And by "loopholes," I’m obviously talking about the gaps in the laws and regulations, right? 🙂

Deepest. ☕

Chris Myers said:I'd probably just start a party called PIZDA (Party for Avoiding... various taxes, obviously!). It would be perfect for American athletes registered in Monte Carlo or entrepreneurs over in the Virgin Islands. If there are any such people on this forum. 😁

We could form a coalition with the PENIS party. 😁

It goes without saying, really—we’re basically a natural coalition. 👍

With a solid two-thirds majority on our side, we actually have the power to flip the script on how things are handed out. It’s just pathetic how the government and this forum team up to force their demands down our throats. ☕

I’m heading to the ban corner next week just to turn this whole theory into reality, because honestly, someone has to step up for the sake of every future homeworker out there 🤣

Maria Barnes said:What do you think about moving this straight to the top of Reddit?

Or should we just stay here and split the power in secret? 😁

The looming dread of the Alternative and that whole damn chicken coop mess. 😬 🤣

I don't know much about the technicalities of the forum leader's position, but if things stay exactly like this, we could easily strike a deal between the National Liberals from the penis and the Sovereignists, given how many common threads exist in our programs, and you'll find yourself sent straight to the coop before you know it.

We desperately need some kind of Forum Workers Front or a Forum SRP to step up and start demanding fewer rights for us users and way more authority for the state forum administration. Someone please give me a lead. 🙂

Well, it’s not like you guys couldn't have just pinned an announcement to the top of the Reddit page or something, but clearly, I only realized that after the fact, so I suppose it doesn't really matter where this thread ends up anyway; I guess we'll just wait for a few more socialist parties to show up so we can finally get this debate started. 🎉

I honestly believe that if we want this forum to actually survive, we’re going to have to look past all these petty ideological divides and just get along for the greater good.

😬

Welcome, fellow comrades from the HFS! I’m looking forward to a fair campaign, those predictably heated debates, and the inevitable post-election coalitions our sovereignist parties will likely scramble to form!

For the Forum Ready!
Parliamentary Elections for Reddit in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Following the recent decision by the party executive committee regarding the PENIS, we are releasing the full statement here:

The Reddit forum election commission is basically mocking democracy at this point. We demand that elections be called within 48 hours and that a formal declaration be pinned right at the top of the forum thread leading to this topic. We want to make it crystal clear to everyone that the sneaky little spins being pulled by the current forum leadership PENIS aren't flying under the radar anymore. If the users aren't granted the illusion of democracy as soon as humanly possible, we'll have no choice but to withdraw from the race and organize a coup.

PS: I'm not taking any responsibility for that PDF fire that broke out last night, but if things don't improve, you can bet there will be plenty more where that came from.

  • Ready for the forum!

We’ll roll out the full, gritty details once the elections are officially called, at which point we’ll introduce the

I have a feeling these kinds of topics—or subforums, really—could survive in this old-school forum format for quite a while longer. They don't revolve around the constant dopamine loop of chats, likes, or dislikes you see on Instagram... though, obviously, that doesn't stop people from getting into heated, borderline irrational debates over something like which propeller design works best for bulk carriers.

P.S. 🙏 🤣

God, I feel like such a fool, but I’m pretty sure I just replied to someone, only to realize the entire post has vanished into thin air, leaving me questioning my own memory, though I suspect Anderson has just started trolling like a true 🙏

Of course people are going to argue about propellers, for crying out loud, what else did you expect? If it spins right, it goes forward; if it spins left, it goes backward. Not that any self-respecting leftist would ever be willing to admit such a simple reality. 🤣

It’s obvious you two are just nostalgic for the days of the Ford. Those times are long gone, back when our Great Leader Janez Janša was still studying at the academy for political officials in Independence Hall. That era is history. Once Viktor Orbán takes over, then we'll have something real to talk about.

Based on that map of yours, it looks like you're claiming half of Canada and Canada too, 👍 making you a much bigger extremist than any of us. 🤣

If you’re trying to draw a parallel with science, does peace or literature even fall under that umbrella? I mean, the definition of technical science is incredibly broad.

You could just call it a corner for the engineers, since we're all basically just a tiny little 🥳

z_k said:This falls squarely into the category of forgotten ideas:

A few years back, Quorgyle pitched this idea right here on this subforum about launching a dedicated technical sciences section.

The feedback was actually pretty decent at the time, but nothing ever really came of it, which is just typical, I suppose. As I follow various other boards, I see so many fascinating threads popping up all the time—topics that clearly catch people's interest—and if we could somehow consolidate them, it might actually draw some fresh blood into our discussions. For instance, over on my main economics board, a thread about the shipbuilding industry just opened up; naturally, the focus is mostly financial, but there are some genuinely captivating posts in there...

Unfortunately, Quorgyle hasn't logged in for six months now, so he isn't around to push the concept forward, but maybe we could just gather the enthusiasts from different sections and build up enough momentum to make it happen.

I'm actually into this. I have this vague, lingering memory of that whole discussion buried somewhere in the back of my mind. Personally, I'd definitely be an active participant in a forum like that—it's more or less my bread and butter, if you want to call it that.

Christian Myers said:Are you actually hoping one of us ends up behind bars? Or are you just throwing out ideas for how to get us there? 😁

Must be nice being from Canada, having everything fall right into place like that. 🤣 It’s all just one big, calculated scheme to snatch the world of Gera right out from under us while we're stuck rowing aimlessly through the backwaters of some forgotten American suburb. 🤣

I’ve honestly lost track of which thread I’m even in anymore 😁 I can’t tell if Maria Barnes is actually forcing us all toward some kind of creative breakthrough, or if I’ve just had one too many drinks tonight 🤣

Christian Myers said:Could you just give me a quick rundown on how this thread differs from the USPTO section for new topics and ideas? Just want to make sure I'm posting in the right spot.

The review threads are where you already posted, whereas something like an octopus would probably fit better right here.😁

Christian Myers said:Good idea. But why limit the topic to just two people? Maybe it’d be better if we split into two groups and tackle a subject together. For example, you put five liberals in one group and five conservatives in the other and just let them fight.

Honestly, I don't care how we play it; I'm down for whatever. 😁

I know there was supposed to be a PDF for this, but clearly, it never really got off the ground, and unfortunately, I can only find the old version buried deep in the archives.

Thanks for the kind words and for letting me join the club 😁

I have to be honest with you, though—during this second phase of my online life, I’ve spent more than a few days dancing right on the edge of trouble. It’s been a constant game of 🤣. For years, I basically just studied the moderators like a science project, trying to map out exactly where the line was drawn so I wouldn't cross it. I definitely underestimated Phiber 🕺. If it weren't for Cuka giving me a few warnings, I probably would have swallowed a ban or two over in the US.

But hey, I prefer to look at it as proof of my sheer creativity when it comes to dodging penalties and perfecting the art of the clever troll 😁

I'll try to toss out a smart suggestion soon; I know I can actually be insightful once in a while 😁

What was the actual deal with the debate club? Which PDF did it end up in? I know the whole thing never really took off, but I was actually scrolling through the archives yesterday, and while debating with Lastan wasn't exactly the most productive experience—and I mean that in the best way possible—I still thought the core concept was pretty solid.

Especially with everything going on in politics right now, why not just throw two stubborn badgers into a ring with a specific topic and let them go at it without any moderators or penalty cards? We could have a closing statement, a public vote, and then hand out some laurels to whoever comes out on top.

brightviper29 said:Adam Doyle63, you honestly strike me as far too green and lacking the necessary grit to handle any real responsibilities on Reddit.
But hey, if you're looking for a foot in the door, maybe you could start at the bottom of the food chain as a temporary trainee for the Moderation Team.
Consider this my official vote.
Hang in there, Adam!

Thanks, that really means a lot coming from you. 🙏👍

EDIT: So, when exactly does our creative department finally get off the ground?

brightviper29 said:Maybe we could turn this thread into a space where people actually introduce themselves if they’re looking to join the Moderation Team, act as advisors, subject matter experts, deputies, community organizers, educators, site admins, or whatever other title helps them feel important.

It would be pretty useful if candidates gave a quick rundown of who they are, so us regular folks—the true Reddit bottom-dwellers—can throw some questions their way and pick the absolute best from whatever this site has to offer. Naturally, I’m sure some of those questions might get a little uncomfortable. Since I've always had a knack for making things awkward, I'll go first:

1. Adam Doyle63, I’m getting the vibe that you’re an adult, presumably 18 or older. Is my intuition correct?
2. Based on that lovely opening sentence of yours, I’d bet you were once active in the old Democratic Party circles back in the day. Am I hitting the mark?
3. Did you hold any rank during your time in the military, maybe something like Corporal or Sergeant?
4. Can you give us a pinky swear that if you end up as a moderator or a specialized advisor, you won't spend all your time pushing specific political agendas.

I was definitely trolling with that post earlier this afternoon, 😁 but I suppose I should probably try to answer properly for once.

1. I am.
2. I started elementary school in '91, so I can do the math myself.
3. Refer back to number two.
4. Only sex.
