,, or you two can just jump in one car, we'll roll out together in one decked-out ride,, personally I think splitting up is just stupid, let's just go together 🙂
So I booked Jack, but we haven't hammered out the specifics yet... I've been hearing he's super cheap, but his quote felt a bit steep to me, so now we're basically going back to the drawing board for a "correction." Maybe I was being a little too demanding, who knows... anyway, I'll let you guys know what the final damage looks like once it's set, since I have a ton of stuff for him to handle 🙂
Anyone know if that wedding expo in Indianapolis is actually happening from January 15th to the 17th... you know, this coming weekend at Hotel Osijek? I heard there's another one on February 12th in Indianapolis too, so now I'm just confused about which one is which. Any local ladies out there know the deal? If you've seen any flyers floating around, let me know 🙂))
I haven't been on this forum in forever, so I'm still figuring out how everything works here...
My partner and I are getting married on September 4th, 2010.
We've already booked the Grand Ballroom in Pittsburgh (www.zuki.hr), a killer band from Indianapolis, and we've got a florist lined up from a nearby town. Now we're just stuck looking for a photographer and a videographer...
Does anyone have any solid recommendations for someone in the area?
Yeah, I actually highly recommend Krizmanić too. I've heard nothing but good things, even though I didn't end up using them... we went with someone from Savannah because they were the cheapest option, but they did a solid job, at least based on my friend's wedding. But honestly, Krizmanić was our second choice right after the guy from Savannah.🙂

If I recall correctly, the setup had these two little towers and the footprint was about 5x7m. I know for a fact they were cheaper than the options from General Motors, but I can't quite remember the exact price tag. Back then, they weren't offering tables or dinnerware sets, but I'm pretty sure they were looking to expand into that kind of stuff. If you want, I can try to track down their number for you?
I'm out here collecting every contact I can find... once I hunt down the best deal, I'll let you know.🙂
Henry Thompson5 said:Hey! I actually rented a tent for about 80 people—complete setup with white tables and benches, roughly 10x4.5m, everything included for $233, plus they handled delivery and assembly... went through Miller's outfit over in Rural County near Indianapolis. If you want their info, I can shoot you a DM.
Kimberly Kern2 said:Well, I'm back... I really hope Sarah Taylor4 gave you his number so you can just reach out and get it sorted. Honestly, my memory is shot—I can't even remember what kind of budget we were looking at anymore. Regarding the tent, it’s white and comes in various sizes, but let's be real: a tent is just a tent. That said, we paired the tent with one of those pavilions, and if you aren't expecting a massive crowd, I cannot recommend that enough. It's absolutely gorgeous.
I feel kind of stupid asking, but what exactly is a pavilion???
I'm thinking about having maybe 50-60 people for lunch—just immediate family and close friends... mostly so my time isn't wasted waiting for everyone to show up and "find me"...🙂
Morgan Stewart50 said:If I can offer one small piece of advice, please DO NOT rent from that guy over in Bunardžija from Rockville. His tents are absolutely covered in mold—honestly, the only thing about his service that's actually "cheap" is the quality!
Well, I actually did reach out to some people in Rockville. That guy is slightly cheaper than the rest, but I can't even remember his name. Besides, they don't really have much of an inventory for tents anyway, and their prices are just... ugh, yikes...
Now I'm seriously worried about this whole >mold< situation,,, man, what a mess...😢
and honestly, it’s pretty tough to find a decent band on short notice... I’m just playing backup. Sax player, and we play just about everything except that cheesy country stuff
Sandra Morgan7 said:Hey everyone, quick question—does anyone know where I can pick up some decent, budget-friendly candles around Indianapolis? I’m not looking for those little floating ones either; I need the thicker, standard pillar types... kind of like these:

Thanks!
All I know is you can find every color and style at CVS, but their prices aren't exactly great...
but if you hit up a Walgreens, you can grab the big ones for like a couple of bucks
I mean, I'm with you on that... the young crowd matters, along with what they actually want to see, plus having a solid group there to set the right vibe on the dance floor... honestly, we were thinking around 200 people at first, but that number keeps climbing... 🙂
I’d also highly recommend Studio 54 🙏 for pretty much anything—hair, nails, makeup, spray tans... Tom really nails it, and Anita does great work too. 🙏
Nah, definitely not,,, I actually passed by there today,, looks fine to me,,, we'll just have to see if the service actually sucks or not...
Justin Martinez3 said:B. Mary, I see you’re getting hitched next summer—so, what’s the plan for the guest list? Are we talking a massive blowout or just a small, intimate thing? Have you guys even scouted out a venue yet?
Around 300 people... I’d call that a mid-sized crowd. Where I grew up in the Midwest, weddings are always massive operations. We already booked the Grand Ballroom at the Plaza, which is easily the best venue around...
