It went okay, I guess. Honestly, though, it would’ve been better for the PR if they had kicked things off with a double DNF. That would have given the folks over at West Coast some actual work to do—maybe then they could finally find a way to cool down those two hotheads.
Charles Leclerc would’ve cruised right through if he hadn't been shoved practically onto the grass. Both guys actually did a decent job explaining how that potential collision could have gone down during that chaotic start. Honestly, I’m pretty disappointed in the kid. First, he was pulling those awkward moves just to avoid "threatening" his teammate, and then he was waving his hands about team orders after letting his teammate pass, even though he was clearly the faster driver. For a debut race, they showed some real promise, but there are already so many people wishing Sebastian Vettel would just dominate the whole season. Ferrari isn't going to let that happen, and frankly, the kid is acting like a total coward.
Sebastian Vettel is still in a total freefall. Aside from any potential technical glitches with the car, those team orders were basically a mercy kill to save him from even more embarrassment. Honestly, Ferrari’s biggest headache this season isn't even on the track—it's deciding whether they want to keep babysitting a lost cause or finally let a young talent loose to run the show.

Look, they played that team radio clip during the race where they were telling him to hold that button down for five seconds. It's pretty obvious half the grid was dealing with technical glitches today.
Man, this race was such a total joke. It’s obvious Lewis Hamilton had some serious issues with his car today; otherwise, he would’ve been right up there battling Valtteri Bottas, if not taking the win entirely, because their car is just incredible. I also got the feeling Ferrari was struggling a bit with Sebastian Vettel’s car today, because there's no way Red Bull is actually that much faster. Honestly, I think things will settle down soon, and we'll see Max fighting Charles Leclerc for fourth or fifth. Meanwhile, Ferrari will probably keep messing things up with their own stupidity, which might just hand even more points to Red Bull and Max.
I’m honestly really happy for Valtteri Bottas after that absolute nightmare he had at the end of last season. That was a solid opening race for him. It’s such a shame about how messy things are over at Ferrari; they really should have let Charles Leclerc get past Sebastian Vettel. Max Verstappen had a great race too, though it’s a bummer about that one excursion while he was chasing down Lewis Hamilton—that’s exactly what cost him the second-place finish.

There is absolutely no way Ferrari lets Charles Leclerc overtake Sebastian Vettel. If he even tries to make a move, they’ll just tell him to back off and slow down.
Newsroom staff at these sites are just a bunch of students who either copy-paste everything or rely on crappy Google Translate to recycle content, kind of like how 24sata does it.
I gave it a little watch, but honestly, it wasn't really my thing. That kind of stuff is probably more for you folks down in California; I just don't get those local jokes from there.
