find myself compelled to ask... where exactly do you work?
We can always move this to private messages if that's easier. I'm interested in discussing this further... 😉
wiredlynx33 said:See? There’s always a way to fix things, if you look hard enough... The thing is, I don't touch alcohol anymore—especially not beer—so even just some soda would be plenty fine. 😉
Edward Kelly85 said:It really ought to be straightforward and should work right out of the box: I'm not sure if you've actually tested this yet, but on my end, CATIA V5 R16 behaves exactly like this on every machine I've used... If your mouse has a scroll wheel, just click the wheel down along with the left mouse button, and you can rotate the part in 3D space. If you hold the wheel down and the right mouse button simultaneously while moving the mouse up or down, you get your zoom in and out functionality...
So that's the deal, give it a shot and let me know if it works for you...
That’s exactly it—I understand the logic behind it perfectly, but for some reason, it simply isn't working on my setup. It's clearly an issue with the mouse, or perhaps some misconfigured setting within CATIA itself, or maybe even the hardware driver...
Even though I am fully aware that CATIA is supposed to be configured this way by default...
EDIT:
wiredlynx33, thanks a million, it works! 👍👍 Drinks are on me!
Don't give me that nonsense about there not being a single soul here who actually knows their way around CATIA... I need to get this configured immediately, and frankly, I'm struggling to make any real progress with the drafting...
wiredlynx33 said:I ran into this exact issue when I picked up a new mouse, so I just adjusted everything within the hardware settings themselves rather than messing with the software configuration...
I'm using a Logitech MX600, but there isn't a single setting available in its native configuration, at least none that I could find after a thorough check.
Even after installing the dedicated driver software, I’ve come up empty handed once again...
The solution has to be buried somewhere deep within the program itself... 🤷
I'm currently working in CATIA V5 R16—trying to model out my house in 3D using actual measurements and all that—but for some reason, my mouse zoom and pan functions aren't behaving... I distinctly remember having these mapped perfectly back when I was using R13, but now I'm stuck manually clicking through various options just to rotate, zoom, or pan the model. It used to be seamless with the mouse, which made the whole process significantly faster...
I have combed through every setting and configuration available, but I can't find where this adjustment is hidden.
If anyone happens to be knowledgeable enough to walk me through this, I would truly appreciate the help... 🙂

That’s why people follow the leaders. If that’s an issue—and clearly, it is—then it’s on the moderators to post a notice or pin a sticky thread warning everyone about it. And if they keep starting new threads regardless, then there should be actual sanctions, like issuing warnings or bans.
It seems pointless to me too, but what can you really do...
Morgan Rodriguez57, what you said is fine in principle, but it really doesn't belong here in the hazelnut subforum. The Complaint and Appeal section is where those kinds of discussions should be happening... 😉
Jeffrey Walker3 said:I seriously want to put a massive disclaimer at the very top of any women's health section or pill info page just stating that the protection actually lasts through those 7 days of the break! 🤣 People seem to be asking about this constantly, it's like every other day! 😁
If they actually wrote it down somewhere, people wouldn't be asking...
For God's sake, they just don't include that in the contraception overview.
Better to ask than to end up raising a baby by mistake, right? 😳🤷
Thanks for the replies...
So, she’s still protected even after she stops taking them for the week? Just looking for absolute confirmation 🤣
Alright folks, I could use a little help here😬 regarding some information...
Don't go thinking I'm some sort of idiot just yet, but... I'm curious about something😁 I've never actually been with a woman who uses oral contraceptives, so I'm trying to wrap my head around how the mechanics actually work. I know the deal involves taking 21 pills and that's basically it, but there's one specific detail that doesn't seem to be clearly explained anywhere, and I'd prefer to be certain...
For instance:
Suppose a woman starts taking the pill for the first time. She gets her period, but instead of starting on day one, she waits until the third day... she mentions needing to use backup protection for the first week. So, if her period started on Sunday and she took the first pill on Tuesday, would she be clear to go without a condom by the following Tuesday (finishing inside)? And once she finishes the entire pack, is she expected to get her period within two to four days after that last pill, or will it be slightly delayed because she started the cycle later than usual? 🙂
Beyond all those details, there is the main question that really matters to me... Once she finishes the last pill, she enters that break where she's supposed to have her period. During this interval when she isn't actually taking any pills, is she still fully protected, or does she need to rely on extra physical protection during those days? 🙂
Please don't take offense, I'm just doing my due diligence... it's better to be informed than to live in total ignorance, wouldn't you agree? 😉
Jerry Walker79 said:So what you're really saying is you want her boobs to grow, huh? 😉
Look, regarding that, if they’re going to grow at all, she’ll probably notice it within that very first month. And honestly, she could feel other symptoms almost immediately during those first four weeks—stuff like bloating, headaches, nausea, feeling swollen, and all that jazz.
No, it’s not about her breasts or whatever... I was just asking generally...
So, basically, any potential side effects could be felt within that first month...
I find myself wondering... if a woman begins her first month on oral contraceptives... let’s take Yasmin as our example. How much time actually needs to pass before potential side effects begin to surface? Things like weight gain, breast tenderness, or other physiological shifts...

And why should my desire to update my handle be any of your business? You really shouldn't be sticking your nose where it doesn't belong. Maybe go pick up a book or something; I believe the school year has already started...😉
