Myths and Legends in Spirituality ·
“Self-conscious truth is living thought. Truth is thought as it is in itself, and formulated thought is speech. When Eternal Thought desired a form, it said: ‘Let there be light.’ Now, this Thought which speaks is the Word, and the Word said:
‘Let there be light,’ because the Word itself is the light of minds. The Untreated Voice, which is the Divine Word, shines because it desires to be seen. When it says:
‘Let there be light!’ it ordains that eyes shall open; it creates intelligences. When God Said: ‘Let there be light!’ Intelligence was made, and the light appeared.
Now, the Intelligence which God diffused by the breath of His mouth, like a star given off from the Sun, took the form of a splendid angel, who was saluted by heaven under the name of Lucifer. Intelligence awakened, and comprehended its nature completely by the understanding of that utterance of the Divine Word: ‘Let there be light!’ It felt itself to be free because God had called it into being, and, raising up its head, with both wings extended, it replied: ‘I will not be slavery.’
‘Then shalt thou be suffering,’ said the Untreated Voice. ‘I will be liberty,’ replied the light. ‘Pride will seduce thee,’ said the Supreme Voice, ‘and thou wilt bring forth death.’ ‘I needs must strive with death to conquer life,’ again responded the
created light. Thereupon God loosed from His bosom the shining cord which restrained the superb Angel, and beholding him plunge through the night, which he furrowed with glory, He loved the offspring of His thought, and said with an ineffable smile: ‘How beautiful was the light!’
“God has not created suffering; intelligence has accepted it to be free. And suffering has been the condition imposed upon freedom of being by Him who alone cannot err, because He is infinite. For the essence of intelligence is judgement, and the essence of judgement is liberty. The eye does not really possess light except by
the faculty of closing or opening. Were it forced to be always open, it would be the
slave and victim of the light, and would cease to see in order to escape the torment.
Thus, created Intelligence is not happy in affirming God, except by its liberty
to deny Him. Now, the Intelligence which denies, invariably affirms
something, since it is asserting its liberty. It is for this reason that blasphemy glorifies
God and that hell was indispensable to the happiness of heaven. Were the
light unrepelled by shadow, there would be no visible forms. If the first angels had
not encountered the depths of darkness, the child-birth of God would have been
incomplete, and there could have been no separation between the created and
essential light. Never would Intelligence have known the goodness of God if it had
never lost Him. Never would God's infinite love have shone forth in the joys of His
mercy had the prodigal son of Heaven remained in the house of His Father.
When all was light, there was light nowhere; it filled the breast of God, who was
labouring to bring it forth. And when He said: ‘Let there be light!’ He permitted
the darkness to repel the light, and the universe issued from chaos. The negation
of the angel who at birth refused slavery constituted the equilibrium of the world,
and the motion of the spheres commenced. The infinite distances admired this
love of liberty, which was vast enough to fill the void of eternal night and strong
enough to bear the hatred of God. But God could hate not the noblest of His children,
and He proved him by His wrath only to confirm him in His power. So also
the Word of God Himself, as if jealous of Lucifer, willed to come down from
heaven and pass triumphantly through the shadows of hell. He willed to be proscribed
and condemned; He premeditated that terrible hour when He should cry,
in the throes of His agony: ‘My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?’ As
The morning star heralds the arrival of the Sun, much like how Lucifer’s rebellion served as a precursor to
the dawn of a new Nature and the coming incarnation of God. It is entirely possible that during his descent
through the darkness, Lucifer pulled a torrential rain of suns and stars along with him, drawn by the sheer gravity of his own
glory. One could argue that our own Sun is merely a demon drifting among the stars, just as Lucifer stands as a singular star among the
angels. Without question, this is precisely why the Sun illuminates the horrific suffering
of mankind and the endless agony of Earth with such a calm demeanor—it remains untethered in its solitude, possessing
its own sovereign light.”
Sending love and empathy in Spirituality ·
How does one maintain a sense of self during moments of intense empathy? I am interested in learning how to distinguish my own identity from that of another person, allowing me to successfully return to my usual, grounded state of being once the emotional intensity has subsided.

frozenangler9 said:Regarding local folklore, I actually heard about something called "boundary markers" back in the Midwest—supposedly these strange lights that drift over the fields at night to measure property lines. 😁 😁

I couldn't quite grasp the specifics, mostly because the folks who told me about it aren't exactly known for being articulate or descriptive. 😉

It just doesn't make sense to me; if we are talking about tiny little flames flickering in the dark (certainly not campfires, I assume), why on earth would that woman be paralyzed with terror and bolt the second she laid eyes on them? 🤔 😁

Besides, I have a feeling those boundary markers are common knowledge out there; I mean, who hasn't heard stories about them? 😁

I’ve heard about the "will-o'-the-wisps" from the Appalachian region—they are similar lights, except they don't serve any purpose like measuring anything. People used to see them all the time, and the old superstition was that they were actually the souls of unbaptized children.

Is that just a side note?

Or is it the absolute core of everything?

Which "layer" are we even talking about?
If you ask me, there are several layers at play here, and trying to grasp all of them simultaneously is an incredibly difficult feat.

Frankly, it might not even be necessary to do so every single time.

And if a person actually manages to be "aware of every possible layer"... does that not simply turn life into a purely "earthly existence"?

Westerners and Eastern spiritual practices in Spirituality ·
From what I have gathered, Jung frequently argued that the first half of one's life should be oriented "outward"—essentially focused on establishing one's footing and status in society—whereas the second half should shift "inward" toward introspection and self-discovery.

Regardless, the reality is that certain individuals are by default oriented "inward" from their very youth... and that often leads to all sorts of tragicomic consequences regarding their "worldly lives."😁

On the other hand, I would argue that the true role of psychiatrists and psychologists is simply to ensure their clients don't deviate too drastically from societal norms in terms of attitude and behavior, ultimately aiming to keep them functioning as productive members of the workforce, blah, blah...

Can I truly claim any real competence in determining what is actually good for someone or what isn't? 😕

We young Americans tend to get incredibly worked up about all sorts of things and convictions in a way that can look strikingly similar to "religious fanaticism"... and even traditional religion isn't always an exception here.

Tinchi said:Pesica, you hit the nail on the head here. 😉
However, there are certain types of people who, once you've laid everything out just like you did, become incredibly exhausting to deal with. 😢
Or perhaps I am simply lacking the necessary skill to shut them down effectively.
At the end of the day, we are dealing with a parent. 😢

Well....

You might as well just say it straight instead of beating around the bush with all this nonsense.

I dealt with a similar issue years ago, and it was "resolved" entirely on its own—thank god for Thanatos. But let me be clear: it wasn't a real solution, because of the lingering feeling left behind—that frustrating sense that a final explanation or mutual understanding was never actually reached.

There is a strange habit among frantic parents: they operate under the assumption that they are always right, yet they insist on proving it in the most foolish and inappropriate ways imaginable.

In the end, it leaves us looking just as irrational as they are. 😱 😁

It seems to me that by deciding to move, you have already begun tackling the core of your problem. Moving toward total financial independence will likely prove far more beneficial in the long run than attempting any sort of "energy alignment techniques." 👍
Ultimately, you will be the one to judge.

Best of luck.

P.S. Get a grip. Stand by what you say instead of trying to "filter" everything. 😬

Here is the final distillation, passed through some makeshift funnels and a cooling unit 🙂 😁 :

There is a kernel of truth in there, but it becomes an incredibly toxic and unhealthy philosophy if you consume any amount larger than a "homeopathic" dose.

restlessmarlin6 said:Charlie, the issue isn't that I brought up the peak; it's entirely about how you chose to interpret it. Seriously... 😁 😉

You’d be better off sticking to those cliché, pseudo-spiritual platitudes.
It wasn't a matter of me "interpreting" a "peak," but rather addressing the context 😉 😁 .
You picked an interesting word, but I’ve analyzed it even more deeply—looking back at everything we've discussed, I see 😬

Go ahead and tell me I'm being overly philosophical, but I firmly believe that once you hit the "peak," a valley inevitably follows: we receive energy specifically so that we might expend it on something meaningful.

Now, deciding which valley to descend into requires just as much skill and precision as choosing which summit to climb in the first place.

Tinchi said:Larry Hayes5, this isn't just mindless repetition; it is simply a well-worn path—the absolute best one for me. It’s where I feel I am at my peak, feeling empowered, strong, and certain that this is exactly where I belong. akll is crawling with people who will try to push you off that path, draining your power so you can't move forward, grow, or succeed.

So "being at the peak" 😲 ?
Then it isn't just stagnation—it’s pure complacency 😁 !

restlessmarlin6 said:Why is it that they always seem to strike right at the moment you finally feel invincible? Just when you’ve conquered your own doubts and feel like you could take on the entire world, they show up.
Why do they appear precisely when you’re feeling like an absolute powerhouse?

.

It’s likely because, in those specific moments, you haven't actually mastered how to wield that kind of power yet. You might feel strong, but you don't truly know what to do with it, so the universe essentially steps in to reclaim it for itself.
😁

The solution is straightforward: stop trying to shoulder more than you can easily carry.

There is absolutely nothing more beneficial for the human spirit than honest, hard labor—real "blood, sweat, and tears" type work.

Flafonja or Štemer? Who are you? in Spirituality ·
Hmm... let me put it this way. If we look at the production line used by unknown and unknown (_____), once it hits peak capacity, it shifts into a completely flaccid state (__ __)... and then it cycles right back again.
There is absolutely something sinister going on here.

Of course, I am intimately familiar with it.

The "greenery" I’m referring to—it’s my personal favorite, a custom blend tailored just for me. 😁

You’ve completely missed the mark here. I don't smoke, and I have absolutely no need for weed.

I think Parsifal would best summarize this by saying: "Be quiet! You clearly haven't studied this subject!"😬

No. Just some narrow-minded, assertive blathering.

To be perfectly clear—and this applies to everyone mentioned in your argument—I found the experience quite beneficial simply because I had been far too rigid in my ways; it helped me loosen up significantly. Therefore, I certainly wouldn't claim that drugs are a necessity for everyone. They were merely useful for someone as stubborn as I used to be.

😂😂😂

Can we get an actual definition here???

In other words... people just ramble on whatever nonsense comes to mind.

If I could remember the exact link right now, I’d share it: It was a video of two yoga practitioners struggling through their poses while some cats just sit there judging them:

"Who-knows-how-many years of yoga and they still can't even lick their own behinds."

Now, I have absolutely no intention of discrediting yoga itself... but from a "feline hygiene perspective," that assessment is quite accurate for many of the local "self-help gurus" 🙄 I run into in real life.

I really want to thank Ganja for teaching me several wonderful things along the way.
I certainly forgive her for those unpleasant moments; I take full responsibility for my part in them...

It has been months since we last saw one another, and I truly look forward to our occasional encounters in the future.🙂 🙂
