Here’s a few more ideas for those teen birthday cakes if you're looking for inspiration

Honestly, back when I was living in Vatican City, I tried pretty much everything they made—cakes, pastries, the whole nine yards—and I was totally stoked with what they turned out 👍

Kimberly Kern2 said:Think of it like those decorative garden canopies you see at fancy outdoor weddings—not quite a flat tent, more like a circular gazebo setup. The catch? It’s way less stable. If a sudden storm rolls through, the whole thing is basically toast. Plus, it's a hell of a lot smaller than a standard shelter.

I actually dealt with some folks from Smalltown, USA once and I was super happy with them. If I recall correctly, the setup had these two little towers and the footprint was about 5x7m.
I know for a fact they were cheaper than the options from General Motors, but I can't quite remember the exact price tag.
Back then, they weren't offering tables or dinnerware sets, but I'm pretty sure they were looking to expand into that kind of stuff. If you want, I can try to track down their number for you?
So, I finally saw that second line pop up on the test and honestly, I’m over the moon right now.😍
It’s all still sinking in, though—I haven't really had any crazy symptoms or anything, just a missed period, a quick test, and boom, there it is!

Now I’m spiraling a little bit wondering which vitamins I should start loading up on? I haven't taken a single supplement yet, and I’m low-key freaking out because I just want everything to be perfect and healthy from day one.

The whole setup took maybe 3 minutes...
They confirmed via email, we picked them up, and it was smooth sailing.

I actually used Grafoart back when I was in Denver and I couldn't have been happier with the results,
if I remember correctly, there’s an album showing off their work sitting right in the Vegas Golden Knights arena in the Baron Trenk lounge!

Check it out—you can see the cake I had on this page. They did this multi-tiered thing where every single layer was a different flavor, so guests could basically pick their own adventure—fruit, chocolate, walnut, hazelnut, you name it.
The one I went with is number 3 with the little bows. One detail that doesn't really show up in the photo, but I thought was a pretty slick touch, is that they etched these subtle little concentric circles into the top of each tier—like, very discreetly recessed designs.

So, I ended up reserving a dress at Stephanie's, but honestly? It was purely because the dress itself was killer! It wasn't that the staff were rude or anything—they were just incredibly pushy.
Here’s how my experience went down: I decided to go dress hunting at VK, and naturally, I picked Stephanie's as my first stop. I walk in, they serve me up, and I try on maybe ten different dresses. I find one that I actually love and tell them, "Yeah, this one is beautiful," but since I hadn't checked out any other shops yet, I wasn't ready to pull the trigger just yet. And that’s when the hovering begins. Since my big day is coming up sooner than I realize (even though there's still over 6 months left), they started acting like the place was packed—like they couldn't even find a place to sit. And get this—it felt like everyone in the shop was looking for something for a September wedding. Suddenly, they start lecturing me about the price (which they had already told me) and the deposit. They even suggested that if I didn't have the cash for a deposit right then, I could just leave my driver's license as collateral.
I was genuinely worried I'd regret not grabbing it, because apparently, some other girls have had their perfect dresses snatched up while they were still thinking it over, leading to total meltdowns... it's a never-ending cycle.
By the time I walked out of that boutique, I was absolutely exhausted from the pressure. I didn't even look at another single dress for an entire month after that. Fast forward to when I finally finished my shopping tour: I decided to go back for their dress, and wouldn't you know it? Nobody had even touched it, even after a month had passed!
Good luck to all you ladies out there on the hunt, because it can be a real grind!

Brian Cooper4 said:Hey ladies—has anyone here worked with that Fullhouse agency out of Vinkovci on invitations? They sent an offer to my inbox, and I'm trying to gauge if they're actually any good... we're basically stuck with whatever we find here in Chicago. Also, does anyone know a reliable print shop in Slavonski Brod? I’m heading there this Sunday to visit my grandma and some relatives, so if you have any solid recommendations, let me know. Thanks.

I worked with GrafoArt www.pozivnice.org over in Đakovo, and I was seriously happy with everything—both the service and the price.
I didn't just pick something from their standard catalog; instead, the lady and I brainstormed a custom design together, and it turned out awesome. Prices usually run anywhere from $3 to $5, or even $2.00, depending on how much handiwork they have to do on them.
I can shoot you a PM with her phone number, and I can even send over a photo if you want to see what mine looked like 👍

Does anyone actually sell homemade cherry liqueur? Like, the real deal, small-batch stuff? Or does anyone know a plug who might have some lying around?
I was originally planning on handing out little shot glasses filled with the good stuff as party favors, but man, I didn't realize finding high-quality, homemade cherry brandy would be such a mission.
Most people I know only make enough for their own pantries, so they aren't looking to run a business—but I'm happy to buy it off you by the bottle. I'm probably looking at needing maybe 10-15 liters total to make this work.
Please, help a girl out! If you've got a stash or a lead, hit me up via DM.🙏

So which ones did you end up picking, and are they gonna bleed you dry?

I’m actually having mine done by them right now and honestly, I’m loving it.
The lady there really knows her stuff—I basically just showed up with a vague vision in my head, and she actually helped me bring it to life. It’s not like those other places where they just give you a handful of cookie-cutter templates where all you can do is swap out the text.
She told me once I make my final call, she can have everything printed in like 2 or 3 days, which is insanely fast if you ask me!
Now I just need to scramble, figure out the wording, and get the order in before she heads out on vacation!
Good luck with the invites—if you end up going with them, I really don't think you'll regret it.

Hey everyone, I really need some advice here!
I’ve been obsessing over wedding arrangements and my dream >, and honestly, I think I’m leaning heavily toward alstroemeria. The problem is, I have zero clue what actually looks good with them. I was thinking maybe some tiny spray roses or carnations, but since I don't have many photos to look at, I'm having a hard time picturing how it would all come together—you know how it is when you can't quite see the vision in your head.
If any of you ladies actually used alstroemeria in your wedding arrangements, please, please drop some photos below!
Oh, and one more thing—are these things going to break the bank? Is the pricing crazy?

Hey everyone—has anyone here actually worked with FedEx out of Savannah for custom invitation printing?
I’ve been scrolling through Facebook forever and honestly, I just can't find a print shop that gets my vision. Most places just have these cookie-cutter templates where they swap out the text or just reorder some stock designs, but you can't really change anything else. It’s all just... the same.
Anyway, I ran into the folks from FedEx at a trade show in Indianapolis, and a woman there mentioned they do fully custom work upon request.
Does anyone know how their process actually works and what kind of damage it does to my wallet?

Thanks, guys!
So I actually swung by the Vigus shop over at VK today, and get this—they’re renting out that 5x7 for $233 plus $1.00 per mile since they handle all the assembly themselves.

Does anyone happen to know where I can rent one of those white event tents—you know, those little domes people set up in their yards? Nothing massive, maybe around 15 feet long. I just need a spot to set up a buffet spread for when everyone arrives at my place to pick me up...
What’s the damage like for a rental?
Also, do these companies handle the actual setup, and do the tents come with some kind of flooring—like a carpet or something—or are you just setting them right on the grass?
If anyone has the inside scoop, you’d be doing me a huge favor!

160-$73 my bad—I meant specifically regarding the individual, totally forgot to mention that in the first place.

Robin Myers said:What's the damage going to be for all that catering and booze? Down in a town like Columbus, there's this one Super store where you can grab artificial flowers, greenery, and ribbons to DIY your own boutonnieres. For a hundred guests, I ended up spending about 400--$167 on supplies, though if I’d gone with fresh rosemary, it probably would have hit $67, but I really wanted actual flowers...😍

If they're all charging somewhere between 160 and $73, then honestly, it just depends on your guest count (usually the more people you bring, the lower the per-head cost).
Plus, lunch at their Salaš ten lasts $267 the whole day, and you don't have to worry about bringing a single thing—plates, glasses, whatever... they handle it all.👍

Hey everyone, so I'm actually getting hitched this year, which means I'm officially coming to the experts to pick your brains for some advice.
We've already locked in our venue—Barun Trenka VK (the Bos halls)—so I was wondering if anyone here has hosted an event there? I’d love some pointers on the little details I should keep an eye on and what specific stuff I need to hammer out with them during planning. We’re doing the full package through them—drinks, catering, desserts, the whole nine yards—but I haven't pulled the trigger on the wedding cake yet since I'm still in the dark about how they handle those.
The day after the big day, we're doing a lunch over at their Salaš ten spot; it’s absolutely gorgeous there, plus it's a total lifesaver because they handle all the setup and transport themselves.
I also managed to book the Quattro band from out in OS, and they seem pretty solid—definitely look like they know how to keep a crowd moving!
Now, I'm still hunting for a killer photographer in the area, plus I need to figure out flowers, boutonnieres... the usual stuff.
