I'd say we’re heading straight toward a block made up of the USA, the SED, and the UK.

I’m telling you again: Russia only really moved forward when Peter the Great brought those Western/European values over. If—by some miracle—we see leadership after Putin that actually wants to cooperate with the West and truly becomes part of it, that's when Russia will finally thrive.

Fun fact: Peter the Great actually designed the Russian Navy flag himself, though he had some serious influence from that Scotsman Patrick Leopold Gordon, who basically laid the foundation for their entire navy. That’s why the flag is just an inversion of the Scottish national flag.

Two years later, he crushed yet another uprising of musketeers, saving Peter’s throne once again. That same year, he laid the groundwork for the first Russian navy, even if it was just a small coastal fleet at the time. You can still see his legacy today in the Russian naval flag, which uses the colors of the inverted Scottish flag. [link]

Now, come on, try and find me one single shred of evidence to disprove that... 🙏

So please, don't lecture me about being some holy "beacon of democracy" watching over the sanctity of democratic values...

And yeah, what on earth does my comment have to do with the Russians? 🤔

Donald Trump lost his election fairly and square.

The Russians manufacture all the electronics they need for military use. They've been doing it since the USSR days.

Basically, you're right that almost everything is inferior to Western equivalents. Out of pure necessity, they've become masters of analog electronics.

Hey king 🤣🙏
There’s actually a massive difference between "going wild" and "getting laid."
Just thought I'd let you know—since you obviously don't realize it myself.

Just being a total coward and selling out the whole world for your own skin. Pathetic, bottom-of-the-barrel, Mariana Trench level low, darkdriver.

darkdriver said:Honestly, Erich, even a basic joke would be like some insane physics equation to you—you know, one with fifty-two letters and two numbers, just a total, mind-bending mystery.
But hey, I actually kind of love it—you’re such a total geek, always jumping on every single thing I post. I guess I'll just let you keep at it until you eventually bore me, and then I'll decide to totally shut you down, just like I did with that "caring" guy Misch.

You couldn't handle yourself in a paper bag, let alone anything else.

Now go ahead and start whining about how everything is too expensive and blaming the Ukrainians.

darkdriver said:Okay, but honestly, why do you even care???
They already know all of this—seriously, there's zero point in writing it out just to throw it in their faces. Just write what they want to hear, right? They can go ahead and read that stuff a million times if they really need to.
So, my advice? In every single one of your posts, just keep repeating how Russia invaded Ukraine, how Vladimir Putin has somehow died fifteen times already, how Russians will end up dumping oil straight into the Barents Sea because nobody will buy it, how lichen will grow over everything in the Siberian taiga, and how they'll all become Chinese cooks... I don't know, you get the drill. Just follow the script.
Just keep it chill and stay happy.

Oh yeah, sure. Go ahead and deny it. Might as well tell some stupid joke instead; it’ll be worth just as much.

bluerider63 said:People have been recycling this tired-ass argument since the 90s...

Priceless

🙂

But seriously, look at the facts. The European Union is cratering while Russia and its allies are thriving. "Just drop the sanctions, they're only making them stronger," people say. I don't get why anyone puts up with this European Union madness.

bluerider63 said:Honestly, I think it's already enough that von der Leyen and her crew over in Brussels have us pinned down. Actually, we'll probably feel the full weight of that even more clearly in a few months.

If you're going to put up with that kind of tyranny and slavery, then just move to Mexico already. Everything seems to be booming over there in their neck of the woods.

You’d all be singing a different tune if Vlad actually sat on your necks, but luckily for you, that’s never going to happen.

darkdriver said:Look, if you actually quoted me for what you're accusing me of—like, saying Russia is a superpower (I mean, nukes aside, which is whatever, but conventionally they're a joke, which I think I already mentioned in another thread, but hey, people love to draw lines in the sand)—or saying the US and the EU are doomed, I’d probably just ban myself from this forum in a few months.
But let's stick to my actual quote instead of your weird interpretation of it.
Did I say Europe was going to be screwed?
Yeah, I did. And it wasn't just me—I was just passing along what people who actually know what's going on said, people who are way more informed than all of us combined on this forum.
The real tragedy here is that while everyone is rightfully calling out Russia and its mess, we've got this weird "Internet Soviet Union" forming on the web—specifically on this side of the Iron Curtain. It's full of people where if you write anything that doesn't fit the narrative—you know, the one where Ukrainians are basically at the gates of Vladivostok and Vladimir Putin is apparently dying for the 15th time in three months—they start lecturing you about the "deep consequences" of everything. Meanwhile, there are those who just want everyone to breathe in unison and stop asking uncomfortable questions, acting all righteous.
Seriously, don't screw with me.

The real tragedy is you not realizing we all already know this. Even worse, you only care because you're worried about your own skin. If things had gone the way Vlad dreamed they would with Ukraine, then in no uncertain time, America—via Canada and Mexico—would have been totally screwed because they see us as part of the Russian sphere too. And I bet you'd love that, wouldn't you?

You rarely run into this level of intellect or culture.👍

Oh sure, Georgia started the war in Georgia, wunderbar

The people over at Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase are such hardcore Russia-lovers...
I don't even know how else to explain their predictions about how the European Union is somehow going to come out "on top" in all of this.
Not to mention they actually had the nerve to write that Russia has already boosted its oil exports to India, and that there'll be plenty of buyers so their energy revenue won't drop at all.
Honestly, only a total Russia-sympathizer or a Russian agent could write something like that—there's really no other logical explanation.
As for the "Noah's Ark" crowd, I guess all they can do is keep their heads in the sand, screaming "you're lying!" and trying to comfort themselves with the idea that Russia will become China's workshop... which, let's be real, is just absolutely ridiculous and tragicomic, especially considering who's saying it.

Do your homework. Find out exactly what price India is paying for those discounts, and how much production in Russia has actually tanked.

Then you can just go right back to playing pretend.

goldenpuma84 said:Actually, this is all getting pretty off-topic.

And that’s just my take on the question.

Bottom line: I try to keep a level playing field for everyone.

Something most people here clearly can't do.

Anyway, we're looking at inflation, recession, layoffs, social unrest, and general misery ahead—the perfect breeding ground for anyone selling cheap fixes.

Once that becomes the new normal, denying reality won't matter anymore.

Go ahead and keep doing what you're doing.

Since that's what you asked for.

Of course, it’s also an opportunity for a comeback. Nothing fertilizes growth quite like a pile of broken illusions...

Extremely likely. I just have one question: is that worth it to you personally, given the cost to the survival of the Ukrainian people and their nation?

And just so we're clear, my answer to that same question is yes.

steelfox98 said:With current active wars, Turkey also launched a "police action" in northern Syria just a few days ago. Screaming, whining, sanctions? NOTHING. Zero points.
The best part? They’re attacking Kurds, who are American allies and favorites of the EU. But they aren't important enough.
Out of all the fake moralists on this topic, how many have stepped up? Zero.

We already discussed Yemen. Incomparably more dead, millions starving, and the West is still arming Al-Qaeda types from Saudi Arabia. Apparently, they're dear allies to us all.
That’s a recap of the forum commenters for you.

The drop in standards in the EU is happening because the EU itself started the sanctions, so in typical fashion, you're lying.

1. Neutrality—basically, staying out of NATO.
2. Resolving the conflict in the rebel Donbas. Just as a reminder, Zelenskyy wasn't exactly eager to play ball either; back in early February, when things were already heating up, he refused to even talk to his own fellow citizens from that region. And all while trying to pull them back into Ukraine.

Everything else was just standard high-stakes bargaining. The Ukrainians wouldn't budge, and now they're stuck in a much worse position that isn't going away anytime soon.

Maybe you can explain to me how "military neutrality" works for a NATO member? And please, provide a link to back that up.

Specifically you, look at your last post on the Syria thread:
steelfox98 said:These journalists are a joke. If Psakica gives them a lecture, who are they to question such baseless claims?

Of course, just doing your usual trolling job of trashing America.

1. neutrality, or rather NOT being in NATO

Ukraine declared neutrality and stuck to it.
2. resolving the situation with the rebel Donbas. As a reminder, Zelenskyy didn't just refuse to do that; back in early February, when things were already heating up, he refused to even communicate with his own citizens from that region. And yet he wanted to bring it back under Ukrainian control.

In reality, he just wanted Zelenskyy to accept the results of the first Russian aggression, beefed up by additional territories alongside the already annexed Crimea.

Maybe you could elaborate on what military neutrality looks like for a NATO member? And back it up with a link!

Maybe you can elaborate with a link regarding when Ukraine sent its request to join NATO, yeah spectator?

Donna Harris11 said:Honestly, we should probably just set up some kind of voluntary tax to fund Ukraine and support that comedian guy.

Or, I don't know, maybe at the gas station, if someone wants to chip in, they can just pay extra for their fuel. $6.75/L

Fine by me. Nobody's forcing you.

Amanda Flores88 said:Look, a politician's whole job is hunting for solutions—that’s what they do. The real tragedy here isn't just some local spat between two countries; within certain independent circles, there's a feeling that the main players just lacked the willpower or the finesse to find any actual political compromise. War is the absolute worst-case scenario. Honestly? I’d rather see them make extra concessions they wouldn't normally touch. Politicians come and go—eventually, the policy will change too.

Right, you're just a regular comedian, aren't you?

Great, so at least this actually serves a purpose, unlike your usual garbage posts.
Sanctions on Russia in War in Ukraine ·
hollowdriver13 said:So, what you're actually saying is that Ukraine should have just rolled over and signed away its own sovereignty.
That’s the exact kind of "concession" Russia was looking for, and you know they’d just come knocking for the next one a few years later.
And as for politicians changing—that doesn't change the fact that if Ukraine had signed off on losing territory, nobody would ever step up to help them get it back. There wouldn't even be any motivation to help, because people would just say, "Hey, you signed the deal yourselves, so why complain after XX years of serfdom?"

What a "complex" way to spin the story that Ukrainians should have just surrendered and let themselves be wiped out as a nation, just so some local elites wouldn't have to feel too uncomfortable.
