$1200, I honestly think this is only the third time someone’s even worn it... though I can't be entirely certain. But you know what? It doesn't even matter to me! It feels absolutely brand new, and I couldn't care less if it’s supposedly "well-loved" 😁 just because it’s been out a few times already! Honestly, I felt absolutely stunning while wearing it! 😍

Now, correct me if I’m wrong here—I think Cibalia Photography has a shop somewhere over near Glagoljaska in Indianapolis or somewhere close by, right? Honestly, whatever they had out in the window didn't do much for me—though that might just be the result of looking at way too many photos online, both local and international 🤣.

In the Indianapolis area, if you ask me, Cibalia Photography gives you the best bang for your buck.

I ended up renting mine at an upscale boutique over in Indianapolis...😍 I honestly have to give a huge shout-out to the ladies there for being so incredibly patient and kind! They were just so sweet and stayed remarkably calm, even though the salon was absolutely packed with clients right before and after my appointment!

Paul Taylor4 said:Can anyone point me toward a decent bridal boutique that isn't in St. Louis? I’m looking to branch out since the prices around here are absolutely insane—I honestly have no clue what the standard rate even is anymore. I actually really dig Isabelle over on Republic Avenue; they carry that Sposin collection, so if anyone knows of somewhere else with a similar vibe, please let me know!

Well, there is a bridal shop over in a city like Memphis... I can't recall the exact name, but it's right by the hotel parking lot near the Mississippi River. From what I've heard through the grapevine, they carry brands like M. Sottero and things along those lines, and apparently, the prices are quite reasonable. I haven't actually stepped foot inside yet—I've only peered through the window a couple of times—but I didn't see anything that particularly caught my eye personally... Still, it might be worth a look! Honestly, you could check out the shops in Indianapolis or even head over to Memphis on Long Street, though I suspect the price difference might be negligible anyway...

Maria Ramirez4 said:Anyone heard anything about that hall near the downtown campus, right above the student union cafeteria? A lawyer friend mentioned an acquaintance held a wedding there maybe six or seven months back—around 300 guests, give or take five. Just wondering if anyone actually knows anything about the place.

I am actually quite certain that such a specific venue doesn't exist under that name! If I had to guess, I believe people are likely referring to the general space managed by the Student Union itself. I am certainly aware that weddings are hosted there, and honestly, the rental fees are incredibly budget-friendly—definitely much more affordable than any of the other banquet halls in the surrounding area...

So, looks like I’ll be playing tourist in local salons instead. Anyone have any solid leads? I really don't have the luxury of wandering around aimlessly looking for perfection. 🙄

Just let me know what area you're in... you can always send me a private message, and I'll do my absolute best to point you toward somewhere that can pull this off.

and I’m still stuck in this total limbo regarding my hair. I need some kind of headpiece or accessory, but honestly? I have zero clue where to even start looking or how to navigate this whole thing. Does anyone actually know anything about this?

I was thinking maybe I could swing by some bridal boutiques to ask, but I'm not sure if they even carry those kinds of things, or if I can even rent or buy something there if I don't end up getting the actual dress from them.

Help a girl out! 😵😵

I would suggest asking at the same bridal salon where you plan to rent your gown. Honestly, I'm a little surprised they haven't brought it up to you already! If they don't have anything, try reaching out to the hairstylist who will be doing your wedding look; they might be able to special order something for you, whether you're looking for those sparkly crystal pieces or perhaps a delicate hair vine...🤷

dustypanther12 said:Krizmanić is capable of producing incredible work, but honestly, it really just comes down to how much effort he puts in and which specific crew he sends out to cover a wedding. In my experience, there seem to be about three or four different teams working under him. Sometimes they hit it out of the park with both the video and the photos, but other times, it’s just a total miss. For instance, looking through the photos from those third weddings I saw, there were three completely different styles of editing going on. To make matters worse, in some shots, every other guest looks like they’ve lost half their head due to poor framing. It makes me think there's really only one true professional in the mix here...
Then again, in those other weddings, everything looked absolutely perfect. It really wouldn't hurt to double-check which specific team is being assigned to your big day...

Well, we have already reached an agreement with him, specifically requesting that either he personally handles it or his son does. We made that a non-negotiable part of our deal, so there shouldn't be any issues at all.

I’ve always considered myself a rather plain and unassuming person by nature, but when it comes to our wedding guests, I simply insist on nothing less than absolute perfection. We strive to make everything flawless to the very best of our abilities. It isn’t just about hosting them; it’s about truly embracing them, and we certainly don't regret going all out. Honestly, I highly doubt we'll ever look back and wish we had done less! Of course, I have to be incredibly meticulous—just as I am with any other vendor, from the florist to the live band—to ensure every single detail is executed exactly as promised. That goes for the photographer as well, whether we end up working with Krizmanić or Hoyka and Mar Milin.

Justin Martinez3 said:See, that’s really just a matter of personal taste. I actually had the chance to look at some work from Krizmanić Photography, and honestly? The DVD was great, but the actual photos... not so much. I don't know—everything with the wedding shots felt like it was coming out of the same mold, just the same old poses over and over again. It felt kind of lackluster. Then again, who knows? Maybe I just caught them on an off day when they were having a bit of a slump. Either way, for me, the DVD was fine, but the 👍 photos 👎 weren't quite there.

No offense intended, but that's just my honest 🙂 take on his photography style.

In my view, though, we aren't talking about subjective taste anymore, but rather the actual quality of a specific piece of work. I truly believe that there isn't a single photographer out there who hasn't messed something up at least once in their career! Ultimately, people choose what resonates with them, and let's be honest, price is usually the deciding factor for most folks. Also, I've noticed a bit of a trend: in my neck of the woods in the Midwest, photographers almost always double as videographers, whereas in places like Washington, D.C. or other major cities, they tend to hire a photographer and a videographer as two separate professionals.

The Krizmanić Photography family studio is truly something else. They’re probably the most famous photographers in Columbus, and honestly, their calendar is booked so far in advance it feels like you need to schedule a session years ahead of time, haha! I mean, they are just incredibly high in demand... though I can't quite put my finger on where all their clients are coming from specifically...

Honestly, I have to admit that I walked away feeling quite disappointed after visiting the wedding expo in Indianapolis. The absolute highlight of my day—the one thing that truly brightened my spirits—was that singing competition they held for the couples! They were all such charming, lovely people, weren't they? But as for the expo itself, I feel it was somewhat doomed from the start, primarily because they decided to mash together wedding planning with baby gear and children's products... It felt so disjointed! On top of that, there were so few vendors to browse through; the whole affair just seemed rather lackluster and underwhelming to me...😢

I absolutely love this concept; it sounds incredibly intriguing! When I first started planning my own event, I had this exact same vision of sticking strictly to a black-and-white palette, but I eventually found myself second-guessing the whole thing.
Imagine using a crisp white lace fabric paired with those sleek black ribbons... you could easily inject a pop of something totally wild, like a hot pink or a vibrant violet... honestly, why limit yourself to just two tones? Technically speaking, black and white aren't even "colors," so they really just serve as a sophisticated canvas to make a bright, bold accent color truly sing... 🤷😁

@ Chris Sanchez11 - I am absolutely voting for that first one, the modern version! It is just wild! Even with those little hearts included! 😁😍

The Babylon band from Gradište and the Prijatelji crew from Jarmina are both absolutely fantastic! I actually had the pleasure of hearing Babylon perform at a few weddings where they didn't play any traditional folk music, which left such a wonderful impression on me—they even played some great international hits! They really are top-notch performers. I'm not entirely sure if they usually lean into the more traditional stuff, though...
As for the Prijatelji group, they have that quintessential, authentic local vibe. Honestly, both bands are incredible at getting the party started; I had such an amazing time at weddings featuring either one of them...

Memphis - Delicije makes these incredibly delicious, beautifully decorated cookies...
Columbus - Figaro - that's where I always pick mine up. They are truly wonderful and just as lovely to look at...
In Indianapolis, I actually know this sweet lady in a small town in Ohio who makes them; if you're interested, I can ask a friend for her number! She provided them for weddings, and they are just genuine, homemade treats...if you want her contact info, just shoot me a private message and I'll reach out to her for you.

I’m planning on having about 400 guests at my wedding, and my pastry chef has informed me that I’ll need a cake weighing in at roughly 45 pounds! I actually posted a little photo above where I scaled things up just a bit, but essentially, it’s going to be a two-tier masterpiece. The bottom tier will be roughly 25 by 20 inches, and the top one will be about 22 by 16 inches, so both layers are going to be absolutely massive. Please, please don't worry about there not being enough cake for everyone—honestly, most people barely even touch it anyway!
