I’m hovering right around that same spot. I went in for a checkup a few months back, though who knows what my levels look like today.

The doctors basically told me I just need to keep an eye on it, but they aren't sweating it unless the numbers start climbing toward those scary levels—like hitting 150 or 200+.

Sophia Patel8 said:Look, everyone just take a breath for a second. This isn't about hating soccer as a sport. Personally, I think soccer is pretty interesting and I actually enjoy playing it myself. But the issue is exactly what I mentioned: the media gives soccer way more attention than any other sport, and we all know how that plays out—from massive player buyouts and match-fixing scandals to clubs drowning in debt, not to mention the rest of it. The real problem is that you can find an ad on TV for absolutely anything—perfume, credit cards, holidays, or even funeral services—and they'll somehow shoehorn soccer and the World Cup hype into it.
So tell me, does that make any sense to you? Look, I’m not against soccer as a game, but this consumerist society is literally trying to play us for fools. And don't even get me started on the crowds of young people who are willing to tear an entire city apart just to prove their club is the best in the world. Sorry, but that isn't sports; that's just pure savagery.

Man, you are jumping all over the place. Forget the hooligans and the savagery for a minute. You opened a thread titled "let's boycott soccer" with a main "reform plan" that focuses on soccer being overhyped by the media and among fans and general sports followers.

What's this about hooligans now? Drop that. What are you actually getting at here? The fact that there's soccer everywhere on TV and that every brand is pushing tickets or using soccer to market their products is perfectly understandable. They have stuff to sell, and those products need to move. Why wouldn't they make a soccer-themed commercial? What's the big deal? What's actually getting under your skin?

Boycott soccer on TV? Boycott the brands tied to the World Cup craze? Give me a break. What kind of call to action is that? You're foaming at the mouth like Michel Salgado stole your lunch or some crap. Your little boycott can go straight to hell. 😁😬

Who actually told you that trophy counts are the only thing that matters? What about those 25,000 die-hards filling up the stands at St Pauli? Or the 50,000 screaming fans down in Naples? And don't even get me started on the Schalke faithful—they’ve been knocking on the door of glory for years now, always getting so close, yet somehow everyone just looks the other way when they struggle.

What about the supporters of Crewe, Nottingham Forest, or QPR?

Does their loyalty only count if there's silverware to show for it?

Look, trophies are the bottom line in any sport, period. Soccer included. Without hardware, you’re basically nothing. You're just playing games for nothing.

It's because it's more popular than anything else out there. Seriously, ask yourself why. Just look at the numbers and figure it out. 😉

We’re talking about tactics, not some kind of "transcendental greatness."

I only used Janica as an example; there’s a whole heap of others. I literally just heard that Ljubičić is sitting at number three on the latest rankings👋 (now *that* is tennis—there’s actually something to write about when you consider how many tournaments they play in a year) or look at yesterday, where guys like Smith and Miller became club champions in the US, or Vujičić getting picked for the All-American five👍. None of that is ever going to get the credit it deserves.

Oh, they will. You just think they won't.

and you can't tell me there needs to be this much info even during the off-season (because what am I supposed to do, poor girl, if I don't know whether Coach Miller gained weight or some other nonsense?)

The winter break in the States lasts way longer than it does in the rest of the world.

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's "a million times more valuable," but let's be real—it's definitely more attractive and gets way more coverage in the media.

nimblemarlin17 said:Look, you could write six whole pages about soccer. There are endless clubs, players, matches, and leagues. Janica is just one person, and her career spans maybe thirty years or so. The competitors stay basically the same, and the sport itself isn't some deep philosophy—it's just "get through a set of gates as fast as possible." You aren't going to find enough tactical depth or constant drama to fill six pages every single day about skiing. It’s just not what we have here. Take Orlando, for example; they have a local version of the sports news where literally 20 out of 25 pages are dedicated to Valencia F. C. Imagine how much coverage they get in Madrid or Barcelona...

I'm with you. You see the exact same thing in England, where the local papers—and even the national ones—are almost entirely obsessed with soccer. I don't get why people act surprised by it. Personally, I'm a huge basketball fan, but it never crossed my mind to go obsessively follow State Farm's sponsorships or whatever. It's just how it is. Sure, there's plenty of bad soccer out there, but at this point, it's evolved into something way bigger than just a simple athletic competition.

Volleyball, water polo, handball... it's hard to find anything significant there besides whoever's holding the trophy or the latest score. Maybe it isn't exactly fair, but honestly, that's just the reality of it. Nothing's changing.

I honestly don't get why the OP is so worked up about soccer. If he’s genuinely obsessed with boycotting guys who rake in obscene amounts of cash without having an impressive IQ or actually saving lives, then fine, man—go ahead and boycott.

But if we're playing that game, just go boycott Hollywood movies too, since Cameron Diaz is a total airhead herself. Boycott MTV as well, considering Michael Jackson was a predator and you've got 17-year-old girls signing multi-million dollar deals to pose in tight leggings for Pepsi.

Take LeBron James, for example. Before he even played a single Minuta in the NBA—he was basically just a high school kid under 18—he already had $100 million sitting in his pocket from Nike, thanks to some ten-year deal if I recall correctly.

Soccer isn't any different. Ronaldinho pulls in something like $160,000 a week, and the players over at Chelsea FC, AC Milan, Manchester United, or Juventus are in the exact same boat... some more, some less.

But hey, if it bothers you that much, why don't you go watch some local high school ball in the Appalach Mountains against some kids from Gomirje? Those guys play for a bag of peanuts and maybe a ride to whatever field they call a stadium. And look, RADE does his actual job and only plays soccer on the weekends, training a couple of times a week.

If this massive commercialization of soccer—which has become way more than just simple entertainment—really bugs you that much... Look, I wouldn't say it's on the level of religion or "more important than life," but it definitely holds a top-tier spot in people's lives. To quote Ćiro, it's basically a case of being "permanently infected."

So, the guy gave you solid advice: go buy a Ford, grab some Wilkinson, and pick up a paddle. Actually, grab two. Get in a boat and start rowing. Eventually, you'll get bored, and maybe then you'll realize what a stupid thread you started.

you still don't get it 😁

Even after being circumcised, there’s still skin there, just less of it. You can't pull it all the way back over the head anymore, but the skin is still present. That’s the whole point. Nuff said. ☕

Gregory Turner71 said:Look... the sensation is weaker because the head is unprotected and constantly exposed to physical friction, so the skin there thickens up.

I’ve heard masturbation is a bit harder, but still doable. Circumcised guys usually need to use lube.

Honestly, I haven't heard this much stupidity in one thread before. 😁

The sensation isn't "weaker"—if anything, it can actually be better because since the head is less sensitive, circumcised guys can often last longer. 🙂 But seriously, I'm not messing around here. 🙂

By the way, why on earth would you need artificial lubrication?

Masturbating isn't difficult at all, so how are you people even imagining a circumcised dick? 😁
Just a completely taut surface with zero extra skin?

To answer the guy: I had the procedure done when I was around 12 or 13. Recovery took a few weeks, though it takes some time for everything to adjust to the new normal.

It's a bit rough at first—every time you have to pee, it feels like you're trying to climb a massive mountain in the Rockies, and yeah, there's pain. It's surgery, after all; recovery isn't going to be painless. But once everything heals and settles into place, there are absolutely no issues.

nimblemarlin17 said:What’s the actual track record here? With just FC Porto and without a single massive superstar on the roster, he managed to grab the UEFA Cup and the Champions League in two back-to-back years. Then, after what felt like forever, Chelsea finally brought home the trophy. And this year? He hasn't missed a beat.

I mean, credit where credit is due, but he still has a mountain to climb before anyone puts him in the same conversation as legends like Alex Ferguson or Fabio Capello.

You can't take two or three good seasons and act like they carry the weight of twenty years at the top.

Is he the best manager right now? It's a tough call. You've still got guys like Fabio Capello, José Mourinho, and Rafael Benítez in that elite tier.
