wearyowl29 said:I was just scrolling through the news this morning and read about this absolute monster—some guy who slaughtered around 60 sex workers, and some people are even saying he might have ground them up into sausages. It’s gruesome stuff. It really got me thinking about why, by almost universal rule, serial killers are men and their victims are women, most often those working in the nightlife industry.
Where does all that deep-seated, pathological hatred toward women come from? Why do they feel driven to go on these relentless killing sprees...?
And honestly, why don't we see more female serial killers out there? Why does it always seem like they're the ones being targeted instead of the ones doing the targeting...?
How do you all make sense of this???😕
I’ve heard about that guy...
It’s sick...
Men are physically stronger... maybe that's part of it...
And street workers often deal with heavy drug use... they struggle financially even though they're selling themselves for high prices... I hope you know what I mean, but yeah.🙏
Hey everyone, I’m reaching out because I’m guessing a lot of you might be dealing with something similar. I’m hoping someone here can offer some advice or just a bit of guidance on what I’m going through. Lately, whenever my outlook on things gets a bit grim, I get this intense tightness in my left chest. Sometimes it turns into pain or tingling in my left arm, and I also feel this sharp ache and numbness in my back, right under my left shoulder blade.
I’ve been through the wringer with this—endless Google searches, countless trips to cardiologists, blood work, EKGs, Holter monitors, you name it. Everything comes back perfectly normal. Every single doctor keeps pointing me toward anxiety or stress, but honestly, that’s becoming a massive issue in itself. There are days when I can barely function at all because the tightness and pain are so bad. I’m constantly terrified I’m having a heart attack, and even the smallest bit of physical activity feels impossible. If anyone has dealt with this or has any actual, sensible advice, please let me know!
It’s a total rollercoaster. Some days I feel like I’m on top of the world, and other days I feel completely wiped out, struggling to even catch my breath, with zero motivation. My blood pressure has been running a little high lately too, so I’ve been managing that with Lisinopril.
Thanks in advance
I might skip this one... my leg's still messed up from the rodeo, so I'm not sure if I can make it
And honestly, what's even worth getting into? We've already got enough on our plates
😁 😁 😁

Now I'm actually going to grab another cup just out of pure spite😬

🤔 Hmm... let's see... that’s three coffees and one Red Bull. 😵 🙂 😵 🥳
🙂

No way, just some high school graduation stuff😉
But I like where you're going with that suggestion👍 😘 if only I actually could😢

Or they'll just switch over to the decaf version 😉
Decaf😕 😲
is boring compared to 😍 caffeine 🥳—that's where the real magic is!
So yeah, keep pulling my ear 🙂 🙂
😁
coppergardener said:Maybe try wearing a rubber band around your wrist—you know, give it a snap every time you feel the urge for one more spoonful? (I won't go overboard and start suggesting electric shocks right now...)😁
😲
🤣
😵 I honestly don't think even that would stop me.☕
Sam Hall15 said:Five coffees??? And without sugar at that... damn, you're a force to be reckoned with... Just don't overdo it. It’s actually quite difficult to establish an exact toxic threshold for humans, as testing those specific limits isn't exactly ethical in a controlled setting 😁 though unfortunately, the lethal dose is generally cited at about 140mg per kg of body weight for adults. A single cup usually contains somewhere between 55 to 85 mg of caffeine. Since caffeine is also found in various medications—like certain asthma treatments such as aminophylline or several types of analgesics—you really have to account for the cumulative effect if you're mixing coffee with prescription drugs 😁
Symptoms can include restlessness, insomnia, transient psychosis, and potentially even delirium. In extreme cases, one might experience convulsions (similar to an epileptic seizure), coma, cardiovascular issues like arrhythmias, or drops in blood pressure. Nausea, vomiting, and gastrointestinal bleeding can also occur
So, please just take care of yourselves 😁
I know I drink way too much coffee, but honestly, there's no helping me—I just love it too much...😍
But I'll try to cut back a little 👍
Anyway, thanks Doc! 😘

Seriously, just go to sleep... there is absolutely nothing important enough to justify staying up all night and wearing yourself out 🙂
I don’t even know, sometimes I’ll knock back up to five cups of coffee in a day. My first cup every morning is strictly black—no milk, no sugar. Honestly, I can't stand instant coffee or cappuccinos; that just doesn't count as real coffee to me. The reason I'm asking is because I have to pull an all-nighter, so I've basically armed myself with endless caffeine and Red Bull. I'm just trying to make sure I don't end up as tomorrow's headline: "Local woman overdoses on caffeine." 😬
You can't just go around drinking two liters at once
It’s pretty much impossible to overdose unless you’re actually trying to
Does anyone know what the recommended daily caffeine limit is before you start hitting overdose territory? Like, what’s the rough cutoff line?
Angela Wright said:..I mean, if her report explicitly states glioblastoma, then it's glioblastoma, not an astrocytoma...
I realized immediately that I asked such a silly question 😁
how is your mom doing?
Angela Wright said:Glioblastoma is basically Grade 4 brain cancer, which usually falls under the general umbrella of gliomas. For instance, there's also astrocytoma, which is considered Grade 3.
I was pretty confused about all this myself until they finally sat me down and explained it.
Aha, so it's Grade IV, but hers is multicentric?😕
And is it normal for her to be acting a bit goofy after surgery, like she's constantly joking around and laughing?
Angela Wright said:glioblastoma MF, diagnosed exactly 2 years ago. My mom was talking a ton after her surgery—she wasn't fading at all—but about a month and a half later, things just leveled out and she seemed totally back to normal. She didn't have any issues with walking or anything else. For 6 months until the recurrence showed up, she was functioning like a perfectly healthy person.
And what stage? Sorry if that's too blunt a question
