Just wanted to share some good news—I finally got it! :-) Everything turned out fine, and I actually received it three days earlier than expected, which saved me a whole lot of unnecessary stress... haha. Thanks so much to everyone for all the advice. Moving forward, I’ll definitely be more careful about how I handle things; I think I relied way more on pure luck than actual common sense this time around... cheers!
So, here’s the deal... I went to see my OBGYN, and the exam didn't really show anything out of the ordinary. But when I brought up the morning-after pill, she told me that those aren't even available here in the States—apparently, they aren't authorized. Honestly, how on earth are people getting them?! I even checked with the local pharmacy, but no luck. Now all I can do is grab some Rosary beads and start praying until August 5th.

Oh, come on, it doesn't really matter... I just need to know how much it costs so I can figure out how to scrape the money together.
I’m definitely heading to the gynecologist tomorrow... if they prescribe a pill, am I still responsible for the cost, or is it covered?
Austin Brown12 said:You can pick this up at any local CVS or Walgreens without needing a prescription from your doctor. That being said, it is perfectly logical—and frankly, common sense—to consult with a medical professional first to account for any potential side effects.
Everything is going to be just fine, and I truly cannot fathom why you’ve become so incredibly worked up over this.
Worked up? Honestly... if the guy at the drugstore was told he couldn't get it without a prescription, then yeah, I guess I am.

The worst part is I'm not even in a relationship... plus, I'm still pretty young...
So, does that mean I can still have a drink tomorrow?

Sarah Cox3 said:Honestly, you’re being hilarious right now! Where on earth did you hear that? Did you pick that up over coffee with Susan? You should really head over to the clinic tomorrow to talk things through and get some actual medical advice. I truly think that's your best bet. No home test is going to give you a reliable answer this early on!
Man, I know I probably sound ridiculous, but I'm just a nervous wreck...
Just one more thing... can I take this pill tomorrow? And how do I actually go about getting my hands on it?
Austin Brown12;15092342 said:Have you heard about emergency contraception? Like the "morning-after pill" you can take within 72 hours after unprotected sex? Basically, the pill works by stopping ovulation, preventing fertilization, or stopping a fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus.
Don't worry too much 🙂[/QU
I've definitely heard of it, but I actually just found out this past Sunday that my boyfriend finished inside me...

She’s pregnant.
Sarah Cox3... you can get the BETA HCG tested at the local clinic... if you go for bloodwork, you'll have the results the same day.
So, does that mean I can actually go check right now?
James Cox6 said:So you're pregnant—with twins, no less...🙂
But let's be honest—there are some truly awful people out there, aren't there?
Scott Smith68 said:Oh please, honey, go read some actual literature once in a while—maybe then you’ll understand why sometimes you just need years of intense, passionate sex to get by!
I feel like I get it all... I understand everything that's happening, but my head is just spinning. I honestly don't even know what to do anymore. This all started on Friday, and now it's Sunday—I don't think I have the nerves to wait another ten days. I am almost certain I'm Truman, but I just need that official confirmation. It’s so frustrating; women who are desperately trying to conceive can't seem to make it happen, while those who aren't looking for it seem to know they're pregnant from their very first time.
If I head to the gynecologist this week, will they be able to tell for sure if I'm pregnant or not?
I won't get my funds until early August, so it feels like a long wait ahead
How many days after having "risky" sex can I actually use an at-home pregnancy test? I’m looking for quick, reliable answers here... Thanks!

btw: how long does it take you to jump into the cold Mississippi River?
Honestly, don't even ask how long it takes me to get into the Mississippi... a looooong time!
It’s kind of like this:Everyone keeps telling me I'm acting weird... But honestly, even in the middle of summer when it hits 90 degrees out, I can suddenly feel a chill run through me. I'll find myself craving a blanket just because I'm freezing. Plus, my feet are ALWAYS ice cold. It's not like I'm shivering all day long, but most of the time when everyone else is sweltering, I'm the one feeling the cold. We were out at the Mississippi River once, and it was actually pretty warm—even for me!—but after a little while, I started feeling chilled and my feet felt like literal blocks of ice... If I'm struggling like this during the summer, you can imagine how much I'm going to suffer once winter actually hits!!
What's going on with me? Should I go see a doctor about it?
Thanks!!!!!
