Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
Taylor Smith3 said:I ended up pushing it back an entire month just because it was the easiest way out. But honestly, if it isn't that big of a deal to you—it wasn't like I was missing a major milestone or anything, just a friend's wedding—then don't worry about it. I was being absolutely impossible. Between the crying fits and the irritability, I was a total nightmare... I was seriously counting down the days until my period finally arrived.

Olivia Rivera77 said:Look, this is the honest truth: I’ve been down that road myself, and let me tell you, it completely wrecks your hormone balance. You end up feeling like you're losing your mind. At the end of the day, it's your call—nothing catastrophic is going to happen—but honestly, it might just make things worse for you. When those hormones are out of whack, they really take a toll on your system.😲Sigh...

I’m in! Count me in.

I went through the exact same thing. I ended up going through two boxes in a row, and I was on the verge of a total nervous breakdown for an entire month. I was stuck in a state of constant, intense PMS the whole time. 😱

So, if it isn't absolutely necessary, I’d suggest you just skip it.

Once you finish this box, move straight onto the next one without any breaks, then take a seven-day hiatus. If you just keep going from one pack to the next, you'll effectively solve the issue of delaying your period, allowing you to simply pick up another box in a month.
Blocked Fallopian Tubes in Women's Health ·
Angela Wright said:There’s actually a procedure known as tubal insufflation, or what some call "tubal flushing." It’s typically performed when there's a suspicion that the fallopian tubes might be blocked, often due to chronic inflammation. The timing is key—it's done during the first phase of the cycle, right after menstruation ends. The goal is to determine if the tubes are clear, which essentially tells us whether natural conception is a viable option. This specific method doesn't require an overnight stay; it only takes a few minutes, though you might feel some mild discomfort. However, if you need an HSG (hysterosalpingogram) or a laparoscopic procedure—which also assess the status of the tubes—you would need to be admitted to the hospital. Ultimately, your OB-GYN will decide which route is best for you.

Is that something you do through your own doctor's office or at a hospital? And what is the official name for it? I was under the impression that if there was any doubt about blocked tubes, they would only perform an HSG or laparoscopy!

JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs offer Visa debit cards. (They need to have that three-digit security code on the back)
Some people mentioned Bank of America, but I'm not 100% sure about that one.

If there's a security code on the back, you're good to go. Honestly, though, since it's tied to a basic checking account, I'm not sure how smart it is to use it for heavy shopping, given what that account is meant for.
Just open a foreign currency account at Goldman Sachs and grab a debit card (one-time $6.75 fee)—there are no monthly maintenance fees.

Hmm... 🤔 No, I don't have a security code! I'll just open a foreign currency account at JPMorgan Chase; that seems like the safest bet. When I pay online, I just enter the card number and the other details, right? I won't need a card reader or anything?
I assume I won't get the physical card right away—probably takes about two weeks to process—but I can start using it for online shopping immediately since all I need is the number, right?

I have one more question... A few years back, I opened a checking account at JPMorgan Chase while I was working a student job. The card I received was an Intel debit card. I know I used it to make purchases a few times back then—entering my PIN after swiping—but I haven't touched it in years because I primarily use my current debit card along with my Diners and Amex credit cards. Now I’m wondering, can I actually use that old JPMorgan Chase Intel card for online shopping?

I’m looking to order a few things online this week, and while I know using credit cards is perfectly secure, I’d feel much better if I just transferred a couple thousand dollars onto that specific JPMorgan Chase account. It feels safer to me to limit the funds available for those transactions so, is that actually possible to do online?

So, let’s brainstorm: what kind of cards can you actually use for online shopping if you don't have a credit card? Specifically, I'm looking for options available to a student who doesn't have a steady stream of income yet.
Spotting: What's your experience? in Women's Health ·
You really need to schedule an appointment with your OB-GYN as soon as possible. Light spotting can definitely be a sign of pregnancy, especially if you've already missed your period.
