Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Looking for recommendations for a general practitioner in the Spanish Flu and Malenice area.

I called Medicare, and they said there are openings with Dr. Ljiljana Predović, Josipa Rodić, Snježana Stipković, and Marija Mažuranić.

If anyone here is currently seeing them or knows a solid doctor in that neighborhood, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I've heard nothing but praise for Dr. Majić, but apparently, her roster is completely full.

As for Dr. Živković, I was told not to even dream about switching to her.

Thanx.

Kimberly Nguyen said:@tiliw ... did you actually go through with that loan using your savings balance, or was it more of a bridge loan setup?

@markos ... look, the total amount is strictly capped based on what's laid out in your savings agreement—basically, they designate a specific target amount there—unless, of course, the bank is running some special promotion at the time.

I used bridge financing for the first two years.

In my case, I didn't even have to put down that 40% down payment—or whatever percentage it is—that people usually talk about when using savings to secure a loan.🤷

To be clear, I'm not actually looking for a loan; I'm just curious about how it works.

For instance, my savings plan hit its five-year mark recently. I put in two installments of $25,000 each $0.00. Based on those savings, it looks like I'd qualify for an $11,000 loan at a fixed rate.

I actually set this up way back when I was still in college. I probably wouldn't mess around with it like that anymore.

I don't need the credit, so I won't be taking it. It just seems odd to me—like there's an $11,000 cap on my end, but it doesn't seem to apply to others.
I'm just trying to wrap my head around it.

I’ll have to dig through my paperwork... who actually remembers all these details?

In my experience, the key was the property value. I was buying a condo worth three times the loan amount I requested, so the bank was incredibly flexible...

I kept things simple to avoid any confusion. Once they realized I was asking for such a "small" amount against a property with that much equity, there weren't any issues at all.

I dealt with the exact same thing
. My doctor kept prescribing me birth control to manage it, but as soon as I stopped, the irregular cycles came right back.

It drove me crazy, so I finally went out to get a second opinion.

After just a five-minute chat with the gynecologist, she figured that based on my symptoms, it was likely a thyroid issue and sent me for some blood work.

And that’s exactly what it was... my thyroid was acting up.

Everything has been perfect since then. For the first time in my life, my cycle is actually predictable.

The lesson here? Find the actual root cause instead of just treating the symptoms.
If only doctors in this country would realize that.😕

I'll never find such a good guy again; he was one of a kind.

Casey Palmer5, I am so incredibly sorry.

Even though someone close to me is battling a malignant disease, I haven't actually posted in this thread—I've just been reading along, so I'm familiar with what you're going through.

I was actually wondering just yesterday why you hadn't checked in, and then I log on today to see this.

Life can be so cruel sometimes that it makes you wonder.

Hang in there. 🙂🙂

My advice? Grab your phone and call your OB-GYN right now.

Based on the symptoms, I’d say it looks like a yeast infection, though the blood is throwing me for a loop, so 🤷

We can sit here guessing all day and offering theories, but at the end of the day, a doctor is a doctor.

Best,
