Anonymous said:So, what’s the vibe like at Holy Cross on a boat? Does anyone know if it's actually a good spot to host a party? I'm curious about the prices, the service, and the overall atmosphere—is it worth checking out or should I skip it?
I was scrolling through some photos online and it looks stunning. Has anyone here actually been there and can share their experience? 🙂

I went to a party there a few years back and had a blast... then again, I was there for New Year's last year and everything was perfect—service, food, cleanliness, all of it.
I think they're charging about $40 now—I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's the ballpark...
Holy Cross isn't like, some jaw-droppingly fancy venue, but overall it's solid and I'd definitely recommend it.

Sandra Lee4 said:I'm with Nicholas Ortiz8 on this one—that California studio is fantastic; I used them myself and they really earned my respect...👍 the only catch is the turnaround time. I haven't received my digital files or prints yet because they are apparently swamped with work... as soon as they're ready, I'll post them... for now, I only have some amateur shots... a few of them are in the thread.

Can I get a password for those photos?🙂
Usually, you're looking at anywhere from a month and a half to two months for the prints and the DVD to arrive....

Steven Gonzalez6 said:Hey, I need some quick advice on flowers, and what’s the actual damage? Just trying to nail down the details before they rip me off.

I'm totally with what Raymond Brooks7 said here...👍
It all depends on so many things—like, which flowers you're after, the season, if you just want a simple bouquet, an arrangement for the car and the hall, or if you're doing a full setup for the church and the house... everything matters. Plus, obviously, the florist makes a huge difference. My advice? Decide on the type of flowers or the combo you want first, then definitely hit up a few different shops to get some quotes. It happened to me once where one shop wanted $267, but another was only asking $117 😲

I might be rambling a bit—🙄 but seriously, whatever you need to know, just ask!😉

I heard a rumor that Amogos in Malibu is shutting its doors next year.

Seriously, man—you’re always dropping news about rooms being closed off! 😁
Quinn:
I can't believe I'm even bringing this up—but honestly, Ivančica? Just... wow. Asks:
Shoot me a DM!
Check your PMs...😉
So, I stumbled upon something new today...
It’s this newly opened wedding planning studio, though they actually focus more on the custom stuff—like invitations, thank-you notes, boutonnieres, confetti, and all that good gear...

They're located over in a suburb near Los Angeles—right on the main road, just across from the elementary school...
There's also a photo studio tucked inside—it's on the second floor, and there's a local bakery right downstairs on the ground level...

Honestly, everything I saw looked amazing—so if any of you ladies are looking for something special, definitely go check them out... if anyone wants their number, just shoot me a DM and I'll send it over...

The studio is called Kevin.

Susan Rivera2 said:Maybe San Francisco, Oakland, or perhaps somewhere like Malibu—something along those lines. Anyway, I'll probably swing by that area for a bit. Thanks.

So you've got Dolis over in Dugopolje
Bolero in San Francisco
Bellevue in Trogir
Maestral in Plano
Holy Cross in Ciovo
Castello Dugopolje in Oakland

Those venues can definitely handle that many guests... hey, you should just come to our wedding in California!😉

Raymond Brooks7 said:The business district in Boise features both Iowa and Elite—Iowa sits right near Studenac, while Elite is right at the start if you’re heading out from ST, just past Dolisa

Ružica is located over in Mejaš, right on the ground floor of the Dacia Nirs dealership

Nirs is situated by the prison over in Bilica

Wait, little correction from me... the shop is actually Elifa...😍

Brandon Castillo2 said:I was wondering what the vibe is like at the Castello hall over in the coastal area (it’s a bit smaller, under 2,000 sq ft).
Do you think they have enough staff to keep up with the food service and everything?
Has anyone actually been to a party there lately?

I’m honestly torn between that spot and Bellevue in Savannah. I could really use some advice here.

I can't really help you out with Castello since I haven't been there... but man, I can't recommend the Bellevue hall in Savannah enough! 👍
Just wanted to breathe some life back into this thread...
Ružica Commerce isn't at the 3rd Street location anymore where they used to be...
They moved somewhere over to Mejas—and apparently, they'll be closed for about 8 months while they get settled in. 😉

Justin Booth88 said:Hey—thanks! They aren't actually that pricey—Viva costs about $2,300, and the singer told me their rates usually run between $1,500 and $2,000, depending on if it’s a trio, quartet, or quintet. I asked around at a few restaurants for business cards and everyone pointed me toward them if I wanted a band with a female vocalist. Honestly, that handball player could have hired anyone—I don't think money was the issue there. I got their CD and checked out a few of their videos on YouTube—they're great! I've made my decision—I haven't picked out flowers yet, but I need someone original, not just standard classics.

So, when is the party??

Over by the flower shops, I can recommend Užanca, Cvitak, or Emezzete flower shop Ispod skala (that's the one I used)
The flower shop in Walmart
In San Francisco, there's Iris, Keti... there are others, but nothing else is coming to mind right now😵

Justin Booth88 said:😍On Saturday, while we were heading out to check out the Bolero venue, we stumbled right into a wedding for a famous RUKOMETAŠA-SVIRALI — the Nera X Band. Honestly, calling them phenomenal is probably an understatement. Just a heads up, the Cili Band goes for about $2,000—if they're even available, I guess.🙂

I’ve never actually listened to them—but honestly, looking at those ticket prices? They must be incredible.
My advice? Just stick to lowercase—and hey, take a look at the instructions right under the first bullet point here. I can't believe how much things have changed—it feels like just yesterday we were all talking about this. Honestly, seeing everyone's takes now... it’s wild. Just a thought!
😉
Villa Margot...wow
The table setup for the seafood boil—no decor at all

Now, here's what it looks like with decorations added

Round tables, linens, bows—all those little details

P.S. If anyone wants the info on where I got these linens and bows, just shoot me a DM and I'll send over the number😉
Peter Fisher4 said:I don't get why people are making such a big deal out of this, honestly. It’s just some harmless fun, no need to make a mountain out of a molehill... I've been to plenty of BBQs where they played that stuff and I had a blast...

And maybe behind that username is actually the legendary vice....

You're honestly the first guy I've ever heard—well, read—writing in the feminine tense 😉
redpuma25 said:Hello, I am new to this forum. I am getting married on August 30th, 2008, and I am currently searching for musical entertainment—specifically, a band. Please provide some quality recommendations. Thanos

Check this out—there are plenty of numbers here depending on what you're looking for

Personally, I'd suggest Bomb—they're absolute fire... seriously top-tier stuff. Also, check out Bravo, Aurora, Milan, Matko, and Brane...

If I missed anyone, I'm sure other ladies on the forum will jump in to fill the gaps😍
Peter Fisher4 said:Jack and Vilma are playing for me, and honestly, I’m loving every second of it...

I was at a party where they were playing once... and man, oh man... if I started talking about Vince's terrible timing—it was just "come on, buddy, get it together!"—his best friend's husband almost lost it on him...
so, if you just want them to play the music and nothing else, maybe give Vince a heads-up to keep his mouth shut a little more...👍
Raymond Brooks7 said:I have to back this up. I heard the rumors that ExxonMobil has completely revamped their setup, and honestly? It sounds about right. I was there a few years back for a couple of shifts, and looking back on the service, the food, everything... I can’t even find anything to complain about. I was genuinely impressed. The staff were everywhere at once—you could barely see them because they were moving so fast—but somehow the ashtrays stayed spotless, the tables were always cleared, and you never had to wait thirty minutes just to get a drink. Everything just worked.

Raymond Brooks7... I'm not sure if I caught that right, but weren't they talking about a different place entirely, not ExxonMobil?🤷

you only fall in love once is what they say:
I finally tracked down a photographer—hired someone from California since I couldn't get an appointment with Smith (and honestly, I won't trust anyone else!)—but as for that Bravo band? Man, I went to two of their parties and I’m still recovering from the experience. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂 The sound system at the first one was so terrible it ruined everything else. Then the second time, the lead singer—I think his name is Peter—was so hoarse he sounded like he was literally screaming at us. At one point, his voice just gave out completely, so they basically just played some background noise for the rest of the night. As for Topnotch, I've heard mixed things... depends on whose party you're talking about.
I'm super picky when it comes to music. I want a group with a female vocalist who actually KNOWS how to sing—not people who step on your toes or crowd the dance floor like Victor and Wilma did (they actually forced me onto the floor at a wedding where I was the maid of honor!). I want pop-rock-latin vibes. Absolutely NO country or cheesy stuff—that's a hard pass for me. Just danceable tunes, even if they're international hits... I know, I know, I'm high maintenance, but what can I say?

well then, listen to Viva and you won't miss a thing👍

Peter Baker57 said:So, what exactly does this "wedding program" entail?

And are they even open tomorrow??🙂

They're open Saturday too—just like Alex Carter3 mentioned—they've got all those little details for the party...
I picked up some self-adhesive ribbons, decorative streamers, and those tiny confetti bits to toss at the newlyweds... plus, they have a huge selection of colorful gel-filled vases and all sorts of decor...

For all the girls looking for table decor, wedding dresses, or those little extra details for a wedding out in the hills near Los Angeles—just take that first right after you leave the city area near that local cafe and winery—there’s this shop called elife. Up until recently, they just sold individual items, but lately they've started offering full wedding planning services too! So if anyone is heading up that way, definitely swing by... they're open every day until 8 PM.
