Same here—I finally managed to get the payment through around 10:00 PM. When I tried earlier, around 8:20 PM, it was rejected due to "insufficient funds." Apparently, they had to sort out the backend issues first...
Let’s just hope we don't run into any more hiccups.
So, did you try seeing if you could actually do anything with that money?
It says $55 (which means $44—exactly what I figured I should have by now, especially after that eBay refund hit my account $11))
BUT—get this—I tried buying an item for $23 on eBay and it kicked me out, acting like I don't even have enough funds in my account... I mean, what's the point of displaying a balance like that if they won't let me touch (my own!) cash? 😠
Logging into my online banking was actually fine—no issues getting past the login screen at all.
The only hiccup was when they completely took the app offline for a while. Apparently, they realized it was glitching out and were scrambling to fix it.
Anyway, I swung by the Chase branch around noon today to figure out why my balance suddenly dropped to $50. Just to be clear: last night at 10 PM, I had $6.25 in there, and the app confirmed it. Then, suddenly at 5 AM this morning, it shows $44... on an account that isn't even allowed to go negative or hit $0.33 in the first place. And no, I definitely didn't buy anything overnight.
They apologized and admitted they were aware of it—clearly, I’m just one of many people dealing with this mess if they already knew about the issue by the time I walked in. They promised the money would be back in my account within two or three days. Supposedly, I could have sped things up by heading to a specific department to file a formal request for an immediate refund, but I really wasn't in the mood to deal with that headache. I just wanted confirmation that the money would actually show up in a few days so I wouldn't have to go back there and start an argument.
I know exactly how much money has been moving in and out of my account over the last week
. Even though there have been dozens of small transactions—mostly buying and selling stuff on various forums—I track everything meticulously. They won't be able to gaslight me even for $0.33.
edit: Just logged back in to check my balance... it says I have $53 now... BUT I still can't pay for an item on eBay that costs $23... Honestly, what a complete disaster they've made of this! 🙄
Has anyone else run into issues with this NEW (just updated yesterday) Bank of America online banking interface?
Last night around 10 PM, my balance was sitting at $6.25, but when I logged in at 5 AM this morning, the site shows $44 in the PayPal 😲 (mind you, this is a checking account—one where I can't even go into overdraft, let alone spend anything since yesterday... 🙄 — honestly, unbelievable!)
I swear, if their new system is so poorly built that someone managed to snag my login credentials during my very first attempt to use it last night—just me, the first person online after the update—😠
I'll lose it.
And frankly, I don't get why they changed the system at all—it worked perfectly fine before (not to mention the design was better; they actually made the 👎 worse). I guess they just have too much extra cash to burn 🤷

Her little package finally arrived🙂
It spent 10 whole days trekking from San Francisco to Ed!
In the meantime, I sat there playing the "will it show up or not" guessing game—consider this my final warning to myself: NEVER send a package via standard mail again.
Look, as I understand it, "cash on delivery" just means the recipient pays the package value when they pick it up..
And you have to pay an extra fee for that option, I think $2.25—at least that’s how it worked last time I sent something this way—whereas a standard shipment is $5.00 (within the US, even if it's up to 20kg), so it should cost you about 20-$8.25 in total.
Sophia Nelson67 thanks for the tip, but I’m still holding out hope it actually reaches its destination. Since the 10th through the 14th were holidays, I'm worried that's why things are lagging—though hopefully it shows up eventually... then again, I don't have a tracking number because I didn't send it as a parcel, just a standard letter since it was such a tiny package... so now I'm just stuck playing games with fate.
Quick question:
On April 10th—eight days ago now—I sent a small package from San Francisco to Dražica. It still hasn't arrived, even though domestic shipping usually takes maybe two or three days tops.
The recipient hasn't received any sort of delivery notice either, though they were keeping an eye out since they knew I shipped it back on the 10th.
I just stopped by the local post office, and they gave me the usual "sometimes things take a little longer" line. Honestly? I’m skeptical. Packages I sent a few days after this one have already reached their destination.
There's absolutely no sign of this package.🤷
Does anyone know where I should start looking for it?
Thanks!
He didn't bother seeing his regular doctor since it was Friday afternoon—instead, he headed straight to the ER.
They basically run things like an assembly line there; they sent him home with nothing but some antibiotics and zero follow-up tests... that's it.🙄
I have a question—if there’s already a thread about this (I couldn't seem to find one), please point me in the right direction.
My dad works at the local zoo, specifically working closely with parrots.
Because of the intense heatwave (it hit 101°F yesterday), he ended up in the ER. The doctor diagnosed him with bronchitis, prescribed antibiotics, and told him to take it easy so it doesn't turn into pneumonia.
While searching online, I stumbled upon some recent news reports about parrot-borne illnesses—cases where people who bought infected birds from pet stores ended up hospitalized with pneumonia. It makes me wonder: could this actually be an infection from the birds? (My dad didn't mention his job at the zoo to the doctor)
I’d appreciate any thoughts or personal experiences you might have.
Thanks in advance 🙂
...to's how unspeakable put it:

Look, if you don't feel like you have the energy to go out and approach someone, just focus on being approachable and easygoing. If you project that vibe, the guys will start coming to you instead. 🙂
Just be friendly and easygoing with his entire crew. Specifically—
him—give him a smile here and there, or throw him a suggestive look (...just try not to stare him down, okay? 😲 )
That should give him enough of an opening to approach you 😉 ...assuming he's interested.
Lift weights for strength, hit the pavement for cardio
...but if you actually want to drop weight, you've got to watch the portions 😛

I really miss having someone by my side—specifically a boyfriend. I want to feel some romance again, kisses, intimacy... or if nothing else, just some casual flirting. There’s this guy I’m interested in; he’s three years older than me and we go to the same school. I want him. Or at least, I want to talk to him. I watch him every single day, but I can never find the nerve to actually approach him. I’m a coward, and I'm constantly worried he'll reject me or laugh in my face. It's not like I'm unattractive; I know I'm not. I think I'd have a shot with him, maybe even just for coffee, but my nature is to shrink away when things like this come up. How do I "break free" from this? I really need someone.
And I get the feeling guys never approach me. Which is true. But like I said, I'm not unattractive, so I don't see why. I'm not the type of girl who just throws herself at guys either—in fact, I can't stand girls like that. I'm an old-school romantic who expects the guy to make the first move. I know I should probably change and loosen up a bit.
Just please, don't go looking desperate for attention 😘 ...that's how inexperienced girls tend to act.
You don't need to aggressively "throw yourself" at guys—unless you want everyone to start labeling you as the girl who's easy
and I truly hope
you aren't that kind of person 😕
Just act natural.
Don't be shy, but for heaven's sake, don't be shameless either. 😁
