Jeffrey Campbell97 said:I used to have my coverage through $0.87(an 85 kw car, New York City), but I just ended up paying a whopping $0.67 over at State Farm. Before this, I was with Europe... and honestly, they were just taking me for every cent I had for years...
Hopefully, the rates will drop even further...

Just a heads-up, right now Euroherc and Liberty Mutual—since State Farm recently started cutting prices—are the cheapest options out there... I just paid for my 77kw ride $567 ... whether you pay cash or installments, the price is exactly the same... and while everyone else was stuck with identical quotes, I was consistently getting $167 better deals at Liberty Mutual than anywhere else...

How do I get actual confirmation that my tax form from June 2013 was fully processed?
The status updates just say "form received and being processed," but apparently, that isn't enough for the Social Security Administration...

Look, you've got document details and document status, but there’s nothing generated as an official receipt... your only option is to print out the screen showing the timestamp and the status....

We're supposedly part of the European Union, yet we still can't even get our government services to talk to each other online!

What kind of question is that? It’s Windows 8.1, obviously...

jadenomad24 said:So, my security certificate from Chase finally expired. The teller let me know, so I went ahead and handed back my card reader and my physical card to Chase. They told me that from now on, when I want to get into their online banking, I’ll just be using my federal digital ID—you know, the stuff used for the IRS and official government filings—all through one single digital token.
Everything seems to be working fine so far,
BUT NOBODY BOTHERED TO MENTION THE COST.

Now I'm sitting here wondering which setup actually makes more sense for my wallet. I've noticed some people seem to access those IRS portals directly through their bank interface instead. 😕

$50 With Sales Tax, you're looking at the renewal fee plus $21 the monthly service charge for the IRS portal.

After those guys, I looked at Prudential with a $10 higher premium, and then Generali was also a bit more expensive at $17.
As for MetLife, Progressive, and Liberty Mutual, they just seemed way too pricey and honestly not worth the hassle.

Back home, I actually had the option to pay with a credit card and split it into ten interest-free installments without any extra fees, whereas most other places seem to hike the price up by at least 5% if you do that.
On top of that, they actually knocked $247 off the official quote for me.

I guess now I finally understand how it feels when a woman is being crowded by five different guys at once.😁

go jump in a lake... the cheapest bet is to just bring your own quote from the US... you can even do installments... same price.
Quick question about credit cards in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Noah Wilson7 said:Alright, so this was more of a "what if" kind of question to begin with, but hey...
let's say we're talking about splitting something into 5 monthly payments

but what I'm actually curious about—purely hypothetically, obviously
is whether a bank would even look at me for a credit card if I'm just on a fixed-term contract,
and if they would, what kind of hoops would I have to jump through?

Nobody actually knows their criteria... they use some internal scoring system to decide who gets a card, but without a permanent full-time contract? It's going to be tough...

Quick dummy question for you guys—so, I've got my checking account, right? Let’s say I withdraw $333, head over to a sportsbook, and walk away with $1333. If I go to place a bet, am I going to get hit with some kind of tax? Like, am I going to end up owing the IRS anything for that?

No way. I mean, where on earth did you get $1333...

As long as you stay under $33333, you can do whatever you want. But once you start dealing with anything over $33333, you better have a paper trail for that money...

Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen were a solid pairing, but man, that Ferrari disaster with Mass was a total train wreck... if they’d just stuck to the same strategy Alonso’s using right now, he’d be fighting for a podium spot instead of this mess!
slydrifter39 said:It’s pretty wild seeing Massa ahead of Alonso on the grid after everything that went down recently.🍿

And that makes two races in a row... though I've got a feeling Massa will just let him past if he realizes there's no point in trying to make a move.

I got slapped with a penalty just for saying it was trash... but apparently, I can't even trust the Vettel fans running this forum leadership...
Vettel’s just walking off like he owns the place. Did he actually bribe the officials to stay quiet? It’s ridiculous. Honestly, the only thing Ferrari had going for them today was that Massa was still struggling with his hybrid system issues...
Rain really played a huge part in Q3. Hopefully, we'll see if Ferrari actually improved anything over the summer break tomorrow.

Richard Howard55 said:Article 79 lists everything required for an invoice under the sales tax law.
If the law allows it, you can claim the credit.
In paragraph 12 of that same article, they added another type of receipt (which the IRS website says also works for credits) called a "simplified invoice." The difference here is that prices are shown inclusive of sales tax (like a price tag in a shop), rather than the "standard" way where you list the item price, then the tax, then the total at the bottom.
Now, here is the catch: that "simplified" invoice cannot exceed $233. I have no clue if that's 700.00 including tax or before tax, because the law just says... "for deliveries of goods or services..." (what exactly counts as a delivery in this context? Honestly, I don't feel like digging that up, I'd rather $233 and call it a day).
And that’s where this whole wholesale headache starts, since those follow the full requirements for a "proper" invoice.
I suspect retailers are being told things have become "complicated," and everyone will just have to figure out their own way to deal with it (probably by praying the software developers come up with something to get us out of this mess).
There. I tried to explain. Maybe it helps, maybe not....

Also, could someone explain which boxes on the sales tax form should be used for shipments to the USA (or even other countries), assuming I have proof they are tax-exempt and I still need to account for "domestic" sales tax?

So, from what I gather, I can just keep issuing retail receipts exactly like I have been, right? Since there aren't any changes to the retail format, I can still issue an R-1 higher than $233???🙄

Unbelievable. I honestly don't think even Linić fully understands this!

Can someone please make sense of this for me?

"Under the updated Sales Tax Law, business owners can claim tax deductions using retail receipts, provided they don't exceed
$233, and as long as the customer's name and SSN are clearly listed on them.

For any amounts over $233, you have to void the retail sale and move it to wholesale, where you
can issue an invoice that complies with the Sales Tax Law."

How can you say that...
Benjamin King2 said:Oh, come on—you actually participated in the election, which makes you directly responsible for the result. Now that you aren't happy with how things turned out, suddenly it’s the fault of everyone who didn't even bother to leave their house that day? 😁
I pay my $100, and I tip well for $233, so do you want to pay a hundred bucks if you (once again) pick the wrong guy? 😛

That’s exactly the point... those people who didn't bother to vote? They act like they’re some kind of "neutral" observers. Like they don't carry any responsibility for the outcome, right? As if you can just skip out on your civic duty and then turn around later and play the moralist. You want to blow the whistle on how things are going now? Fine. But don't expect anyone to care when you didn't show up when it actually mattered.
Henry Hernandez7 said:@Nancy Alvarez82&David Parker44@

You guys have it wrong. All these political parties basically come from the same kitchen, and they’re running on a version of democracy that has absolutely nothing to do with how we actually imagine it working.

And honestly, I don't even buy into the whole election thing; it's just a massive show put on for the public.

Yes, we are.
First off, if the people actually showed some teeth, this whole movie would be playing out differently. Just look at France... the second they tighten the screws, you've got riots in the streets. You can't mess with them. But here? Throw a tax hike at us—wrapped up in some "austerity" ideology or blaming the previous administration—and everyone just folds. Everyone just says, "Well, I guess we have to..." That's how it always goes. And don't even get me started on small business owners. Hit them with an extra 12% tax on profit distributions and not a single soul at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce even blinks.

Secondly, I’d implement penalties at the polls for anyone who doesn't show up... simple enough. $100 So don't bother voting then. You live in America, and that comes with a duty to the state and the people. If we did that, they wouldn't be playing games with pathetic 40% turnout numbers and letting a tiny minority decide the majority. The final result would look completely different.
