How to sign up for Medicare in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
Quick question; I’m offboarding an employee on May 31st... which falls on a Saturday. When exactly do I need to head over to Medicare to finalize the deregistration? Should I go tomorrow (Friday) or wait until Monday, considering there's a 24-hour window? Thanks.
Lease agreements: Tips, questions, and experiences in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
With an operating lease that includes a residual value, you aren't actually forced to buy the car at the end of the term for that pre-set price—in this case, $6,000. You have the choice. But if you opt for the lease without a residual value? Well, then you lose that right entirely. You can't just swoop in and buy the vehicle when the contract expires. Instead, it goes to someone else—some third party, could be an individual or a corporation, doesn't really matter—who usually picks it up based on its market value. The bottom line is simple: if there’s no residual value baked in, you don't get the option to buy.

I'm gonna shop this quote around to other providers now to see if I can snag a better deal. 😁

If that's the case, then it's a steal... though honestly, it sounds almost too good to be true. A buddy of mine had a 77 kw car with a 20% discount, shopped every single insurer in the country, and the absolute cheapest he found was $817

If you haven't had any claims in the last 10-15 years, or if you're in a certain demographic, you might snag a bigger bonus or extra discounts. With some companies, you might get a decent price only through commercial promos—vouchers, stuff like that. There's always something.
But you really have to look at what you actually get with those cheap policies. You need to see which specific coverages apply to travelers, if they even exist, and if there’s any extra coverage worth having. It’s probably smart not to just hunt for the absolute lowest price only to end up complaining later because you aren't covered for what actually happened. These days, policies are pretty much customized everywhere. It all comes down to your age, where you live, the type of car, how old it is, horsepower, how you pay...

Please, it's all just marketing fluff... I've had an Adriatic policy for years, zero claims, and my wife used to get it for five bucks cheaper than everyone else for years. Now? Since April 1st, they're among the most expensive out there... guess they aren't interested in keeping customers anymore. Honestly, if I were paying a decent premium, I’d just go with Allianz.

The best deals are usually from Grawe, Mount Rainier, or Wiener... personally, Wiener gave me the best rate.

Which insurance plan for AO is actually the cheapest right now?

It’s a mess for me because my LLC was officially registered on January 2nd or 3rd, but I listed the start date as January 1st. She told me her computer wouldn't accept it... said I have to fix the error and resubmit everything.
jadenomad24 said:I'm using Internet Explorer, and everything was working perfectly until now. I haven't changed a single setting, so I have no idea why this is happening all of a sudden (except for the fact that I can't access the PK system at all).

Some random toolbar or spyware must have crawled onto your system and messed with your settings... just wipe out all those toolbars... use Revo Uninstaller and be done with it.

It’s working fine on my end... it's just a standard pop-up window. If you've got some kind of ad blocker running, that might be what's messing things up. Which browser are you using?

She called me... things have been rough lately... so I need to get this sorted out... basically, I just resubmit the corrected PD like I did the first time, right? I turned my stuff in by the end of the first month... and they're only just now processing it...

So, how does one actually file an amended corporate income tax return?

If it’s mandatory? I don't know. Maybe—but only if you haven't already sorted out your insurance policy or signed up for roadside assistance...

But once I hit the button to sign and process the submission, everything just freezes. It’s like nothing happens at all—just total silence from the system. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Your Java is probably broken.

You’re going to have to redownload those certificates from the IRS website... but this time, make sure you select the login option instead of registering... just like it says in the instructions

The money hits the account... zero interest... honestly, I don't think I have any issues with my banking setup. As far as I can remember, the payment clears and posts on the very same day the cash actually lands.

That’s what I was thinking... I paid off 27k, but they were still showing a balance of 28k... so technically, there should be zero interest left, right?

If you have up to three employees... sure, you can file manually. Anything beyond that? You're going to need an e-file account. And look, once you activate it, you're stuck with it—you'll be filing through that system from then on. There’s no going back to dropping off paper files at the agent's desk.
Kyle Rogers8 said:could you clarify this a bit?

The interest hasn't been paid yet (you just see it on the individual account balance)?

Or are you seeing an actual charge for interest?

I will...
I'm thinking they're sales tax interest charges because my payment hasn't been cleared on their end yet. So, the amount just keeps climbing every day... apparently, it takes them three business days from the time of payment for it to hit the balance. It's not showing any collection, just uncollected interest...

Steven Anderson14 said:I can't get the payroll files sent out today. It’s totally stuck on the form upload stage. I keep getting this error saying my certificate isn't valid. Seriously, I need some help here!! People are waiting on their paychecks....

You can't because it literally tells you they're doing an upgrade...

"We are notifying all IRS users that from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM today, services for submitting and verifying payroll tax forms will be unavailable due to a new application version being pushed to production."

Go ahead and pay them, but remember you have to file that form within 24 hours of the payout!

BTW.
Does anyone know:
I've got some unpaid interest sitting there for a few bucks, and I'm wondering how I can actually see the breakdown of what those interest charges are for on my Chase credit card statement?

It’s honestly a relief to know I'm not the only one dealing with this lag; I was starting to worry I'd messed something up on my end...🙄

I turned in all my forms on the 20th—both for last year and this first month of the new year... absolutely nothing has moved yet. Just those unspecified ones.

"Crypto device support is not ready. Please verify that the correct crypto device support is installed."

I’ve tried installing every version of Java under the sun, swapped between IE, Mozilla, and Chrome, even went as far as disabling my antivirus entirely, but nothing works! It’s just the same frustrating loop over and over...

What about an active client?

Just download this and run the launcher... it'll check if you actually have everything required installed...
