Best student PC build for CAD? in Desktops · Jul 3, 2016

I need a build capable of running AutoCAD 2D/3D, CATIA, and SolidWorks smoothly.
It’s for schoolwork—nothing massive, no huge assemblies or insane levels of detail.
Just the tower; I don't need a monitor or peripherals.
Would an AMD A8 x4 7650 k with integrated graphics cut it, or am I forced to buy a dedicated GPU?

Best laptop for AutoCAD, CATIA, and Solid Edge? in Laptops · Jun 20, 2016

I need a recommendation for a laptop that can actually handle the software listed above. I don't want everything lagging or stuttering constantly. Is there anything decent available for $1500? I'm a high schooler and have to complete assignments using these programs. I don't need it for gaming since I already have an Xbox One.

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LP 2x4GB
HDD: 1TB
CASE: Zalman Z3+
Throwing in a few games with it.
