it’s not just that, it’s like that ice cream from Ben & Jerry's... you know—honey, honey... please, please... just give me one, good... lick, lick? [/B]

🙂

That's a female voice singing, but Ben & Jerry's guy definitely has XY chromosomes.

Actually, no. That's Cassandra during her blue hair phase.

Carol Jackson45 said:Here are 7 of the absolute worst songs you could possibly play on an acoustic guitar at a backyard party (in no particular order):

1. Walking on Sunshine
2. Wild World
3. To Be With You
4. 4. Proud Mary
5. 5. Hotel California
6. 6. Knockin'
7. '74-'75

🥳

If I’m allowed to throw the entire decade of the eighties into eighth place, and move 4. Proud Mary up to the top spot... then I think we finally have an agreement.

If I were to weigh in, I'd say it’s less about "understanding" the music on a technical level and more about the intensity of the experience. Music is all about perception. Certain substances just seem to heighten those senses and lower your inhibitions, making everything feel a bit more... vivid, I suppose.
Nonverbal communication tips? in Psychology ·
nimbletrucker9 said:Did Neanderthals have more sophisticated non-verbal communication since they lacked spoken language?
That is actually a fascinating question to ponder...

They relied almost entirely on non-verbal cues, much like animals do today. Think about it—when a lion is about to attack you, it bristles its fur, narrows its eyes, or starts growling. It doesn't need to say a word to tell you what's happening; you still get the message loud and clear that you're about to become lunch.

In my view, humans were gifted with speech specifically so our interactions could become nuanced and layered. Even those little emojis we all use constantly are just modern attempts to supplement our written words, trying to mimic the depth of face-to-face communication. You know what I mean?
