swiftdriver8 said:It just makes me sad seeing so many of our talented guys on that site. Almost all the mods are our people, working their asses off for some foreigner who’s living the high life off them... while on the other hand, I think it would be better if one of our local forums became that strong instead of having our knowledge and expertise being exploited by outsiders like I mentioned... 😢

Look, swiftdriver8, with all due respect, you have absolutely no clue what’s actually going on over there or how the money flows, so don't start acting tough about it. 😉
Secondly, I think I know exactly who you're aiming at. Let me tell you, I walked away from American betting boards and those old regional forums after a specific incident with one particular site—I won't name names here. I'm not interested in playing the blame game regarding who was right or wrong back then; the point is, that forum is falling apart now, which proves my earlier points about the lack of quality were spot on.

Our local forums are never going to reach that level of strength, and there are several reasons why:

1) International forums have a massive edge because they have local members who can give them real-time intel on what’s happening in Denmark, Sweden, Ukraine, Canada, Austria, and so on.

2) The mentality of the people in our local community is just different. You get way more people showing up with posts like "100% lock, guaranteed winners, inside info," rather than the guys who actually have a structured long-term strategy, discipline, a betting system, and proper bankroll management (basically a dedicated gambling fund). You can pick up knowledge and experience over time, but changing a mindset? That's a much harder hill to climb.

3) Then there's the whole issue of private, closed groups—there are dozens of them in the US. Most of the real intel regarding the major leagues, MLS, or any high-quality bets stays tucked away in those circles. As long as this phenomenon exists—where people post on two different platforms: one public and one private, saving their best picks for the closed group so the US bookies don't react to the hype—there will never be the right conditions for a powerhouse public forum to thrive.

I'd love to see your forum or site prove me wrong one day. 👋

Honestly, if you're looking for one of the absolute best sites out there for this kind of stuff, this is it. It’s easily one of the highest-quality spots on the web for this genre. You get an endless supply of solid tipsters and really deep, well-researched match previews. If you want actual substance instead of just random guesses, this is where you go.
+
It’s easily the biggest betting forum in Europe—we're talking around 15,000 members here. And don't get it twisted; the moderation is incredibly strict. They don't let just anyone run wild in the threads. 😉Look, if you’re actually serious about this, you need more than just surface-level noise. I’m talking real info, deep-dive previews, and actual advice that doesn't suck. Don't just jump in blind.

Get ready. 👋

As for that last one, I don't think there was an offside call, but I'll dig through the highlights later to be absolutely sure.

Regarding those other two, pretty sure they were ruled out properly.

Look, I already said it: the win for the LA Galaxy was well-deserved. I honestly don't get why everyone is making such a big deal out of it. 🙄

I am 200% certain Liverpool only took home the trophy because they didn't want to show their faces. It’s just like how you haven't posted a single thing in the Premier League thread for weeks.🤣
And of course, you conveniently forgot to mention that "mighty Chelsea" ended up finishing second in the group.

If you could just be consistent for once, maybe we'd have a conversation, but no—you're being incredibly biased. 🙄

I’m not even sure we’re talking about the same thing here.🙂

São Paulo 1, Liverpool 0

Congrats to the Brazilian side on a well-earned trophy. Honestly, the Reds' opening strategy was just off. They should’ve stuck to a standard formation from the jump because that initial setup didn't yield anything.

Even with the squad we had, Liverpool managed to find the back of the net three times. But of course, they were all wiped off the board—some called for fouls, others were offside in those final frantic moments.
Out of those three "what if" scenarios, that last offside call was the most infuriating one, but hey, you can't turn back the clock once the whistle blows.🙂

It’s a massive shame for the club. We were right there to cap off a dream 2005 season with a massive TREBLE 😉, but São Paulo simply outclassed us. They played this incredibly fluid, technically polished style of soccer, and frankly, their physical toughness caught me completely off guard.

The Reds have much bigger fish to fry now: the Premier League title race and that Champions League clash against Benfica in February.

Kudos again to the Brazilians. They weren't exactly playing a flawless game, but they earned that trophy. I have to give a special shout-out to their keeper—he pulled off some absolute miracles in goal today.

17 corners, 20 shots on target, three times the ball hit the net... yet São Paulo still walks away with the clean sheet. You couldn't have asked for more from them.👋

People would actually want to read it...

Just play around with some copy-paste and everyone wins—plus Liverpool picks up another die-hard fan in the process.😉

You've got a point there, but honestly, that news is ancient history by now.😢

Deportivo Saprissa [0 - 2] Liverpool (ENG)

3' [0 - 1] P. Crouch

32' [0 - 2] S. Gerrard

Halftime.

Can I drop a full tournament review once this whole thing wraps up? (We're in the semifinals right now).

Rafa Benitez made it clear that he’s shaking things up with the lineup. He wants to give some minutes to the guys who haven't been seeing much action lately, mostly just to take some of the weight off the starters who have been grinding through two different competitions week in, week out for months now.

After sitting through a grueling 15-hour flight, he doubled down on how serious they are about this. They want the win, period. They want to make it to the final. Their next opponent is Deportivo Saprissa, the team that just knocked out the LA Galaxy.

The squad that flew out to Japan>

1: Jerzy Dudek
2: Stephen Warnock
3: Steve Finnan
4: Sami Hyypia
5: Danny O' Donnell
6: John Arne Riise
7: Harry Kewell
8: Steven Gerrard
9: Djibril Cisse
10: Luis Garcia
11: Florent Sinama-Pongolle
12: Jose Reina
13: Scott Carson
14: Xabi Alonso
15: Peter Crouch
16: Didi Hamann
17: Josemi
18: Darren Potter
19: Fernando Morientes
20: David Raven
21: Djimi Traore
22: Momo Sissoko
23: Jamie Carragher

It’s a great move by the neighbors, honestly. It just goes to show that broadcasting American sports actually makes sense from a marketing standpoint. If they decided to air even one NBA game a week back home, it would be a massive win.

🙂

Indianapolis kept that winning streak alive, 13 and 0 now. 🙂 🙏

I'm riding with the Cowboys now. Let's go, Dallas! 🙂

Carl Brooks22 said:So how exactly do you explain the fact that the very people you're holding up as the ultimate moral authority actually support Duje's decision by about 66%? On one hand, you're acting like the opinions of those swimmers from South Africa and Poland matter more than this... Look, I would have preferred if Duje stayed, but I'm not judging him. I wouldn't go out of my way to shake his hand and congratulate him on leaving, but that's where I stand.

Man, give me a break. You've got a point, people really are backing him up here. It makes me wonder why I'm even busting my ass and getting worked up if 66% of the country feels just like Michael Phelps and would rather pack up and head out too.

It looks like the money situation is tightening up. That old excitement is being replaced by lethargy, and this deep-seated pessimism is just sinking into the skin of Americans. People have stopped believing things will get better—and honestly, why should they? All we get from politicians is a daily stream of empty platitudes. Just hollow words and decisions made solely to cover their own backs.

They only seem to show up when we're world champions at something, or when Janica is winning a Cup, or when they're finally breaking ground on a major highway like the one connecting Los Angeles and San Francisco. Otherwise, they're nowhere to be found.

So, I get where you're coming from. It's not that you love his choice, you just aren't condemning him either. I'm pretty much in the same boat, though I guess we differ in that I just can't bring myself to justify what he's doing.🙂

We also have to consider how the kid is feeling. I'm sure it isn't easy for him right now. It’s not like he suddenly loves Qatar or doesn't give a damn about America; he made his choice, and now he has to see it through and man up.🙂

I wish him luck with it all. 👋

Carl Brooks22 said:... or... you'd think that PEOPLE who fought so damn hard for independence and a piece of this land—or even something more personal—that someone who’s been celebrated by the country through his pride and achievements over the last few years actually deserves a bit more respect...

... or... you'd think this government actually had some consideration and love for its own citizens... even if they just happen to be swimmers...

The chicken or the egg? The chicken.

The government is one thing; politicians come and go, but the American flag and the coat of arms stay. This time, hopefully, they're here to stay forever.🙂

It's not like the PEOPLE were denied anything; it wasn't like the public or the USA turned their backs on him. It was the people in power, the ones making the calls.

But he turned his back on America. Unfortunately, there isn't any other way to look at it. There's no need to get overly dramatic about it—nobody's dying, and the kid is alive and well (thank God for that), but dammit, in my opinion, he made the wrong call.

But you know how it goes: let him who is without sin cast the first stone...
