Everything you need for a Midwest wedding in Weddings ·

Does anyone have the scoop on the wedding venue Melanie is looking at over by the Gate? I’m originally from Indianapolis, so it’s a pretty quick trip for me, and the menu prices don't look too crazy. My only real fear is getting hit with those "pay-to-play" DJs where the music quality depends on how much you tip. Since I'm just starting to dive into all this planning madness, any intel would be a lifesaver 🙏

The venue is really spacious and lovely, though I did hear from some friends that the owner quoted one price initially and then changed it when it came time to pay... I can't say much more than that, but overall it's a beautiful spot that holds a good amount of people. Maybe you could try to find a number to call or just stop by to chat with her in person; I think you might want to book it sooner rather than later.

I feel like I have a whole bunch of symptoms going on; my lower back is killing me, and for the last ten days or so, I've had that heavy feeling like my period is coming, even though it's just some yellowish discharge. It's pretty slimy, but there's no odor or stinging. Since yesterday, I've been feeling really nauseous after eating, and I'm just generally weak and sleepy, though strangely enough, I can't actually sleep through the night because I keep waking up to use the bathroom. I did deal with a bladder infection about three weeks ago, but that cleared up in two days, and now I'm dealing with a cold. I guess you think it could be related to why I'm late?
I'm planning to take a test tomorrow morning using one from Google. Is that brand any good, or should I spring for something more expensive? This one was $10

Sweetie, I bought a test for $6.75 and my OB-GYN told me price doesn't matter at all; they can all show whether you're pregnant or not!

Has anyone here tried designing their own wedding invitations and thank-you notes? I was wondering if there are any good places to find supplies for that. Also, I've had people suggest traveling over to some cheaper areas out west to plan the wedding, but I'm not really feeling that idea, even if prices are lower there. Has anyone actually done that?
Unplanned pregnancy in Women's Health ·
I know a girl who ended up pregnant at 14, and since her mom wasn't around in the States, her dad had to sign off on the abortion. I guess I'm not entirely sure if he actually had to go with her, though... I don't really know how the laws work for teenagers aged 14 or 15, but I suppose I'm not certain if a minor can undergo the procedure without parental consent.

Rebecca Scott3 said:Most psychiatrists and psychologists are recruited from people who already have issues in their own heads. They're often manipulators looking for literal power over another human being. I can't think of any other profession where you can legally ruin someone's life and then call it "helping" or "therapy." I feel for anyone who ends up in their hands.
Don't worry about me; I'm doing just fine. Actually, I'm doing a whole lot better than that psychiatrist who would love to have me under his thumb if he were actually smart enough to pull it off. You think I tell him about singing the songs of the Era from the great beyond? No way. I just tell him how I listen to classical music to relax and how I sing every day, and then everything is perfectly fine.
The difference is I can tell you guys what I actually do because none of you are going to lock me up or force-feed me pills. At the end of the day, what do you really know about my life? For all you know, maybe I spend my time picking grapes on a chimney. Or maybe you're actually my doctor, interrogating me online to check in on me, but you could never be sure who I am because I say something completely different when I'm sitting in the office. Go ahead, try to guess who I am. Maybe I stopped by to visit you yesterday and spent the whole time talking about chickens.
And now, I'll throw in a scary face just to give you a little fright.
🙂🙂😢🤔🙂🙂

You really made my day. Reading your posts gave me such a good laugh that my mood instantly improved, even though my whole day was going terribly!😂😂😂

Rebecca Scott3 said:Honestly, try singing "Era" when you're dealing with a crisis and see how much it helps... it actually works!

Psychiatrists are basically just mini Mengele clones. They’re out there testing meds on you, mostly just drugging you into a stupor until you're numb, all while padding their own pockets. I haven't met a single shrink who didn't have the same shady playbook. Honestly, the best way to deal with them is to play along and mess with them.
I’ll go in and make up some ridiculous problem, and she lights up like a Christmas tree. Then she starts spinning these theories, spinning and spinning, until—bam—she hands me some sedative.
Meanwhile, I've still got this sensation like someone is hammering a nail directly into my spine with every single step I take, and nobody does anything about it. Sometimes I get this overwhelming urge to just slice open my scalp and pull the pain out myself, but they tell me that would lead to "other problems"—apparently, I might lose my vision, which would be an even bigger disaster than this. Thank God she didn't suggest amputating my leg just to solve the issue.

Based on what you've written, I guess you've dealt with plenty of psychiatrists in your life.
Maybe just keep singing the Era, because I don't think psychology really has an answer for cases like yours, though it might help!

That actually happens to me quite often, where I just can't stop laughing... I guess my parents always told me I was like that, just constantly laughing like a little kid...😁

Sometimes I find myself laughing hysterically at absolutely nothing... or maybe just cracking up at some silly little thing that doesn't even seem that funny to anyone else. I know it’s probably a bit weird, but I guess I just can't help it!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
