I don't know... when you're facing the possibility of losing someone you love, I think I’d cling to just about anything—seriously, any method that actually showed some kind of results. My mom started taking Noni yesterday; she has esophageal cancer, and if nothing else, I just hope it helps shrink the tumor even slightly so she can eat normally and breathe easier without coughing so much...
And as for marketing, especially the private side of things, I've seen firsthand just how shady it can get. I worked last month for Divitor Domus, selling books in shops and sawmills, and honestly, the women there lie so much just to push those books on people that I find myself wondering where their conscience went. 😲

Ours is a happy story. My husband has finally reached the finish line of his chemo! After finishing 6 cycles of Adriamycin and Ifosfamide, 30 radiation sessions, and 4 more cycles of the DTIC protocol—he’s done. A successful finish! Our doctor looked at us with such a bright, smiling expression and said he’d be happy to wrap up the treatment right then and there. We just locked eyes and laughed together in pure relief. Now we just have some follow-ups to handle: a cardiac ultrasound, a CT scan in about a month, and a PET scan in mid-December. If the PET scan at Mayo Clinic shows anything suspicious or unclear, we’ll head over to Austria for a PET/CT. We’ve already scheduled the PET at Mayo for December 19th. Our only hurdle is figuring out where to get the CT since the machines at Mayo are currently down (and who knows when they'll be fixed...).
Anyway, I wanted to share this win with you all, just as I’ve shared the heavy stuff along the way... Sending so much love, luck, and HEALTH to every single one of you, your families, and your friends.
I’m still reading everything you post; you guys were my rock during the darkest times. 🙂
Oh my gosh, I am so incredibly happy for you! I can only imagine the weight lifting off your shoulders, and your husband too. 😉 Wishing you both nothing but the very best from the bottom of my heart. 🙂
A lot of people have told me that Noni isn't all that special, but hey, I’ll take whatever hope I can get right now...😢 My mom had her CT scan today, and she's heading in for an esophageal exam tomorrow. We won't see the results until next week, and if they decide on surgery, there will probably be a few more days of waiting after that...🙄I honestly don't get why everything takes so long. It's easy for doctors to say when it's just one more patient on their list, but it doesn't feel that way to us.🙄The waiting is what's actually killing me. Mom has been stuck in the hospital for almost two weeks now, and we still haven't gotten any concrete answers.👎And from what I can see, it's the same story for everyone else too. Our healthcare system has always been "top-tier"—meaning you'll likely pass away before you actually get the treatment you need. It's tragic, but it's the truth.
Honestly, thank you all so much for the advice. I could really use one more tip if anyone has it. She’s completely shut everyone out—she won't talk to anyone except her sister and my husband. She won't even look at me or listen to a word I say. My biggest fear is that once this whole ordeal is over (and I am praying so hard she pulls through), she might turn around one day and claim I wasn't even there for her.
My mother-in-law is battling lung cancer and is scheduled for six rounds of chemo (Pfizer). After her first session, she was dealing with intense bone pain, and by the second round, the nausea and vomiting were just brutal. It’s been a week since her third treatment, and now she’s struggling with debilitating headaches. She’s terrified that the cancer has spread to her brain. Has anyone else gone through something similar? Any advice on how we can help her get through this?
Music isn't dying, it's evolving 🙄 The whole era of MP3 players, streaming, and instant downloads actually helps music reach more people and get way more popular than ever before...
Sure, times change, but just because you aren't feeling the current vibe doesn't mean the industry is dying 😕
Hey everyone, I wanted to share something personal with you all. About two years ago, my ex-girlfriend's mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. The doctors were telling her she needed surgery immediately because she might not even make it another month—it was a total shock for her and the whole family. But despite everything, she turned down the surgery. In her eyes, the medical system had "screwed over" her father, her brother, and her uncle (who passed away on New Year's Day back in 2005). Shortly before that, she called my dad and told him she’d been drinking this "Noni juice" constantly and felt better quite quickly. Two months later—keep in mind they gave her only one month left—she went back for more tests, and the cancer was almost gone. It's true, since it's malignant, there's always a risk of it coming back, but she's still using the Noni juice and feels great. It's been over two years now and she's still with us. I talked it over with a doctor, and she mentioned that while results vary from person to person, it shouldn't cause any harm; there aren't any side effects (at least nothing life-threatening), so I think it's worth the risk. I'm going to pick up some of that juice for my mom tomorrow, and if anyone else is planning on trying it, please reach out and share your experiences.
You can find more info about the product on this page. Honestly, I really hope it helps my mom and anyone else who might need it. 😉
Dear Angela Wright, I know exactly what you’re going through... Honestly, I’m right in those first six months you mentioned. Up until this summer, I was living in this perfect little bubble for 27 years, and then everything just flipped upside down overnight because of my dad's illness. Those first few months were absolutely terrifying, and even now, I don't feel much better. I feel like nobody actually gets it—not even my boyfriend. I can't quite put my finger on what's happening inside me, but I feel like I'm slowly starting to accept the reality of it all, even though I'm still fighting it every single day. Right now, all I want is to be at home with my dad and the rest of the family. I want to soak up every single second with him because his diagnosis is devastating (they gave him 3 to 6 months), but I just refuse to believe it! I have zero desire to go out anymore, and most of my "friends" barely check in on me. It feels like they don't understand, and it's really hard. Sometimes I just don't have anyone to vent to, which is why this forum and prayer give me so much strength. Even though we haven't met, I feel this deep connection with all of you. Hang in there, everyone.
I completely get you; I'm in the exact same boat. It hits even harder for me because I'm adopted, so my mom and I had this incredibly special bond. We had our share of rough patches, mostly due to alcohol issues, but I always found it in my heart to forgive her and move past it. Like I said, she was just diagnosed with esophageal cancer today, and I have no idea what's going to happen—if she'll even be able to have surgery, how she'll cope, or how much time she has left... It’s such a massive shock because just over a month ago, she was perfectly healthy.
It breaks my heart to see her in the hospital, hooked up to that IV needle and all that gear. She can't eat normally, and watching her struggle through those tiny bites she forces herself to take is just agonizing.🙂
Until now, I think I just took everything for granted—our relationship, everything. But now, it feels like someone just dumped a bucket of ice water over my head.🙄
Jessica Flores78 said:Look, I’m one of those people who lives and breathes music—it’s basically my lifeblood. I don't think music itself is dying out; as long as there are humans around, there’s going to be music. The real issue is the quality of what's being pumped out. It feels like we're drowning in cheap, mass-produced pop garbage while actual talented artists are getting pushed to the sidelines. Plus, nobody really buys physical albums anymore; you just search for a track on Spotify or Google and hit download. So, the music isn't disappearing, but the soul and quality definitely are.
@mistyranger48: My heart goes out to you. Since it’s been a few days now, I assume your husband's service has passed and you're starting to process everything. I truly hope you find strength during this time and have plenty of support to lean on 😉
My mom was just diagnosed with esophageal cancer today. We aren't even sure if surgery is an option yet because the tumor is quite large...
I honestly don't even know how to feel right now. I'm just lost, terrified of what's coming, and I'm praying so hard that my mom gets at least another year or two 🙄
On another note, I stumbled across something online about a Dr. Sipati from Santa Barbara. According to his website, he specializes in bioenergy and other alternative methods for treating serious illnesses like cancer and epilepsy Here is his website:
So, I wanted to get your take—is this stuff actually worth looking into, or is it just a quick way for someone to make a buck? 😕 Has anyone here ever worked with him?
I’m actually looking for some advice on how to put on some weight too 🥳 But I need something besides just hitting the gym, working out constantly, or mindless binge eating—because honestly, I already do way too much of that 🤣
northernfox9 said:First off, my heart goes out to everyone who has lost someone close to them over these last few days. I absolutely hate seeing this happen. 😠 ) I see there are a lot of new people around here (which honestly just makes me hate this place even more). Things around here are just all over the place—nothing ever seems to go right. 👎 My dad couldn't finish his full course of treatment; he had to stop on day 30. It’s been 12 days since then, and things are honestly looking worse. Even though he’s finally started eating again, he still doesn't have the strength to even roll over in bed, let alone sit up or stand. Then things took a turn for the worse with yellow stools and dark urine—which is a huge red flag that his liver might be struggling. He also developed a fever; he wouldn't let us take his temperature, but we can tell because he’s constantly feeling hot and his face is flushed. Things seemed to settle down for a moment, but the symptoms haven't gone away. To make matters worse, he’s been dealing with diarrhea through last night and today. My mom mentioned that his last bowel movement today actually looked like a normal color, so maybe there's still a tiny glimmer of hope...🙏 I’m actually a little afraid to even write about mental health right now. Everything Angela Wright, Melissa Kim45, brightgardener8, and everyone else has been posting lately feels like they just took a page out of our book. 👎 He’s lashing out with the most horrific insults and profanity I’ve ever heard in my life. He just sits there, repeating the exact same sentence over and over again like a broken record. If you even try to touch his arm or his leg, he snaps. He completely shuts down whenever anyone mentions seeing a doctor, running tests, or looking at medical results. He won't hear a word about having a home health nurse or any kind of visiting caregiver come by. The only person he’ll allow near him is his mom, but she’s already absolutely exhausted and reaching her breaking point. He doesn't have the strength to even shave himself, yet he refuses to let anyone else step in to help. He won't even let us wipe him down with a wet cloth—don't even get me started on trying to help him wash or bathe. It’s the worst part—they're refusing to drink anything, and even when they try, they can barely manage a tiny sip. They’re struggling to get even half a liter down in an entire day.
Unfortunately, we all know this was—or maybe still is—his one shot at making it through, so all we can really do now is pray. But we’re still holding on to hope, and we still believe. I’ve been having a really rough time lately...
I really feel for you and I truly get what you're going through. It’s not just this situation with your mom, either—I went through my own share of hell last year with my dad. He took a nasty fall and injured a bone in his back; it wasn't a broken spine or anything, but he was completely bedridden for two solid months. My mom had to do everything—feeding him, bathing him, getting him dressed... the list goes on. It breaks my heart remembering everything she endured, especially since instead of being grateful, he would just yell at her and curse at her. I know he was acting out because of the pain, but still, it just wasn't fair to her. And now, at a time when I most need someone to lean on and be my rock, I feel like I have nobody. My dad has always been a total sensitive soul and prone to unnecessary panic attacks, and lately, he’s acting like Mom is already a lost cause, which hurts me deeply. I spent the entire night in prayer, holding onto hope that things will improve for her. I talked to her a little while ago, and she said she slept well, didn't cough too much, and is feeling just a tiny bit better. As long as there is life, there is hope; you just have to keep the faith. If I can offer some advice, try to find a way to bridge the gap with your dad. If you have to, meet him where he is. For instance, if he starts venting about the doctors, even if you disagree with him, just nod and go along with it. It might be the only way to actually reach his heart. Try talking to him about your childhood or those old shared memories. Don't be afraid to gently remind him of times he was tough on you or how much you looked up to him back then. It might show him that you still need him, and honestly, it might surprise you with a reaction that's totally different from how he usually acts.
Thanks so much! Regarding Christmas and New Year's, it might sound a little weird, but in my 22 years, I’ve never actually celebrated them out on the town. The very first people I personally wish a happy holiday to are always my parents. It’s a tradition my mom instilled in me, and it’s one I plan on keeping alive, no matter what anyone else thinks about it...
It doesn't necessarily have to be cancer. Personally, I think it’s more likely that because she was already sick before and didn't quite recover properly, some inflammation or a virus turned into a more serious case of bronchitis or pneumonia. It could even be asthma—chest pain is a very classic symptom of an asthma attack. I know you're scared; seeing someone you love struggling like this is incredibly hard, but honestly, the best thing you can do is try not to panic until the tests come back and you actually know what you're dealing with. If, God forbid, it is something worse, there will be a way to face it.
She has a tumor or a cyst that's blocking her esophagus, which is why she hasn't been able to eat normally. The doctor mentioned it might be benign, but he said the chances of that are slim. 😢 She’s already been in the hospital for three days, and who knows if she'll even make it home anytime soon. I'm terrified of what's coming. I just want everything to go well so she can at least come home by Christmas and we can celebrate New Year's together like we always do, but I feel like luck isn't on my side...👎
It feels like everyone around me is just dying this year. Damn this life and everything about it. 🙂
